sadly enough, you are correct. The United States was intended to be a certain way and has strayed from what it was... and so has practically ever government that has existed.

Dictatorship, like any other government, can work... the real question is, for how long?

Response to: dictatorship can work Posted December 9th, 2002 in Politics

Dictatorship isn't really a viable type of governmental system. An entire society running on the ideals and leadership of one person is too risky... There is too much of a possibility that the dictator is corrupt or unjust, which in turn would throw the entire system off balance. Granted, if there was a good and fair leader then it might work, but like stated earlier, a leader has to instill fear into their subjects in order to remain in control.

The media in the US is not the greatest... however, just imagine if that freedom were gone. Hitler and Mussolini both printed false information and propaganda in the media... which they used to control the civillians.

Hitler was able to take control of Germany, because after the treaty of versailles, Germany was much like France when Napoleon took over: They were hungry for leadership and were willing to listen to anyone who stepped up to the microphone. Hitler promised to get back at those who mistreated Germany, and the people were willing to do whatever it took...

Every instance of dictatorship that has gone on has ultimately failed... so that just goes to show how successful it is. The perfect government has yet to be discovered... and probably will never occur due to the nature of mankind... people are too greedy and self centered for the most part.

Do this: Find the original boxes that your computer came in. Disassemble your entire machine and put it back into the box. Use correct postage and send your computer back to the manufacturer. Then move to Pennsylvania and become Amish.

I hope this solves your problem.

There are rumors that you might have to pay for FF11 when it goes online... which I would play it if it were free, but I doubt I would pay to play... supposedly Sony was going to make it where all you had to do was but the internet adapter however, they are thinking about issuing a monthly fee...

My favorite storyline is definately 7, but 6 follows a close second.

Response to: Say Goodbye to the Greenback? Posted April 11th, 2002 in Politics

Not a bad idea. Most other countries have multi-colored bills. I wonder why they're all green anyway? Probably a holdover from earlier times.

If the bills are changed, I wonder what will happen to the old ones. They will probably be taken out of circulation, which means that the US is going to have to repeat what most of Europe did when they adopted the Euro-Dollar. That is going to be a huge pain in the ass for most people.

The United States treasury is proposing an idea to try and defend against counterfitters. How? By changing the color of certain monetary units. According to the plan, the $1 bill will remain unchanged, however the 10, 20, 50, and 100 bills would have their colors changed. Read it here.

we may never know.
Excuse me, did you ever think that maybe the reason get pissed off at things like black history month is not that they discriminate, but because it is the fact, as you did aptly point out, that they in fact in gender segregation which gives birth to discrimination, and that the fact that we are not allowed to have a "white history month" is in fact a form of discrimination. Like it or not, everyone is oppressed in some form or another now a days, not just the minority. No, I am not a racist but our freedoms are limited everyday. Some things should simply not be allowed: discrimination that prevents holding a job or office, violence based on race, gender, etc. and the like. It has now come to the point where you cannot say anything remotely offensive or something that challenges any of the aspects of political correctness, including those which stand to take away our first ammendment rights, without fearing for your livelihood and being labeled a bigot. As for a further point, the reason why we have black history month....there were enough black people to bitch to get attention. Appearantly they are not so powerless. It is for this same reason why do not have months for other minorities...most do not care enough to bitch to get their own month. Furthermore, as for Black History month giving black people special treatment, all giving special treatment does in a situtation like this is instill the idea that you require this treatment. This can have one of two effects...either one, you think there is something wrong with you that you need to be specially treated, or two, you feel you deserve special treatment and expect it more often. Neither of these effects can be good, and are in part the result of a lot of our racial problems today.
One further point, as for black people being so downtrodden...tell that my uncle who was CEO of a small computer corporation till it lost its shirt last year, and also tell that to any native american...at least africans still have their own countries of origin to return to.

If I am correct, September is "Hispanic-American" month. I'm pretty sure it really exists, but it isn't commercialized like Black History Month.

I personally don't have a problem with Black History Month. I don't have a problem with Black people or white people or Asians or whatever. I do have a problem with racism and anyone that practices it.

It seems to me that Racism can be eliminated, it's just that some people don't want it to.

Obviously you don't understand what the term means. And stop trying to classify me politically. Another thing that would be helpful is if you cut back on the labeling and stereotyping.

Did you read my last post? I'm beginning to think that liberals have selective reading problems. I said that I disagree with how some people live. And that I realize that there is nothing I can do about the way these pigs live.

You know, labeling and stereotyping people is a sign of ignorance. You keep saying "damn those leftists" yet you dont see anybody saying "damn those righties!".

