Looking for Chibi art - paid Posted May 15th, 2013 in Art

Hi all!

I am looking to commission a pretty simple bit of chibi style art, a simple avatar of myself - with a relatively quick turn around & can pay through paypal

youre probably thinking, why don't I just do it myself? well yah i do a bit of drawing - but I'm looking for someone with a bit more of a sense for anime with a much cleaner style

so if you're interested just let me know and I'll check out your art page or DA or whatever and get back to you!

I'm looking for something along these lines maybe (see below)

Response to: Collaboration Forum Lounge Posted October 4th, 2012 in Collaboration

the key thing for a collab to work out is a dedicated organizer -- no one really wants to babysit all the animators involved
(i did it once or twice and it was pretty tough)

It's too bad there aren't nearly as many traditional collabs as there were a few years back - - not even staff collabs anymore

How 2 turn Reg. Lines into 8/16bit Posted August 29th, 2012 in Audio

I'm trying to turn some plain old regular recorded lines into 8bit - - so they sound more at home in an 8 or 16 bit environment

I linked a video in this newspost of what I'm talking about

I only have garage band and audacity - but any and all help is seriously appreciated!

Response to: This is Your Final Chance. Posted June 19th, 2012 in NG News

I'd have to Second what AsthmaticHamster said - Hopefully they will relaunch it with a smaller cap - -seems like they already have so much done to just quit and drop off progress - Maybe they will have to make some cuts, lose a few episodes, get a little thrifty; but i hope they still produce it in some capacity.

Neither Logic or Protools have any good strings built in, so the things your looking for are Plug-ins.
As a logic user, I suggest buying Logic Pro, its fairly cheap and quite straight-to-the-point, it wont take long to have the basics down, Protools has a learning curve equal to a brick wall.

And whit the money you save on Logic can go to buying some higher-end plugins, im not much of a symphonic producer, but im pretty sure Native-Instruments "Komplete" bundle will give you what you want including a lot of other things like synths and drums, the bundle is also fairly cheap.

But if you feel like spending some extra dollars, I suggest looking into "Komplete Ultimate" (Like "Komplete", only more!), IK Multimedias "Philharmonik" or if you have a lot of hardrive-space, anything from East/West (Symphonic orchestras, choirs, guitars, cinematic drums e.t.c. e.t.c.).

^^Awesome man - this is really helpful - thank you!the learning curve is actually important to me cuz i know garageband so well & i know that it has a lot of similarities with logic -

@backfrompurgatory - - thanks as well! - - everything is actually making more sense - i guess i need both of those in the end! - thanks man

Response to: Best Software for Strings Posted April 18th, 2012 in Audio

I only wish i knew what VSTs or DAWs were haha - - are they like plugins to existing software? - - if so - -what is the software that you actually "create"/ "edit" the music in?

sorry i'm a noob with this shit

Best Software for Strings Posted April 18th, 2012 in Audio

What's up Newgrounds Musicians!

I have always had such huge respect for the musicians here, in both their talent and their knowledge of hardware and software -

so i come to you with this - - Due to getting my recent job, i have come into a bit of money and am looking into buying a more professional piece of software to produce music (vs garage band haha)

so what is best if i am really looking into creating a lot of music with (ideally) great sounding strings?
Something like hear in the intros of these songs:

if so i would love to gain this feature !

Response to: Voice Actors needed Posted April 13th, 2012 in Collaboration

Main Character's friend #1: The tech-oriented assistant, he's more quiet and reserved. He's the more rational and wise of the group

i'd consider doing this voice - - perhaps if i could see some character art?

Response to: MONEY Posted April 13th, 2012 in NG News

all of you guys at NG have been working so hard for so long on this thing - i wouldn't mind seeing the NG staff takin' that money and livin it up a bit - - i don't find it likely that any corporation would change the intrinsic Newgrounds atmosphere much. (besides removing the hentai)

Need -level Designer/level Artist Posted February 27th, 2012 in Collaboration

HELLO WORLD

I am looking to make a game. Simple fun and Addictive. Think Mario(superNES), Think Megaman, think simple Platform jumping guy against cool classic style bosses.

Some Great Examples of people who have done the like:

  • Hunters - Stage 6

So here's the deal:

The programmer will handle all of the ins and outs of stringing the game together.

I will be handling the Character sprites, doing the music and sfx, cutscenes, and directing the game

The concept of the game is already established (not that it will be a concept heavy game anyways...)

What we need is:

-Some who can come up with interesting layouts for different worlds / platforms ect.. levels that will
be fun and interesting/challenging to play through. (they will need to have paralax)

-Design and create said worlds and prep them for the programmer

-Help me brainstorm basic ideas for the game ( intricacies of boss fights, and level dynamics)

if you are interested in taking a shot at this and creating a fun game with me/us - - shoot me a pm or comment on here
--thanks all--
