It'll be a long beaten path for gays. The truth is, I don't perceive the majority of people to accept gays for who they are in the next decade. For children, it has been psychologically taught by their parents, religion, and until recently, on TV. I do feel though that the current 5-6 year olds whenever they turn 16 will create a stir. The decaying of the amount of religious people will have the ability for people to be less brainwashed and create their own ideas of what is right and what is wrong, not whether a pope thought it was right. Television in the US has been getting more pro-gay every single year. So, yes, gays will be accepted one day, but not for awhile.

Actually, with the technology we have today it could be quite efficient. Using the internet or telephone to streamline the direct democracy voting process.

since there are so many issues to be aware of, some which are truly pointless, i admit, people just would not be informed enough to make wise decisions.

The government could flag issues that are very important, like buying a fucking 2 Billion dollar submarine called Virginia. There could also be discussions on certain topics, like in forums or other in which distinguished people discuss the topic. You could become one of these distinguished people by actually talking inteligently in a lower forum.

it would take so long to make any kind of decision,

Two to three days max per topic, like an ebay auction!

minority groups rights would be largely ignored or even attacked a lot of the time.

Democracy is what it is. The odds are, the majority will not vote as much as the minorities because the minorities feel they have to unite in order to get what they want. As well, there are many non-KKK people in the world, as well as many who have no prejudices.

Equal Opportunity can be good, as long as it deals with people that couldn't have got a job because of either mental impairment or some other ailment that is unfavorable. For instance, at Wal-Mart just today, they had a person sitting at the entrance saying, i think, "Welcome to wal-mart." I could tell he couldn't have got any other job since his mental capacity was sub-par. As long as they don't mess up your McDonald's orders......

Affirmative Action on the other hand is by far questionable, race has nothing to do with the modern world and jobs don't hire you just because of a certain race,or at least not in my area. They are rather looking for cheap labor that don't complain much.

It's freedom of speech as long as you follow their views. It's like driving on a road, you will get pulled over if you are driving alongside the road, if your not a part of the majority. Why do you think there isn't a lot of muslims in america? Why do you think we have to censor everything on TV? Freedom of Speech as we would've known it as is gone. If we say something against the government, we get slammed by "loyalists" or we get called a socialists. In extreme ideas, possibly jailtime(pure speculation though, so don't quote me). Don't we have people imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay because of their beliefs?

It probably wasn't x, but it was probably a drug. What you could've done is chased them in your car, get slightly behind just enough so your front bumber can get his back side, and just swing the car towards him, causing the dude to spin out. They'd be crapping their pants as well as they will have hit something while spinning out, making the police come. Take that back, not a great idea.

Response to: equal oppurtunity = BULLSHIT! Posted August 10th, 2003 in Politics

Anything based on race should be illegal or looked down upon, this includes affirmative action, equal oppurtunity, and other various things. If I had a white group, lets call it the NAACW group, I would have lawyers up my ass because it is unlawful. I do give a heads up to some equal opportunity employers, though. For instance, i ordered a ham and cheese sandwich at McDonald's once and i asked them not to include the egg. What did I get? A FUCKING EGG SANDWICH WITH NO EGG!

Response to: gay marriage Posted August 7th, 2003 in Politics

Seperation of church and state. One of the first amendments. If a religion accepted gay marriage and performed it, would it be illegal because gay marriages aren't legal? I'll quote from the first amendment, "prohibiting the free exercise [of religion] thereof" Isn't prohibiting gay marriages prohibiting the free exercise of that religion? Whether being gay is natural or not, it is out of the question (but i do feel it is odd that prostate stimulation can only occur anally).

Response to: For the Pro-Lifers... Posted August 7th, 2003 in Politics

Alright, too many pro-life christian people in here(seems odd for saying christians are pro-life, oh well). This is how i view it. If the mother died, the baby would not survive. The baby is a parasite to the mother if I would say. If this mother wants to get rid of this "parasite", rather it be of the same species or not, then she should have the right. Don't like me saying parasite for this? Ask dictionary.com or any dictionary to change their definition.

Parasite - An organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host. (Dictionary.com )

Lets see the criteria of a parasite:
grows because of host: check
feeds from the host: check
sheltered by the host: check

Hmmmm

Let me simply tell you how Japan's economy works. They import raw materials, then they make some goods and then *bam* they have a finished product, ie tanks, airplanes, ammunition. Japan doesn't have a lot of resources. A siege would have defeated them in 2-6 months. But then again, going along with this siege thing, there would have been a lack of food, causing starving of millions of people. Which fate would you rather have, starvation or a split second of absolute pain then nothing.

