I know, right? I wished they would just stayed in Agrestic.
The series feels like it's back on track for season 8! You should try watching it.

I've got Boardwalk Empire to watch now. Also got a few of the newer seasons of South Park.

I'm going to watch it when I get back home from my vacation. Yeah, but I still wish they stayed in Agrestic. It's like a whole diffrent thing. Basically, that is what I hate about some series - they move from their basic location (ofcourse that is good in some series like The Walking Dead).

Broadwalk Empire is good, but I lost track of it. South Park is one of my favorite cartoons (by Simpsons). The series has changed a lot, but it's not bad as many say these days (in my opinion).

Sounds pretty silly to have a law like that... would really the person behind the counter care?

I am pretty sure mostly ARRI, but if you look at the technical page on IMDB, you can see they used Panavision too!

Go search for some behind the scenes photos/videos on Google Images and YouTube. Worth it!

Nothing really happens in the first season. Watch the first couple episodes of the first season maybe.

I'm just powering through Weeds now. I like it. I think I just like any show I watch really, or I get lucky and only try shows I end up liking. I don't know how I'll keep watching it when A Song of Ice and Fire Books 1 - 4 come tomorrow. Damn, I'm excited for that.

I watched Weeds a long time, but then I quit (SPOILER ALERT if you haven't come to season 7) when they moved to Copenhagen because of Esteban and that stuff. But thank you so much for reminding me of that series - I am going on a trip this summer where I am going to sit in a car... good to have something to watch!

Response to: C++ Pawns all other Languages Posted June 20th, 2012 in Programming

At 6/17/12 10:54 AM, everette00 wrote: It is true. I'll give you that because I totally agree. Diablo 3 runs like total crap, but there are games that run way better (resolution in Diablo 3 impacts performance way much more than other games. I can play Torchlight at max settings, resolution and all, but Diablo 3 has to be down as far as possible for anything near playable). But generally speaking, when talking about the speed of a language, we're assuming that the programmer wielding the language is pretty decent. That way, it's all about the language.

Battlefield 3 and Crysis is programmed really well and you can also see the impact from using C++ and having great programmers. Minecraft also lags on some computers that do not lag at Battlefield and Crysis. That is because Java has to go though a virtual machine and C++ don't. Also, it's fair to say Battlefield 3 and Crysis is a huge project and the employ great programmers.

Another example Linux is much faster than Windows because loads of people programmed on the open source project and added better code. That's why I like open source.