And its a good thing that you can't control the way people live. Nobody should have that power but the individual living his/her own life.

You are wrong. I can tell people what and what not to do. Yet we live in America, and since I have no authority, they can choose to follow me, or not follow me. It's up to them. But I have every right to tell people what I think, and what they should do.

Yes, you can express your opinions. But instead of merely voicing your opinion, you are insinuating that we take steps to eliminate something that you disagree with, simply because they don't live their life how you think they should. THAT is wrong.

Refer to like 20 posts above this. I'm really getting tired of writing the same damned things over and over and over and over and over again. Soon i'm just going to just respond by: Refer to post: X

Response to: AIDS is a good thing. Posted November 24th, 2001 in Politics

Hmm. You whine about me not having an open mind, yet does your so called "open-mind" encompass my ideals?

I have an open mind because I am willing to accept all aspects of life and not to close it to anything. Anything but ignorance and intolerance. I don't try to change the world to suit my needs, because the world is for everyone, and not just for your approval.

Basically you whine just like the other guy did. And if you look back, it was AnarchyPenguin who started the name calling.

So you considering making relevant points as whining? Oh I see. And it doesn't matter who started the name calling, its the fact that you participated in it.

Why do I care how other people live? Because for the most part it disgusts me. And thats me. I don't have to "accept people for how they are" in your criminal leftist way of understanding. It's my opinion. I'd rather live in a more wholesome society. But I also respect that people will do what they do reguardless. No matter how much it disgusts me, I can't change it. I don't believe in enforcing disgusting fascist control as you might.

So if we can't accept people as how they are, how do we accept them? If they aren't up to your standards, then what do we do? Do we just banish them away? Oh well then, let's just eliminate everyone that doesn't meet your approval quota! That should just solve the problem immediately!

Guess what: People don't answer to you, and you have no business telling other people what they can/cannot do, and how they can/cannot live their life.

Here's what i'm trying to get across. Due to the actions of these degenerate animals, why should a portion of my tax dollars have to go to their mistakes? It's as simple as that.

Oh, so should we also take away funding for cancer patients? I mean, with your logic, it must be their fault that they have cancer. They should have taken better care of their bodies, right? Damn those degenerate animals!

I'm glad that there aren't many people like you in the world. Your kind of ignorance and intolerance is the kind that breeds hate and bigotry.

Response to: AIDS is a good thing. Posted November 24th, 2001 in Politics

Biseor: It seems that someone here has a problem with the way people live their lives. Where do you find the authority to condemn a person's own way of life? What makes your life so much better than anybody else's? Nothing at all. You go around yelling and screaming about how your opinions are the only right ones and if anyone says anything different, you result to childish insults. You called AnarchyPenguin a facist, yet you seem to be the only person unable to accept anybody else's thoughts or opinions. Especially the fact that you condemn a whole politically party, one of which your probably have no understanding of.

You are in desperate need of an open mind. Your close-mindness has altered your ability to make judgement and hear both sides of the argument. You need to realize that just because a person practices a different lifestyle than yours, does not make them evil, and it does not make them bad people. You seem to have sexual frustration of some sort, or some other problem that needs to be professionally addressed. Or maybe its the fact that you were brainwashed as a child into thinking that "everything that I don't understand or know nothing about is wrong!". Another thing you should take into context is that those people don't care about how you live your life, so why should you care about they way they live theirs?

Now, go ahead and call me a facist, marxist, faggot, lefty, or any other childish insult you can come up with. It will only make you look less inteligent than you already do.

I'll take that as a compliment, I think.
Humans don't always want what they can't have, but in some instances they do. It depends on what is appealing to that person's own perception. Not everyone is the same, therefore different people want different things. I believe Momar did a good job of explaining it in his post. When it comes down to it: Yes, stealing is a natural human instinct. It is just that some have been taught better than others not to do such a thing.
So, you're saying that it's against our nature not to steal, or take what is not yours, so if no-one owned anything, then there would be no stealing. Or are you saying that people horde things....because they do?

Yes, I am saying that it IS human nature to steal and take what is not ours. Of course, if we were living during primitive times, I doubt that humans would have any conception of ownership, and everything would be probably be shared.

When it boils down to it, crime is committed for some sort of personal gain. Whether it be a poor boy in the slums stealing some shoes, a homeless man stealing bread to eat, or even a young boy stealing candy from a candy store. They all do it to help themselves. Why? Because of human nature. Why is human nature like this? Blame genetics, God, or whatever you want. It can't really be explained. Or maybe it can?