Once again, I have no feelings one way or another about gays. I just feel the origins of marriage is between a man and a women and that is the part that I am supporting him on. I am not homophobic, I do not hate gays. Hey I even have 3 gay friends. I do feel gays can stay together and make vows of love to each other but not marriage, society as a whole has yet to accept people being gay. But then again, if Bush makes his decisions from primarily catholic beliefs and not whether the society would allow such a thing, then Bush shall be punished for discrimination.

True, just like what happened last election, Gore got more votes but still Bush won because of the electoral college. I feel the electoral college should just be dropped because we no longer associate ourselves with the states unlike we did in the 1770's.

Response to: Portal View Format Change Posted July 31st, 2003 in NG News

Did you guys like my idea for a side menu bar that can be minimized so that you can view the entire movie if the frame is not big enough? As well as this, you'd have a "Load It" for it to load in the center frame. This would be so if you clicked on the wrong link it won't waste NG's bandwith because it doesn't load the movie right away.

Plz give me some opinions on this, if you like or not.

Response to: Portal View Format Change Posted July 30th, 2003 in NG News

Wait i have a very cool idea for the layout. Have the navigation on the left as well as the artists information. This bar on the left can be expanded in and out, leaving more room for bigger movies. As well as this, you can have it so it doesn't load the movie until a person clicks on a "Load It" icon from the left side if the person does want to view the movie, leaving out the bandwith problem having it in frames would create.

Response to: Portal View Format Change Posted July 30th, 2003 in NG News

I'd like the old style a whole lot better. I remember ever since you used to put the flash movies on manually on the portal. Anyways, i found a cheaper bandwith provider than the one you might have now unless you have it already. Its Cogent and you can get it at www.cogentco.com . $1,000 a month for 100 Mbps and $10,000 for 1,000 Mbps.

I'm not trying to spam, i'm trying to help the site out by letting it save money. At this place, its $10 a megabit, compared to $100 a megabit from people like Verizon and stuff.

They try to fuck it all up. I had no problem with gays until a gay dude grabbed my ass, now i hate the outgoing gay dudes with a passion. I have no problem with guys that act like heterosexuals until it comes to sex. The only problem i have about outgoing gay guys is they might slip a date drug in my drink and umm... stick something in the "Wrong Way" hole.

As you can see, he puts a resource in his view because others need to see it to get his point of view.

Here's stupid

As you can clearly see, no sources, only just opinions. As well as no sources, he backs his "All men are scum" with only one sentence WITHOUT a source. Also, he probably only read the first post, which would make his IQ drop from 90 to below Forest Gump's IQ.

Back to the subject, I'm supporting Commander. No rape victim brags about getting raped. I'm speculating that she did not get raped, but instead had consentual sex. She then bragged but later her friends probably(still speculating) told her that she can file a rape charge against Kobe and get at least a million dollars by settling out of court.

Response to: What to do for Homeless? Posted July 30th, 2003 in Politics

K, K, here is an idea about what to do about the homeless.

Get them together in a big cluster and drop a bomb on them. J/K man, don't go crazy.

Really though, i believe the government should get them to work for them. The job should be to get a network of windmills across the plane to split water molecules, yes in other words hydrogen power. As well as this, they should have pipelines bringing this hydrogen to a central power making facility, reducing costs of making hydrogen power. This will also reduce the need for Nuclear energy and oil. Anyways, the oil is going to run out in my lifetime, so I don't want to be royally fucked when this happens. So plz Bush or Hillary Clinton (put side note #1 here) , do this!

Side Note # 1: Since the odds of green party getting into office is slim, I'm hoping she(hillary) gets into office, but I'm still voting Green

Response to: Bush in General... Posted July 30th, 2003 in Politics

I don't hate Bush, but i dislike his opinions in some minor(or major) things like going to war. Overall, he hasn't been that bad(lets see how quickly that gets bashed). One thing that i do support is his view on gay marriage. Yes i know the economy has gone down the shitter, but it would've happened under Gore as well, 9-11 dropped the stock markets down more than 2000. The Enron scandal has put distrust in large corporations, and put further distrust into the economy. Republicans support large corporations more than small businesses as well. So basically its a coincidence that Bush is in office while all of these things are occuring
