Wow. Just wow. I was doing a search on Google and I stumbled on to this topic... brings back a lot of memories. And to think this crew is still kickin'!

For those that don't know/are too lazy to check the first page of the topic, I was an original member of this crew before it died. I haven't really posted much on Newgrounds for a couple of years but when I saw this topic was still alive and well, well I just had to drop in and say hello.

I doubt PBX, the founder, still hangs out around here these days. The guy is almost impossible to find period. I also wouldn't be surprised if no one else from '03-'04 still posts in this topic. Oh well... thanks for all of the memories, guys. :)

That's just the thing, Outlaw. Kraft's name WAS a play on Kraft Cheese. Another character in the game is named Neige, whom had a relationship with Kraft before the game began, and from what I've heard, Neige is japanese for CHEESE. So, Kraft and Cheese.

And Majin, did you know that Teguman.EXE is going to appear in BN6? I have yet to see a picture of him, but I hear he looks a lot like the original.

They were better off changing it to "Megaman Kart."

On an unrelated note, if anyone actually cares, Megaman Zero 4 was released in Europe last month. I downloaded a ROM of the game, and I already noticed two glaring differences which bug me. The first is that they got rid of the superb voice acting during the summary at the beginning, and that they changed Kraft's name to Craft (I prefer having a 'k' instead of a 'c' in names).

I think it was along the lines of "You're not just some overgrown slug. Get out of my way."

Yeah, in Zero 1 it was a bitch to kill because of the stage itself, but Zero 2 it was rather weak.

Yellow Devil - Megaman 1, Megaman 3, Power Battles, Power Fighters

Green Devil (what he was refering to) - Megaman 8, Megaman & Bass

Moon Ra - Megaman World 5

Shadow Devil (what you were refering to) - Megaman X5

Was that Sexy Juitso (can't spell) thing censored or not? And how much was changed. Please tell me not much, I have heard so much about this anime and have been wanting to see it for a while now.
I saw it. to my suprise, so far I couldnt find any differences from the anmerican and Japan versions (I only saw vol.1 :( ). To answer your quest ion, the mist, or cloud, or what ever the hell you want to call it did block the nipples and crouch area. I believe they did it lie that in the Manga to so I dont think it was edited to be like that. I wish the called it the "Ninja Center-fold" and "Ninja Harem" like in the manga instead of "sexy jutsu."

From what I've heard from the manga (I haven't read the first few volumes of it), they translated the attacks, since all of them in the japanese version ended with 'no jutsu.' Only difference in the dub is that they also translated it and and removed the no, so instead of being Sexy no Jutsu it became Sexy Jutsu. And there was only one time I believe that there was nudity in the manga, when Konohamaru shows Ebisu the jutsu. Other than that, Naruto as an anime in whole has NEVER (from where I'm at) shown any sort of nudity.

Lightning Blade - Chidori/Lightning Edge
Multi Shadow Clone - Kage Bunshin

Sexy Jutsu - Oroike
Harem Jutsu - Harem
Barrage of Lions - Shishi Rendan
Sharingan - Sharingan

So, I'm assuming Byukagan is being left unchanged as well. :) Yaaaay Naruto.

And this is why Naruto is so awesome, even after being dubbed. Seriously, they did a good job with it, the small complaints aside. :D

Oh yes, they show blood in the anime but drops of it fling from the mouths of the characters? Of course not. I was even driven to the point of tearing up, when they didn't show blood flying from the Third's nose when Naruto performed the Sexy no Jutsu on him. So what does this mean? No copious amounts of blood for you my friend.

The lack of nosebleeds did get me. I was hurt, really. It just seemed weird to see Ebisu go flying without the blood.

Onto the voices. While Naruto's, The Third's, Konahamaru, and Ebisu's voices were alright, Hyuuga Hinata and Iruka's voices irked the hell out of me. Hinata's voice sounded a little to high and whiny for my taste while Iruka's voice is just plain annoying. Why? I'll give you an example:

Naruto's voice sucked. <_<; I absolutely hated that in the moments where he was trying to act bad ass, the voice acting failed to deliver. But I will agree on the others, but adding Mizuki in as well, since it just seemed to... fit. As for the crappy ones, yes, Hinata sucked, but I found Iruka to be a bit more generic. Sakura needed to sound more girly (same with Ino)... and poor Shikamaru. His one line was enought to make me cry.

My last gripes concern about the Jutsu names and Opening Themes. They say stuff like Clone Jutsu or Multi-Clone Jutsu. So no Baykugan or Sharingan for you. Also they took out my Wind ending theme.

...Personally, I found it better than my subs for episodes 50-76. Summoning no Jutsu cannot possibly equal 'Psychic Power.' I think they'll keep Sharingan and Byakugan. I mean, they kept Hokage, which that in itself is good enough for me. And they got rid of the Closing Theme, Wind, as well. This will also mean that we won't be getting Viva Rock, Ima Made Nando Mo, and the rest. Unfortunately.

