I really don't know what can be said about that. I'm running Windows XP and I installed it fine. What version of XP is it?

Neither post would have been wasted if people had bothered to read them. FIG could have answered it for himself, but CHEESEGOD was online when the question was asked, so why not answer it then himself? Then FIG didn't mention anything further because he thought surely after that people knew the answer. But they didn't, and CHEESEGOD grew a little frustrated that people ignored his post and posted again. At least that's what I make of it.

So if you ignored CHEESEGOD's posts, what makes you think it would have been any less of a waste if FIGMENTUM had made the same two posts?

Good to see everyone is in the drunken, belligerent holiday spirit. And yes, if anyone is interested in being a part of the beta test, please sign up for it. I will probably start the installments tomorrow.

I found Dogmeat in either Junktown or the Hub. I was walking around, came across it, and afterwards it just kept following me around. I found out that it was because it's previous owner used to wear a leather jacket, and I was wearing a leather jacket at the time I found it.

Interesting...

So which part did Recon invent exactly. It seems that the only thing there is to invent in the system except for your inventions is making a list of the members.

Well, Recon invented it by starting to post the list in the first place. FIGMENTUM refined it mostly in terms of the presentation. For example, how we use bold to show a gain in rank and italics to show a loss, keeping track of trialers, giving a total of posts that week, etc. It's quite a cute little brainchild they've created.

Recon's rank from the previous list should have read very rare-2. We've been getting it wrong for several weeks, ever since I counted his posts wrong and left his rank unchanged.

Secondly, Pure_Greatness is only on the list once (unless he joined under an additional account). Slightly_Crazy_Dude and -Sean_of_the_Dead- were the names I listed twice because they began and passed their trials in the same week (I decided to assign them numbers on the list and mention them in the Lost Trialers section).

I think he is suggesting that Pure_Greatness is an alt account. An absolutely absurd thought ;-).

At 12/6/04 10:17 AM, JackOfShadows wrote: I think Red invented it, anyway it's awesome. Or was that Trivia?

Recon invented it, and FIGMENTUM refined it. The posting rule and promotion system were my inventions.

Indeed you did. I guess I can't ask for anything more on top of that.

Mostly because I realized what I had posted was pretty ignorant even for a joke, but I didn't expect you, someone who actually does know me, to snap at me for it. No hard feelings though, I just felt that you getting angry over it was a sign that my posting in here was just causing trouble/argument at the time.

I understand what you mean. As I also said earlier, though, I may know you and the way you converse with people, but it doesn't mean I'm always going to like it. It's all I've ever known from you, so I'm used to it most of the time. Other times, however, I'm just not in the mood for it. If my post came off as a snap to you, then I also apologize. I have no problem with you being a part of this club, I simply took issue with your post before, because it appeared to be a needless flame. Jack was in no way rude to you in his post, so I saw no need to directly insult him. Least of all, question his intelligence because of a simple typo. Now if what you say is true, and your post really was just a joke, then I would also ask that you be more sure of whether or not the person in question shares your sense of humor before making a post of that nature.

Anyway, as I was saying, if you want to be a part of this club, then by all means be a part of it. You can contribute to it as much as anyone else, so I would prefer if you did. My intentions were not to have you leave, rather I was simply asking that you consider the things you say and people you say them to more before you actually do it.

One thing, however, doesn't make total sense to me. If you say you don't take anything seriously, then why did my post keep you away from here for more than a week?

I beat it on my first try, so I don't have a whole lot of strategy to give you. Just make sure your magic users don't have any fire spells equipped, and try to use water spells as much as you can. I'm sure I don't have to tell you to have a healer in your party. Other than that, focus on the boss himself first, before you move on to his companions.
