I guess I know what I'm not buying come 2010, tell ya' what.
I won't be too immature about this though, I've never read the series or even seen the movie, but from what I know about the plot and the general conversion of "books turned into movies turned into video games" (Jumper: Griffin's Story, anyone?), I have a good feeling that playing as Mr. So Sexy and fighting vampires about equal to you and running around doing timed missions for your girlfriend who's magic bitchiness was implemented to give the player challenge in the form of running from Point A to Point B collecting mystical letters and hearts that relate to your past and unlock magic spells won't be as enjoyable as it sounds.
And there are actually people who said there should be a "Wii Twilight Baseball game". I'd even give that more credit than a full blown MMO.
Twenty bucks says there will be a sequel to it if it goes console instead.
So what is going on in this club? No more storytelling or fan fiction, writings? Been awhile since I last looked over this place. Anything left to be active for?
Personally, I never got what XP meant.
A variation of " :p "? It looks stupid.

That's nice.
I love how the 09ers don't get it and are taking it literally.
I remember this, I remember this very well. And Reo, you have some gosh darn' good explaining to do.
This....this is an endless dream. This is brilliant, my earliest days here marked in stone. Thank you.
Shut up Peacekid...
Lol I still remember that. No offense man.
I would bring lesbian superheroes.

Or rather, if you kept it inside water beforehand, where the oxygen molecules still exist, could that still cause rusting?

Its the weirdest thing, I just thought of this question and compared what little I know of metals and how they rust, it just seems like due to the lack of oxygen in space a process (drying/moisture?) in rusting is removed, but I'm no B+ science student in the first place.
Can it?
Of course, rather than suffer criticism, do what I and many others who got infuriated with the obliviousness and backlash of this did in 2007-8. LEAVE THE FREAKING PLACE. If you're disappointed with this place's quota/standards, then avoid it. Believe me, you'll forget it more and more and your life just becomes a lot less...weighted. Leave the pigs to slosh and the dogs to bark, I say.
You know, at first, when I saw you complaining about Hentai being the #1 reason why this place is dying, I thought you were a troll. There are a LOT of other ways this place is dying, has come close to dying, CAN die, and inevitably WILL die in a matter of years. But I see you're just uninformed...
You see, Newgrounds goes through this every year and then. Its a bit of a "hibernation period" you see. To be honest, there was a period where Tom was just a stupid tween/teen like man of us, like many of you, and he was a normal user like us, like you. But then he got a life, a job promoting and advertising, working on games, got a girlfriend named April, had kids (so I've heard, never really checked up on that due to my long absence from this place), and essentially became one with the Behemoth.
Sooner or later, they'll be either a user or a moderator who actually comes through with their promise and does something epic that'll get everybody comin' back, and great flashes like Xin and Madness and Paladin and all kinds of arguable greatness will flow in. A new dawn of epic flashery will emerge, and then in the next four years we'll be back here in this very same situation.
The worst it can get is that the staff fakes another "glitch" like they used to do or "discovers" that the site has crashed or something along the lines of catastrophe, thus urging us all. Though I'm betting there'll be another "MS PAINT BRAWL" or "KITTYKREW RAID" that'll probably urge back some hundred people.
Prototype vs inFAMOUS
So, I just had this argument with a guy on Youtube who actually knows what he's talking about. Frankly, I'm stunned, he really went all out making this up and I actually think I've lost, but I want to know what anyone who has played both games thinks about this. Is he right?

