Planning on writing again.

Got an idea for a story in an insane asylum, written using medical records. Gotta do a bunch of research on mental hospitals, treatment, and mental illnesses first.

Given the statewide medical emergency that would be necessary to cause the governor to take such action, these tactics all sound like essential and acceptable steps in containing and controlling a severe breakout of some kind of deadly communicable disease.

Do you have a link to the bill? I'm sure it includes other criteria such as when such measures could be implemented.

It's not like the government now gets to medicate it's population whenever it wants. Don't fearmonger, especially in such a negligently incorrect manner.

I don't know how to explain the problem exactly because we haven't been able to figure out what the fuck is wrong. At one point we got the PC to connect but not the MacBook. I think it might revolve around the fact that our ISP doesn't require a username and password, because the Mac asks for these when connecting, but I'm not sure.

I believe my friend said that the AirPort wasn't assigning an IP.

Shrike, I PM'd you some more info, and I'm sure you'll have specific questions I can answer.

Thanks everyone. <3

I'm going to kill my ISP and/or Apple.

I've been trying to set up a wireless network for my laptop using an AirPort express, but I haven't been able to get it to work on both the laptop and PC. So I finally gave up and got a PCI card for the PC so that they can both run off the wireless network.

BUT, for some COMPLETELY UNKNOWN REASON, the MacBook isn't able to connect to the network, even though the PC can. Completely fucking frustrating. There's no reason it shouldn't work.

So anyone who knows networking, I need some serious help. I'm going to call my ISP and then Apple to see what they can tell me, but this has been wayyyy more of a hassle than it should be.

Exactly. Sometimes you just need someone who can hold you, cuddle, watch TV... just BE THERE. And right now I can't do that.

How long had you guys been together?

It'll be a year on the 21st.

Let me give you some advice, as the old lady whos been there. Dont make educational decisions based on relationships. No matter how much you love that person. Do what YOU need to, to get the career you need. I've seen so many people end up at schools, alone, because plans were made around love, not academics.

Oh yeah, I've hear this lecture, haha. And I fully understand. I mean, I was going to move to Minnesota, but MSU has the right programs for me (LIKE YOU TOLD ME TO! =D).

If it's meant to be, your relationship will find a way around the barriers.

Yeah. We feel like even if we have to take a break, we can still end up together.

and I'm glad we got to talk on aim, I missed having you around. :-)

Oh, TOTALLY FORGOT HAHA OOPS.

Having some problems with my girlfriend. She lives downstate, like 7 hours away, and it's starting to get to the point where she doesn't know how long she can keep going on without someone with her who can hold her and be there for her and give her what she needs. So... yeah. I don't know if we're going to be separating or what, but it sucks. We love each other very much, and want this to work, but we don't know what to do.

I've basically decided on MSU now, so after I graduate this year, I'll only be a couple hours away... But still. If she needs someone for now who she can be WITH, then I guess I understand that. And if it's meant to work, we'll get together again in the future.

Bluhhh. Confused.

So I bought a new MacBook Pro, and I have to say I'm loving it. Everything runs so fast I barely even know it's doing it, I'm so used to it taking a noticeably long time on my PC.

Gonna get the wifi set up in the next couple days, so right now I'm stealing internets from our neighbours. Gotta love 'em.

In other news, school's starting soon, gonna graduate this year. Planning on going to either the University of Minnesota or Michigan State. Maybe 7C's can tell me a little bit about what type of programs I need to go into in college to get into teaching? <3

So yeah.

Hey everyone.

Yes, it's me. I'm alive. I would like to apologize to anyone who could have been offended by my abrupt and unannounced departure. However, I felt that the Politics forum was no longer a place of interest for me.

That being said, I have decided, with the help of my good ole pal BrianEtrius, that I would very much like to be assimilated back into the group. I've rather missed NG and the role it played in my daily life.

I haz cookies. =3
