uhhh... its really not a simple as finding a tutorial and drawing it like that... yourbest luck would be to just draw it off of a picture. what I do is bring the picture into flash, and draw next to it, so you have personal reference, and the colors that you need

Collage Campus Winners Posted March 16th, 2006 in General

Do you guys remember the NG promotion for the collages? For those of you who won this, did anyone get their prizes yet? Cause I apparently won a T' Shirt and some stickers, "what Tom said" and I still haven't gotten them... wich is weird because I sent out an order for 55 stickers, and I still never got those either... i'm starting to get mad at the US postal service :(

The school in san fran. is good i remember hearing good things about it. And as for the NY school its also pretty good but i dont remember them having a strong animation heavy offerings. Its always been a more traditional art & design type of thing.

On a side note you may want to consider a more broad major and just beef up on animation through your elective selections. I think you take a far more versatile approach that way. Part of of good commercial animation is being a good designer just as part of good filmmaking is being a good traditional artist.
So you could also consider majors in illustration, design, and or fine arts even (if you are one of those crazy independent artist types, a good example of this type of person is Aloneinthedark)

strong point well taken... hmm well there is a lot of stuff I can do I guess... but i'm just not exactly sure yet... I'll probably just go searching for a while though collages and see what I can find... keep posting links to some good ones in case i can't find any...

How do you know that exactly? Have you tried it?

in a sense, my computer crashed at about 5,000 - 6,000 don't remember exactly, i guess it would determine what you have in the library also... and that isn't exact, but i was saying, if that person can go over 9,000 in the library, then i dunno... cause I don't see there to be a point of 9,000 + library files, but what I was saying is that since my computer crashed at 5,000 if his computer can get passed that, then it would probably crash at 9,000 and its doubtfull that there is an actuall limit, but it is possible, this is one of those questions that dosn't really matter, but if you want to know, then check the macromedia (or should I say formally known as macromedia) website.

Response to: is there a limit in library Posted March 15th, 2006 in Game Development

unless you can get passed about 9,000.. wich is doubtfull, cause i know they can get pretty high, but just keep in mind the file size

Response to: Newgrounds at school... Posted March 15th, 2006 in Game Development

not sure if this situation has been solved or not, but here is my two cents...

When i'm at school I can't get to NG either, so instead of going there, i just go to www.ngcollabs.com

NGcollabs is a great lil fourm, and everyone there is nice, i'm not advertising or anything, but if your at school and can't get to NG just go there, its a lot of fun, plus you can learn things about flash on that site... so yeah, i suggest you check it out. Its a very well ran fourm, and well modded too ( yours truely )

anyways, another thing is, that if you try to go to NG on the schools computer, usually they are blocked due to general pornography and such. And also if you do find a way, the school computers are monitored, so it is possible for you to loose computer privilages, (at least at my school) if you really wanna learn more about this, find a hacking fourm and ask there, that way you can hack the computer and get rid of NG's blocker for a period of time..

This video was not stolen, only the concept of the game, the actionscipting is different none the less... the graphics are all origional, and the gameplay is semi different... I think this game did very well with the other competition out there, this game is not stolen. end of discussion

I am wondering how I get a continuous loop without a pause between the end of the ambience and the beginning of the ambience. Normally it wouldn't be too much of a hassle but imagine if you are playing the program for 10 minutes, I know I would not want to hear pauses every two seconds.

open in audacity, then cut the empty space out.. if that dosn't work, then make 2 layers, and just overlay the sound files continueoulsly, for about a minuet, then fade out.. and fade in

with the v-cam, its really easy, just make a new layer, on top of all the other ones, and wherever the screen of the v-cam is, thats what appears when you "test movie" play around with it for a while, its really usefull
