//make a dynamic text box called score_out
function basicEnc(var_num:Number) {
var_num *= 0.1;

function basicDec(var_num:Number) {
var_num *= 10;
return (var_num);

var holder:Number = 0;
var fakie:Number = 0;//this far is to fool cheaters
_root.onEnterFrame = function(){
holder = basicDec(holder);
holder ++;
holder = basicEnc(holder);
score_out.text = Math.round(basicDec(holder));
fakie = basicDec(holder);
}

this is just a basic example, that's why I made the encoding so simple... if the cheater tries to change the var he's viewing, he won't succeed

Response to: Flash Memory Editing Posted January 4th, 2006 in Game Development

encode your precious vars like scores then let only their display decoded, then a cheater would only change the HUD/display =D

Response to: What Is Wrong With My Script!!! Posted December 29th, 2005 in Game Development

it seem the bullets are bypassing the objects (I'm not sure but looks like this is the problem), because of the speed (around +50 per framesecond)