There's a sequel to Prototype on the way also. People are talking about Alex getting like a LOT more powerful in the sequel. I heard the villain will be Pariah. We all saw how powerful Alex got after just 3 weeks, now let's wait and see how he is in the sequel. Plus his comic books.
You can't say anything that shows that Cole is more powerful in cutscenes like everyone knows Alex is.
Alex has a comic book also, and I've heard the infamous comic book is pretty boring compared to Prototype's. So Alex will also grow MORE powerful too, and right now he's a lot farther than any hero I've seen after only 3 weeks. So imagine after a couple years? He'll be able to kick Superman's ass. As of now, Cole can't take on the enemy's Alex does. He might in time, but right now he's limited to drug dealers that wear stupid clothes.
Alex's durability makes it pretty damn hard for Cole to hurt him. And we all know that Alex could hurt Cole. In fact, one strong hit would kill him. Alex can punch a person hard enough that they split in half. That's in Muscle mass, but even a light hit while not in Muscle mass kills people. Alex could easily carry on a battle with Cole, the enemy's he beat in the game were capable of inflicting more damage than Alex could. Just look at the Supreme Hunter, and Mother. But Alex decapitated the supreme hunter, and killed Mother, then consumed Elizabeth Greene, killing her, and adding to Alex's power. Actually, Alex killed the Supreme Hunter twice in the game, but he stepped on the puddle he reduced it to the first time they fought, which brought it back, and gave it Alex's assimilation abilities.
They do a bunch of broadcasts about Cole on those TV's throughout the game, so Alex wouldn't have that much trouble finding him. He'd know what he looks like, and I've heard Alex has a natural ability to track anyone he wants.
I never said he could find out everything about Cole's powers, he could just find information about Cole, they are also bound to know something about his powers. And if Cole doesn't know about his powers, then he is seriously not a match for Alex at all.
Mother was very resistant to damage, and was probably not terribly weakened by Bloodtox. Missiles and pretty much every other weapon the military had didn't really affect it much, Alex was the only one who could really hurt it. Every time Alex sent it back underground, it came back stronger, and more resistant to damage. Mother was not something that was just some big wimp that couldn't take any damage, you needed to think about what you were going to do so that it didn't kill you. Cole couldn't kill Mother. He wouldn't be fast enough to avoid the wave that it does, which would kill Cole.
Cole can be killed by ordinary bullets, Alex takes Anti-Tank Firepower like it's a small inconvenience. Cole doesn't have the durability Alex has, there's nothing he could do if the military and a group of hunters swarmed him, which is something that happens to Alex every day. If Cole was able to fight the enemies Alex does, I don't see why he doesn't in the game. He is no where near as powerful or durable as Alex.
No, Cross did not have that kind of Armor. That was never mentioned in the game, and they don't have it on prototype.wikia.org. They just didn't let you consume him, because that would ruin the story. Alex is indestructible, that fight was before Alex consumed Greene, so he got more powerful when he did that. It is not known that Electricity can hurt Alex, you can't say that it can. Because he got increasingly more powerful towards the end of the game.
Look at it this way, Alex has to fight the military while in a Bloodtox factory at one point of the game. There is about 9 vents that are pumping it into the air, that's supposed to kill Alex, and while in game it eventually will. Take away the die, and retry that happens, and it's apparent that Alex only has one chance to beat the military, and destroy the Bloodtox vents. So it really doesn't hurt him. Also the Alex in the cutscenes took a nuke, you know that. Do you think that the Alex that took the nuke would be hurt by Bloodtox? No, that just goes to show that Alex is a lot less durable in game. It's like in Superman games, he's less durable in his games, he gets hurt by bullets. And in Spiderman games, it takes a lot of bullets to kill him. See? They have to make Superman LESS durable, and make Spiderman more durable so the game isn't frustrating or boring. They did to Alex what they did to Superman.
I never said Alex was as powerful as either Hulk or Superman. I said he eventually will be. Hold on, you're saying tanks would stun Alex, while Cole enveloped him in an Electric Blast? How is it fair that Cole can have tank firepower, plus his own power? It's not. Alex gets hit by tank missiles, and much more powerful missiles all the time. It makes him fall, but he gets up really quickly. Alex has had to fight the military, as well as other opponents at the same time. He had to deal with them both times he fought the Supreme Hunter, and when he fought Mother. Nothing Cole can do to Alex would kill him. Alex is extremely fast and could avoid any attacks Cole tried to do, anything Cole would do wouldn't stop him, and Alex would eventually reach Cole, then it's game over. If Cole uses enough electricity, he has to charge himself. Do you think Alex would let Cole do that? No. Not a chance. Doing that would get him killed. And he eventually would have to, or face being decimated by Alex. Which would also happen if he charged himself. Alex has regeneration, and consuming people and whatever he wants to consume speeds his regeneration up. He is able to consume Hunters, Super soldiers (I've done it in the game, it was a stealth consume, which is strange, you think if Cross had armor that couldn't be consumed, then shouldn't the super soldiers? But cross didn't have that type of armor.) And pretty much every other living thing. So no matter what Cole did, it wouldn't stop Alex.
They tried injecting him with a weaponized Cancer, it was supposed to kill Alex. But Alex killed the cancer. How do you know Alex isn't resistant to electricity? He became immune to Bloodtox, and the weaponized Cancer that was in his system was specifically designed to kill him. Alex had to deal with Bloodtox on like 3 occasions, and it wasn't very long that he had to deal with them. So he can become immune to them extremely fast, and I don't see why electricity is any different. We haven't seen how it effects him after he consumed Greene, and until we do you can't say it's a weakness.
I would comment further, but sorry I have to go. I'll be back though.

