Unscouted? Posted October 14th, 2009 in Art

What's the deal with this? I remember being scouted some time back (A name related to "air" or something similar) and when I logged on one day, I noticed that I was unscouted. I posted a journal inquiring as to why that happened, and how I can revert to my prior status.

That was 5 months ago, what happened? (FYI: I am still unscouted)

You missed the catchphrase "Tits or GTFO".

Well, you know how they are - they post a photoshopped picture of a weightlifter and stick their' face on it, and occasionally say "Ni**a" twice in at least every sentence.

I meant to say "lvoe" - sorry for the typo.

Also, when will the review section for art will be put into place?

Sorry, I do not know what "lveo" is in your language. Please stay on topic.

Spammers, trolls and the gangsta wannabe's (often pouring out profanities back to the people who disagree) - NewGrounds has them all. Only problem is that we have been raided today by a series of shitstorms.

Now, we all know how to make sure that we avoid such confrontations - but what happens when you get picked, out of the blue, and then spammed?
I say sit still and keep quiet (well, ignore the spammer - but notify a mod) - don't do the same mistake I have done (sure I got the lulz from their' fail trolling), but your PM box is so-big and your news posts aren't exactly thread happy.

What I'm getting at is how NG could benefit from some new additions to the system, such being a "report abusive post" for the news posts and the posts replying to the news post. While we're here, how about discussing things that NG needs:
Things such as "News Post" moderators - to take care of the majority of spamfags that clutter up our journals.

I have seen some sights today.

Well, I pressed ban - and all it does is that it bans the user from commenting on my stuff.

That boom is a cool idea though :>

I would imagine it's only a matter of time before Art reviews are eventually listed in the user profiles. I suppose you could keep track of the manually if you really wanted, but I'd just sit tight for a while longer and see what happens.

Thoughts?
I agree. Seeing's how there are both Flash and Audio reviews, adding Art reviews as a profile stat would only make sense.

Yes, I find it exeedingly frustrating that I write up a decent review on a particular piece of art, and having to web trawl all of the latest submissions just to review my review.

I know how to block/ban him etc, but how do I report him? He has been spamming other accounts too.

Okay then, here's a sample picture of the art in question (sorry about that).

Oh, and I will upload "proper" pixel art if that's what you want ;P

Allright.. Nope.. You are isnt pixel art. It is line tool art.. 0 is harsh.. But it's not worth more than 4-5 anyways.

True, I did use the line tool for certain spots - but the more detailed parts (like the hand and face, guns and embroidery) is per-pixel art.

Isn't the majority of pixel art use the line tool? You know, just saying.

Ah, well - the Art Forum Lounge is full of random stuff. I'd like to create an organized discussion - plus the fact that the general sub-forum is not meant for art (hence the art sub-forum).

Also, I have provided a link to the actual art piece - isn't that enough?

Title pun aside, I have recently gotten a zero score (courtesy, a noob) on a particular piece of pixel art - and he claims that it's not.

Pixel art - I know the definition, but what do you consider pixel art?
(And for anyone who wants to check out where that particular noob posted a craptastic review, you can check it out here: http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/rambo fox/posed)

What's even more epic is that the moderators may choose to BURN everyone who contributed to this.
