Is it immoral to post your own videos?
Hey everyone. I'm curious as to how everyone directs their fellow voice actors with scripts. Do most people send individual lines relating to that actors specific characters, or is the full script typically sent to everyone?
Ah, scratch that last post. I figured that part out myself. Thanks for all the help!
Well, it certainly helped. Although a new question is raised.
It now toggles on and off, but it doesn't match what's written in the textbox.
The textbox will say "All ur base", but will only show the "Cool that this text can also be edited from here =)" example that was included. How can I match it to the textbox?
This guys bilingual, so he speaks AS1 & AS2. I suppose it's AS2 primarily.
All I really got from that was to give my Movieclip an instance name
I see, so making the layer invisible is impossible. It's not like I need the layer itself to toggle like that, I just thought it would be easier. As is stands, I have a nice little button made, and a movieclip with the text in it. I just don't know how to turn that text on and off whenever you click the button. ^-^'
I'm hopeless when it comes to Actionscript, so I now turn to my fellow Newgrounders to help me with my little problem. While the movie plays, I'd like it to have a button right next to Play/Pause that makes certain layers invisible. To be more specific, I'd like to give my viewers the option to toggle subtitles and the like on and off, but can't find the code needed to do so.
I'd appreciate any help.
Ah! Problem solved.
I downloaded a Swf to Gif converter and was able to set the frame delay myself. Thanks for the help ^-^b
No, the Gif is running pretty smoothly. I know my computer speed isn't the problem
I made a Gif using flash, but it's running really slow for some reason. About 12 fps I think. It's clearly set to 24 fps and jacking it up any higher doesn't change anything. The settings seem correct and I don't know of any improper layering that may be causing the problem. Is there a solution to this?
No, I know for a fact that it's switching them around by itself.
I did find a temporary fix to it. Switching the corrupted image type to "Movie Clip", then swapping it with the correct tween fixes the problem. In some cases though, this won't work >.>
After a few days of making a flash video, I've encountered a weird problem that I can't fix for the life of me. Lets say I paste a sprite of Mario standing and stretch it out for a couple of frames. I then paste a sprite of his jump animation and stretch that over a few frames.
Good so far right? I then highlight the jump frames and click "Add Tween". The sprite of Mario jumping automatically changes right back to Mario's standing sprite. I've looked into it myself and it seems as though the tween likes to pretend it's one of the other graphics or movie clips I already have. Duplicating them or changing names has done nothing.
I first fixed this by placing frames manually instead of using a tween, but it's come up a second time and I'd like to know of any methods to fix it. Can someone please help?
Perfect! Thank's for the help ^-^
How would I go about running a f;ash loop along with a preloader?
Here's the basic run-down of what i'm asking. I'm using the newgrounds preloader. Let's say I want to have a loop of a man sleeping, and a snooze bubble keeps growing and shrinking. As soon as the movie finishes loading and the play button appears, he awakens and his bubble pops. Then you just click the play button and the movie continues normally.
How would I match the animation to the preloader like that?
Ouch...what a pain.
Thanx for the help
I notice everytime I zoom or back out of the canvas, my brush stay's the same size., so it's a little hard to accurately draw the same width of lining when zooming in without adjusting the brush size manually each time. i might not be explaining it all too well...
Picture MS Paint. Whenever you make the picture bigger, the brush size enlarges along with it, so the lines stay the same size no matter what. Is there an option in flash that let's you do the same thing?
Right, I posted positions for a flash video a while ago, and since one of my actors hasnt replied for weeks, he's being replaced by someone more important >.>
Anyway, the position is Inuyasha for an "Inuyasha Numa" flash. It'll only be hosted on youtube for the time being, but once I get more experienced in flash, it'll be on newgrounds soon enough.
It's only a small part, but if anyones interested, PM me :D
Im making a second installment of Inuyasha Numa, (which was hosted on youtube, but will be back up somewhere soon).
My last actor hasn't replied to any of my e-mails, so I need another. The visuals are all done, but I still need Inuyasha's lines. If anyones interested, PM me.
Hey, looking for 2 actors.
Im telling everyone now its an Inuyasha Numa video. My second in fact, and im using voice overs in this one. One voice to play Inuyasha And one for Kagome. There are very few lines for both people, about three or four each, and the video will NOT be hosted on newgrounds because I dont have flash studio.
Please dont say "LEIK Z0MG T3H NUMA IS 0LD 4ND GEY". My first one came out soon after the original did so it was highly enjoyed, and still is.
It will be on youtube, but thats about it. Any takers?
Hell I make Sonic fan comics, Can i join?
Its the law of the internet jungle.
