A game doesn't need it, but it does it give a lot more depth.
I think in the back of everyone's mind, they know this is going on, but they don't want to believe it, or they don't think its going to be a problem in their lifetime.
It's a good video series though, definitely makes a lot of practical points.
Shouldn't have cheated and looked up the solutions on Myst. But, it was still a good game to cruise through anyway.
I also liked the Exmortis series. Quick, but definitely good. 3rd one was obviously the best.
Duke Nukem 3D. Played it so many times, I know everything in that game down to where every enemy is and what can be found where.
Emolga. Gotta say, the 5th gen has been great.
Depends on your style of play, depends on what platform you play games on. Some people just like the faster, more frantic style of CoD, no reason to hate them for it, even if the game is as far away from real war you can get. Honestly, it would suck if there was only one developer of FPS games. I'm just glad there's choices, but there's no need to hope one franchise kills another just because it's not the style you personally prefer.
B/W is the best generation out there. I've been playing Pokemon games since back when I was 17, and I can even say this gives the G/S/C generation a run for its money.
Quit asking and just buy it, you won't regret it.
That was... really lame.
And I was looking forward to seeing something wild and crazy, and there's absolutely nothing.
Advance Wars. And I don't care whether they bring back the characters from Dual Strike or Days of Ruin, both games were awesome.
Also, a sequel to The World Ends With You.
Zero Punctuation is okay, I like AVGN better though. And I've met James Rolfe in real life, he's a pretty cool guy.
I'm getting it, but I'm not sure what game to go for first. I know way more about the system itself than what launch titles are worth looking into.
I'd say it sounds pretty good. Much more interesting than Resident Evil 5.
Definitely liked the character customization, but they really needed more voices to choose from. 3 male and 3 female just didn't feel like nearly enough, and very often you made your character and the only voices you could choose from just really didn't fit them at all.
I found the missions enjoyable, some of them were annoying, but there were a few gems in there that were fun to replay again and again. The demolition derby was also a nice feature, the septic avenger missions were a blast, the Fuzz missions could have been their own game and it still would have been good, and randomly attacking the other gangs was great, and I found it way more comical and hilarious than GTA. The best part of this game was that there was something for everybody, and the amount of variety made the game.
I actually enjoy having kids in CoD, it makes the game that much easier for me to destroy them. And if they're on my side, that's good, gives the enemy another target to shoot at instead of me.
Maybe that will teach them to come back when they're 17 and have manned up a little.
We don't need another Smash Bros game. Three was fine, let it rest.
Tried the multiplayer, wasn't all that impressed with it. I still think Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops are better than this, but it was a noble effort. Maps were too small for the amount of people in them, and there's a very limited number of maps as well. Helicopters and airstrikes were also extremely annoying.
Single player campaign was short but good. Difficulty seemed to be just right, and a few of the missions were decent, like the one where you fly the helicopter. But yeah, it should have been a lot longer, this was probably one of the shortest games I've ever played.
Haven't tried the multiplayer yet.
It's only a month. Man up, grow a pair, and shut up.
Borderlands wasn't a bad game either, albeit it did get a little dry when you got as far as New Haven. Some of the DLC was decent though.
Actually, the 5th generation is alright, at first I thought they were really overdoing it, but the new Pokemon kind of grow on you after a while, and like previous generations, you eventually learn and accept them, even the oddball ones. Every generation has them, and they'll always be there.
The game is still like crack though. Started when I was 17 back with the Blue version and even as I hit 29, I'm still playing it with Black. I figure if it weren't for Pokemon, all I'd be playing is FPS games on the 360 and on the PC.
It's coming out from behind the Rhino's right leg, not from between them.
Some people just think too much with their dick and not enough with their head.
It's a game, who cares?
Zombies don't and never will exist.
Never played much of the Dreamcast, so I can't really say much. I did, however, give FFVIII an honest chance to prove itself, and it disappointing. The Galbadia assault on the Balamb Garden was like the only interesting part, and Irvine was like the only half-decent character. If the game was centered around Laguna, Kiros, and Ward entirely, it would have been a lot better, but instead we're stuck with a cliche cast of characters to have to tolerate through the entire game. Meanwhile, the stock magic layout was the dumbest system I've ever seen in an RPG, and I'm certainly glad no other RPG was ever inspired to try something like that again.
Homefront... Battlefield 3... Modern Warfare 3... Killzone 3...
...just play what you want, stop shoveling what you believe are your omniscient opinions about these games in other people's faces who obviously aren't interested in them, and let there be peace in FPS Land.
And yes, I liked Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Black Ops, mainly because they all have their positives, they can be fun in different ways and different game layouts (yes, even MW2 and Black Ops have significant differences), and personally, I enjoy them. And I'm sure there will be things to enjoy about Homefront, Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Killzone 3, and so on.
I already have the 3DS preordered. I love the DS already, its been a great gaming portable system for years, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the 3DS can do.
A new Advance Wars game on the 3DS would kick ass.
I'm sick of people treating Battlefield 3 like it's the messiah of the FPS genre.
Battlefield 2 was good, but it was definitely not without its own breed of problems.
Madness is old and overdone. Krinkles has seriously milked the series bone dry.
And no, I don't think it would work as an FPS either, of all things. Something like that would probably work better as a tactics-based RPG.
A remake of Final Fantasy 7
A Pokemon MMORPG
And of course, this:
Never played Reach, I got pretty tired of the whole Halo franchise after 3. Once ODST and Halo Wars came around, I left and never came back.
Black Ops is pretty good, not the best FPS game I've ever played, but its a decent one. I agree, CoD: 4 and Battlefield 2 were definitely better though.
It was nice when the bar for Flash wasn't so high, and you could make a funny and casual Flash animation without having to spend so much time and energy into the graphics, frame by frame, and storyline of the Flash.