Overall: So to conclude this, I felt that it was a good attempt that could have been made better with a little more polish. With the edits made in the show, my excitement has dulled a little, but from what I saw tonight, I can tell Naruto will be left intact for the most part. Just don't ask me about the Hand-Stabbing, or Haku spewing a waterfall of blood. It's not gonna happen.

They're going to have to do something about that hand-stabbing, I tell ya. It'll probably stay, though. Remember waaay back in DBZ, when Ginyu punched a whole in his own chest? My point exactly. The fountain of blood will probably be replaced be a trickle of blood, which will be very odd in its own right. As for everything else, I am quite pleased by this dub. It pays to be positive sometimes.

I've heard the reason WHY it hasn't been made is because Inafune (the CREATOR :o) thinks that if he made a #9 then he'd be forced to end to the series. Hell, I'd say just start making the games again. It wouldn't have to be the LAST GAME IF HE DIDN'T CONTINUE TO MAKE SPINOFFS THE SERIES (yes, I am talking to you, Battle Network).

'Course, even if he did, he would probably go and start working on the Legends series, since he promised the fans for a #3 a while back. :/

Personally, I think that the Zero series Zero completely pwns teh X series Zero, in every way possible. And all of the characters are just totally awesome. Still, it will never beat my favorite... Whatever that series was.

As for teh exe... I liked the first one, but got bored with the rest.

I still say that an online EXE game would be the coolest thing ever. 3D environment, cell-shaded just like Network Transmission, customizable navis (and poerators, if they're included), and make it RPG based like Seiken Densetsu 3... It would totally rock.

They don't go bad. I found MM3 (and 4!) to be very impressive; in fact, the only classic game I cringe over is #5. X3 was another good game, and it just so happens to be my most favorite of the X games. Now BN3 wasn't bad, it was BN4. BN5 WAS good, it just had the crappy translation and the... ugh, chibi sprites. MMZ3 may not be my most favorite, but MMZ4 completely made up for it with it's complete 1337ness. Kraft is hawt btw. :o

Two of them were really rare too... but what could I do, with my mom threatening to delete everything else that I worked so hard for? *sighs loudly*

i wonder what tohose people get paid for...it's like CAPCOM stops caring for megaman games wen they get translated.

X8 was pretty good though. Only some instances where 'your' should have been 'you're,' and the most noticable was 'Repolids.' More like silly little typos that everyone and there grandma makes, if you ask me. And I really haven't had to complain about the Xero series yet... we'll just have to wait until Z4 comes out though.

realy? they changet his name to heavy metalman?

That's what I heard, anyways. Could be wrong.

urgh, why do they do it anyway? like fireman and clounman, it's not like they have offencive names.

Well, they changed Colorman to Wackoman, so there wouldn't be any form of racism. Not like it wasn't inaccurate though, since he was pretty wacko. Fireman being changed to Torchman... maybe so firemen wouldn't sue? Though they better hope Capcom doesn't decide to make a Torchman.EXE in the future...

Bah, X4. That game is so overrated. The only good Mavericks were Jet Stingray and Magma Dragoon, and Colonel and Iris sucked. Only reason why I replay it is simply for the cutscenes, Double and Sigma. "Tremble with terror, you are finished!"

The bosses in the latest X games have had the most depth, IMO. I mean, you don't know what they used to do, but that's it. They had the most lines EVER in X8, with nine different scenarios, though I do agree on the soundtracks. And BN5 completely owns BN4 every possible way. The only bad thing was the translations and the constant typos. As for the tv show... I don't care, since I've only seen about two episodes. And I don't plan on watching it, since they love to change all of the names. Angry soccer moms, my ass. There is no possible way that they could possibly find Metalman offensive, and force them to make it Heavy Metalman. It's an insult to fans of the games everywhere.

Thank you.

About that megaman stuff, I didn't get half of what you said.
I'm not sure what I've played but I've seen two or three of the games and all the enemies are like shock-man, cactus-man etc.

If you've played only the Battle Network series, then your missing out. It's good, but nothing about it compares to the Classic, X, Zero and DASH/Legends series. If you were to ask me, I'd say they were all ten times better.

Also, what is it that everyone likes so much about megaman to give this posse such a big fan base. And I don't want to hear that you like him cause he has a big laser gun for a hand.

Eh, it's not really much of a laser gun, but whatever. I like him mainly because I like the concept, I like the games, and I think the characters and plots are quite enjoyable. A lot of people say that the new games suck, but I think that they are all pretty good, even some of the crappier ones, like MM5. And, what can I say? A lot of games that I don't know anythig about don't really catch my eye, but when I first saw MM7 at a rental store, I just thought "Wow, that game looks real cool," and so I bought it. Honestly, I could continue explaining, but I will just say that if you have only played Battle Network, you should get a Zero or X game, or even the remakes of DASH when they come out for the PSP... Or even better, get the Anniversary Collection.

And Majin, yes, get X8, damn it.
