3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsThe problem with FPS games and their multiplayer is you feel like you can only play one, especially considering you have situations where having more weapons/perks/whatever unlocked can make quite a bit of difference in how well you do. If you don't play one game exclusively, you end up falling behind the people that have committed themselves to a single game, and have higher ranks, more weapons, and things unlocked because they've been playing longer. It's hard to be the lowly Sergeant trying to take down people who are Generals and Commanders, who have all the weapons and attachments they need while having greater knowledge of the map layouts while you just have the basic M4 and no real other options, and you don't know where all the good ambush sites and usual camper spots are.
I'm personally going with BF3 this time. I've played CoD4, CoD: WaW, MW2, and Black Ops, and I definitely need a long break from the CoD series. To me, the CoD games are not bad at all, I'm just tired of them, and since MW3 and BF3 are being released roughly around at the same time, I'm picking only one, and that's BF3.
Only idiots believe the Civil War was about slavery.
Only idiots believe there weren't any slave owners in the North.
Only idiots believe every person living in the South was a slave owner and supported slavery.
Only idiots believe every slave in America was black.
Only idiots believe every slave owner was white.
Only idiots believe every slave that was owned was abused and mistreated.
Only idiots believe the Confederacy was entirely about slavery and racism.
I swear, the ignorance is appalling.
Needless to say, it's trying to compete with Battlefield 3, right before the holiday season. Man, even it's launch date bleeds unoriginality.
I really don't think I can take any more of this overdone franchise. Trying to play yet another Call of Duty game is like trying to eat a two-ton burrito with a full stomach. Unless I force myself to puke repeatedly, its never going to go down.
The nightmare and drug sequences in Max Payne were pretty grizzly. Hardest part was following the blood trails, but the whole premise of trying to follow them in a maze and jump around in pure darkness where even just slipping just a bit will cause you to fall off and die wasn't easy either.
Saw the trailers and the gameplay video, bottom line, the graphics are orgasmic.
Hoping my computer can handle it on max graphics settings. Right now I'm running an Intel i7-990X 3.46GHZ, Two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 1GB cards, and 12GB DDR3 RAM.
Asking for Pokemon to end is like asking for Mario or Legend of Zelda to end. As long as Nintendo is around, it's always going to be there.
Name one of those games that despite how many hours you chug away at it, you just can't get much better at it despite how much gaming experience you have.
For me, it's Left 4 Dead 2. I have poured loads of hours into that game, and I just can't get any better than possibly completing campaigns on Normal, if I'm lucky. Most of the time when I play with friends, we always have to drop it down to Easy once we hit the finale part.
I have no clue how people can possibly complete this game on Expert without glitching or cheating. Even Easy has loads of difficult moments where you're assaulted by multiple special infected all at the same time. Meanwhile, for some reason, it just feels like the developers love making it harder and harder.
Mastermind t-shirt and a few stickers. That shirt is awesome, great stuff there.
Usually play as characters with my own gender (male), unless forced to play a female, such as in the case of Metroid, Tomb Raider, Perfect Dark, and so on, which only feature female protagonists. As for MMORPGs, I definitely play a male character with those, since people often tend to associate the character you're playing with your real life persona. If they're drastically different, it's going to be a bit awkward.
I once tried playing a female rogue in World of Warcraft as my first character just for a change in face, and totally regretted it once people thought I was actually female in real life. Since then, I've stuck only to male characters.

Ha ha, that's true. I think this would be perfect for that.

Yeah, I miss those. Doing that Prayer collab with you was awesome, I still remember that. They were good because if you didn't have the time and dedication to do entire flashes by yourself, it divided the work up and made it easier, and you got to see the styles of many different artists all come together. Not to mention you didn't need to go plucking around for voice actors or sound effects either. Now, with what most collabs require you to get and prepare, you might as well just go back to making your own flash.
Yeah, I know there's still the audio portal, but you can't really divide up those songs line by line when most of them don't have lyrics. Not to mention those songs are often better used as ambiance or as background music to games.

They were cool when they first started, but year after year, they really begin to wear out their welcome and just seem to be more of the same from what we saw in previous years.
I'm not really looking forward to Madness Day either. Everything Madness-related has been overdone to death at least a thousand times over. There are other popular series out there that should get their own "day" where other people make flashes and games based on the characters and themes of that series, though I wouldn't make each of them have their own annual "holiday" year after year kind of thing, because then you just get tired of them and they lose that novelty.
I sure hope they don't call it the Wii2. I never liked the Wii's name to begin with.
Streets of Rage 2 - S.O.R. Super Mix
Genesis definitely had a load of great games.

Can not fucking wait for BF3. 2012 was good and all but this is truly where its at.
You had people bunny hopping, whoring the grenade launcher, spamming grenades as support and giving themselves ammo to get more, sniper rifles that seemed to work sometimes and did nothing others, half the team camping for vehicles (especially jets), idiot commanders flying planes, and painfully long respawn times (not to mention when you got shot and killed, you had to wait fifteen seconds to be revived each and every time).
Yes, it was a good game, but it still had its issues. With all that aside, I have a feeling BF3 will be better than MW3, however. I honestly don't think I could stomach another Call of Duty game.
Good, I think its awesome they're doing this and every game developer should do it and have a blast screwing people over. The Earthbound one may sound cruel, but it's well-deserved and more games should be doing that kind of thing. Truthfully though, I wish there was an option to set the difficulty level higher with Earthbound, because that game is quite easy.
But yeah, DRM only exists because of pirates, so the excuse of pirating the game to avoid DRM only makes the problem worse and encourages DRM to become stricter and more confining. And if the DRM is that bad for you, then don't play it. There's plenty of other games out there.
So quit bitching and pay like you're supposed to. If everyone did that, we wouldn't be having this problem in the first place.
I'd have to say I liked Fallout 3 a bit better, but NV wasn't bad at all (very glitchy, yes). I would definitely say get Fallout 3: GOTY edition over New Vegas. So far, NV's DLC has been terrible. Dead Money sucked so much ass it swallowed a colon.
Customization (especially character customization), depth and freedom to explore other side-quests or areas besides the main storyline objectives, difficulty that is challenging but not annoying and frustrating, and variety in terms of weaponry, abilities, character builds, and so on.
Yeah, I never finished Metroid Prime either. Decent game, but later on some of the boss fights get pretty ugly.
I agree we need a businessman in office, and someone who can be competent with money and start making serious strides in paying off the national debt. But Trump, I don't think he's the guy we need in office.
Someone does need to end Obama's spending spree, however. The guy has no concept of money whatsoever.
In multiplayer in most FPS games, you can hear the soldiers of other players shout out statements, but you can't hear your own, even though to other people, your soldier character may be saying something.
I never understood why they did it that way.

Call me a dweeb, but I wouldn't. What's done is done, we're doing pretty OK right now. And God knows what would happen in the future after preventing 9/11. It might in turn cause something worse.
If you're trying to troll, you're not doing a great job at it. Preventing 9/11 would have saved lives, how could it have turned into something worse? That doesn't make sense in the slightest.
I find that if you don't do it while you're awake, it happens when you're asleep anyway.
It would be nice if it didn't make such a mess though.
Where the single player campaign seemed to be over before it barely even started, the multiplayer saved it. The point-based currency system is actually well implemented, and its nice to be able to buy the vehicle you want to use rather than have to camp for it.
They really need to add in more weapons and maps though.
Nintendo Cereal. You know, where half the box was based on Mario Bros while the other half was based on Legend of Zelda. That was kickass.
