Sometimes I feel the same way. I think back to my pre-drug and alcohol days and wonder how the hell I kept entertained.

Now that I'm 21, boredom leads to alcohol, and that leads to fun. It's sad that my solution to boredom is almost always beer.

Yeah, I hated health courses for a long time.

Ecstasy burning holes in your brain, getting addicted to meth after one use, psychadelics causing you to jump out windows, etc. I remember as a kid I was scared to death of illegal drugs... which was for the best, of course.

Well, that's your problem right there. Get some friends that are actually friends... not people who mooch off you or whatever.

I actually hated the friends I had in high school. It wasn't until after graduation that I got friends I could actually relate to, and not want to punch in the face every day (one of my "friends" in high school hated me so much that he cried... it was hard not to laugh, lol).

Also, what the fuck? Judging from your post you think "a few hours" is a long time without water. Did you cry away all your water weight?

Yeah, smoking while driving is no big. Hell, the first time I got super baked was in a car, and the majority of my smoking sessions from that point forward was in a car as well. I have fond memories of hot-boxing cars with my friends... nearly two years worth.

It also helped me be a better driver, more alert and shit. Plus my friends and I can drive pretty damn well from the passenger seat while the driver takes a toke... in one case, I pulled a U-turn in my friend's Honda Fit while he was hitting the bong.

I'm honestly surprised how few people truly care about seeing you smoke in a car. We only got rolled once and that's because we were parked in an abandoned parking lot.

Anyway, might be hitting the weed again, not sure. My friend apparently found some 6 month old weed in his room that he's saving for next weekend. Probably dry and useless but it'll be an experience.

Pretty good - much better than MW2 imo.

The exploiters sort of ruin it, but I've got friends to play with so we don't cheat. Gets kind of boring and repetitive after a while and apparently the DLC is more of the same but, eh, overall a pretty damn good game. Nothing spectacular (like CoD4 when it first came out), but not as bad as you make it out to be.

Topic: Psytrance metal bands?

Posted: 11/24/09 11:51 PM

Psytrance metal doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure Infected is just classified as psytrance, but yeah... they do have a pretty unique sound. Heavyweight is one of my favorites.

Astrix is the closest thing that comes to Infected that I can think of, but as far as I know they don't play a live set (just a DJ set). So basically no instruments, just turntables.

I post this in practically every thread about trance but I was fortunate enough to see their live set a few months ago. Actually they were at a rave I was at a year ago but I didn't bother... the venue was cramped and stuffy and I went to see some other DJs instead. This time around it was outside and much more enjoyable, and they were the most amazing DJs I've seen to date. Maybe it was the fact that they played instruments, or that I had just taken an incredibly potent ecstasy pill an hour before. Whatever the case... fucking awesome.

Anyways yeah - try Astrix, and maybe Dino Psarus, but they're more psytrance without instruments.

Probably when and if a better MMORPG comes out. I remember when WoW first released and I was playing FFXI, and literally 50% of the players on my server disappeared, presumably to play WoW instead.

So long as they keep ahead of the competition it'll still be around for a long time to come. Plus, even if they lose a good portion of their members, just look at games like Starcraft, D2, Warcraft 3... scores of people still play them.

It will never die.

Topic: Borderlands or Fallout 3 for the PC

Posted: 11/22/09 09:23 PM

Forum: Video Games

Fallout 3 for the single player experience, Borderlands if you're more of a grinding/co-op kinda guy.

Borderlands also has the worst storyline in video game history, whereas Fallout's is mediocre (maybe I was just spoiled by Fallout 1, which had a far superior story to 2 and 3 [fuck the GECK]).

Both are pretty damn easy in terms of gameplay, even if you notch up the difficulty to max in FO3. However, in Fallout 3 when you die you restart at your last save point, whereas Borderlands shoots you back to an autosave with the enemies usually at the same health as they were before. Only thing you lose is some money which is so ridiculously easy to obtain anyways.

Also, tons of exploiters in Borderlands, which ruins the game IMO. Reminds me of Diablo 1 with so many ridiculous dupe glitches, overpowered weapons, characters way beyond the level cap, etc.

Plus, Fallout 3 PC has the GECK (not the actual one in the story) which lets you edit levels, guns, etc.

I love both but I'd go with Fallout 3.

Seen 2/3 of those DJs. Cosmic Gate would've been great had I not been squished in between fat people in 90 degree weather, but thankfully Infected was at 3 AM or so. It wasn't their DJ set either, it was their live set, so they were playing actual instruments which was cool.

Going to a rave on Dec. 5th and Andy Moor is headlining. Not a huge name and he's a little bit too "girl trance" for my liking, but I did see Armin Van Buuren (voted #1 DJ, even above Tiesto) for 9 hours and he was amazing. They have a somewhat similar sound so I'm hoping for the best.

Lately it's been little birds.

I don't know why. Every time one of those fuckers flies past my head I almost have a heart attack, with their stupid little beaks and shit. A couple of weeks ago one got stuck in a shed in my backyard and I had to get it out (it was too retarded to fly out the OPEN door, it had to keep headbutting the window) and it was just creepy.

Mediocre as in falling asleep on my couch and waking up ten minutes later to see he's still trying to do the same thing.

Mediocre as in boring

Exactly.

Also, GSP isn't the best p4p at GNP. If he was, Alvez would've been KOed, BJ would've been dead (instead of just quitting), and all his other boring ass fights wouldn't have gone to decision. He's good at the sport, yeah, but in the end he's incredibly boring to watch.

Topic: UFC is so overrated

Posted: 11/19/09 09:41 PM

I agree that most UFC fights are incredibly dull to watch. Typical fighters go out there to win, not to please the crowd, so they end up laying on their opponent or act overly cautious which results in a boring fight. Case in point: GSP. As soon as he got KOed by Matt Serra, he stopped taking risks. His fights now consist of him tackling a dude, mediocre ground and pound, rinse and repeat.

I'm starting to like Japanese fights more. Of course these fights are sketchy as hell, with no drug tests and fixed fights -- but hell, if WWE entertained me as a kid, I couldn't give a fuck if matches are set up.

WEC is good too, which is owned by UFC. Maybe because it's lower weight classes and the guys aren't as afraid of being knocked out, I don't know. But I'd much rather watch Faber fight a dude like a maniac over Randy Couture hugging some guy for 3 rounds.

Anyway, I won't be watching UFC for a while, I don't think. All their interesting fighters are hurt or sick so the cards are even more horrendous than usual.

Getting kind of pissed at the Xbox 360 glitches now. I was fortunate enough to play through the majority of the game with friends, encountering only a few minor glitches (such as falling through a wall), but today we had an open game and two completely random people joined, both glitching.

One was a level 90 Siren, one was a hunter that could shoot up to like 20 bloodwings at once. The latter wasn't a big deal, it actually looked pretty cool, but the Siren had the nerve to message my friend once he got kicked, complaining how being kicked would mess up his level 90 character.

... As if we cared.
