I seem to have started a war.

In other news, I'm being forced to go back to church in about 10 minutes. I told my mom that her telling me to be a Christian only took me farther away, so she responded with her famous quote, "Well the bible says..."

She seems to believe that everyone believes in the bible, so if you're an atheist then you must know that there is a god, which is false.

Oh I've noticed.

It's been a year, so I decided to rant on newgrounds to possibly get some comedic relif out of my irritation.
Anyone else agree that religion is destroying us?
The first time I was screamed at was by my brother, over religion. I was listening to one of my favorite metal bands (Who happen to be Christian), when he ripped the headphones out of my ear, slammed the PSP onto the ground, and screamed at me for "going down the wrong path and listening to all of this 'goth death rock' stuff." He continued to scream at me for about 15 minutes, being that I was trapped in the car ride home after church.

Now he has completely changed, going from listening to horrible gangster rap to gospel music.

So I, an Agnostic, am being forced to go to church every Sunday.

I already know, there is nothing I can do about it. If I thought there was, I certainly wouldn't be asking NG for advice.

Well after a month, my mom finally gave up. I now have everything back, and I don't have to go to church. It turns out that my Fail (giving in) resulted in Win.

Well I wrote the paper.
I failed
But it basically went like this:
Mom: No guitar untill you write the paper.
Me: I can live without that.
Mom: God damnit just write the paper!

Actually I'm more of an agnostic, and if you can prove it, I'll believe it. I'm not really on the "God is fake" side, but I'm on the "keep it to yourself side.
I did not create this thread to talk about religion. This thread was based on my mom.

And to answer a question, yes, most of my family is like that. I went to my aunt's house and I couldn't eat dinner until I said a bible verse.
My dad is more of a "Say you are atheist again and you won't have a computer" type of person.

For me, I wouldn't say "God isn't real."
I'm more of a "I don't believe God is real."

It's kinda hard for me to say I hate stereotypes when my mom makes me want to hate christians.
My Dad is the same way, but to him if I tell him I'm not christian, he tells me that "If I keep talking stupid then I won't be able to use the computer anymore."

My mom strikes again.
Well she took my music and I can't play any guitar now because I told her that I'm an atheist (again).
She got pissed and started yelling because when I was like 7 or so, I "accepted jesus." So basically she kept saying "You can't just 'out think' God," And other stuff like that.

Well she decided to negotiate.

I can only get my music and guitar back if I write a 3 page report on Salvation ONLY using examples from the bible and the dictionary.

And she wonders why I didn't choose to be like her.

Just asked my mom if i can listen to christian rock/metal, since i dont listen to music for religous views.
She said if its rock/metal, then no.

i tried. Thats what got them to think i was corrupted and shouldn't have a computer.

My mom says it's me being corrupted, and because I live in her house, I do what she says.
My response, Isn't the house in America?

Well the church actually uses our money, all of a sudden we have like 3 Xbox 360s, 3 nintendo Wiis, you know...