I already have it. Without going into another story, I can never ever seem to get Adobe Flash to install on it without some whallop of issues (and it never works anyway), which leaves me stuck with IE for now.
Have you ever tried taking a picture off of a Youtube or uploaded video, you know by pressing the PR/Screen button or whatever you have on your keyboard that allows you to save images from any source? Its how people like me get certain images when GoogleImages doesn't have them.
Well, I happened to do this after installing IE8, and now because of some updated nonsense, I constntly get the "The information on the Clipboard can't be inserted into paint" error message, even though I have easily done this before with IE7 and earlier versions by simply pressing the button on the web page I sought to copy and then CTRL+V'd it onto Paint.
Does anyone know a way around this?
So, I just started playing inFAMOUS and I heard the story is engaging and the gameplay keeps you interested (unlike that other open world superhero game that takes "cues" from Hulk, GTA, and Spiderman *cough cough*).
I was wondering, is it better to play good or evil?
I know that on evil pedestrians throw rocks at you and the city inevitably hates you.
I know that on good they love you and you get adored and the city will probably look better as you go.
By my philosphy on games is that the developer GENERALLY plans for the "GOOD ENDING" to be the one that contains more of the engaging storyline and is the one that the sequel will follow. Therefore, you want to play good, get the story, and then enjoy the luxury of not having to make moral choices second time through.
However, in inFAMOUS this is different.
The story seems like it could either way. If I play evil, the story could be EXACTLY the same with MORE main character death and I might get accustomed to killing which might make playing GOOD on the my second run more difficult and challenging (which is good.) However, I fear that one way or another I'm going to lose the narrative playing as one side and not the other.
I'm paradoxed here because of games like this in the past, like Overlord, where they say either be evil or REALLY EVIL, or like in games where there is a GOOD or BAD ending. They say you CAN be evil, or REALLY BAD, but in the end you just aren't evil enough, or you just aren't "good" enough, like inPrototype, you STILL end up killing a LOT of MILITARY SOLDIERS and killing a LOT of other people, whether you decided to help the military (by not mindlessly slaughtering them when not required) or just kill as much as possible.
Just out of curiosity, to anyone who's played it, which side did you play first and if so, did you enjoy it more and why?

+1 posting. What the -bleep-, mods?
Also, in no way or in what way is it Mirror's Edge? I mean, Parkour, but the styles are entirely different. And Alex Mercer is more about brutal force, not about careful navigation.
What your thinking is Spider Man 3 The Game + GTA + Hulk: Ultimate Destruction + Hulk 2008 Game = Prototype.
So I'm a cheap bastard wh orefuses to bend over to Nomura's wishes of forcing me to buy an entirely new gaming system/console to get 90 minutes of new background information that could be easily compiled into a three-disc PS2 collection game rather than be put on PSP, Nintendo DS, or Mobile phones and I was wondering, since the American release will not be featured on Youtube for a while...
Does anyone understand what "358/2 Days" means?
I keep hearing the same BS from hard-up fans that if you played KH2 you should get it, however, Tetsuya also mentioned that you won't understand it fully until you have reached the END of Three-Five-Eight over Two Days, which I never will because I'm not remastering my playing preference like I did for half of CoM just to get this game.

And I'm doing a top 5. I'm not stealing, I swear. This is my original idea. Knuxrouge and Firefoxrocks stole it from me. I THOUGHT OF IT.
Well, no one here even remembers me and I don't remember you either, so all patents on the idea are no-holds barred for me.
5. Sonic Unleashed. Now, I know what your thinking, but let's face it. It has some of the BEST LOOKING fast-moving Sonic gameplay yet. Even if the game is focused more on being a retarded werewolf, SEGA has given me a taste of what a Next-gen Sonic should really look like through the Day levels of this game. And the song "Endless Possibilities" has been stuck in my mind for awhile, probably my 3rd favorite 3D Sonic game song.
4. Sonic The Hedgehog 3. This was the last of the "classic" Sonics my brother had that I played. I enjoy the music from Iceopolis the most, and the level designs are beautiful. I don't really think I need to elaborate on how amazing this game truly is and was.
3. Sonic The Hedgehog 2. It was the first Sonic game I ever played, with my brother. Its kind of funny because he used to make me play as Tails and I would fight to keep up with Sonic all the time. I remembered wanting to get the "Super Tails" powerup or the "Speed Shoes" powerup (never realized I couldn't of course) and race him when after he got all 7 chaos emeralds. Its got some childhood memories behind it back on the old SEGA Genesis.
2. Sonic Adventure 2. RUNNIN' AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND!!! Ha-ha! This game has some childhood memories too, you know. It was of course my SECOND 3-D Sonic game and I had the SA2: Battle version for Gamecube with slightly improved bugs. I loved just about every song for every one of Sonic's stages that had words to it, and the Missile Launch base where he rides on the rocket was oodles of fun. And let's not forget the last two levels which were just epic. It took me FOREVER to beat the Biolizard, so much that I nearly cried until I looked up how to beat his third attack phase online. Then I managed to beat the "Perfect Form" on my first try, without getting hit once. Then I danced in my room and proudly sang the lyrics of the ending song "Live and Learn". That was a good day for me.
1. Sonic Adventure DX (I just happened to be a late generation fan.). E-102 Gamma, Amy Rose, Knuckles. All of those interesting, diverging story modes. The intro. The speed. The level deisng. Oh my god, I can't describe how many amazing things I first experienced with this game. I never beat the DX one I had because I never bought it, I only had it as a rental. But I fell in love with the Casino stage: For those who have gotten thus far, the NiGHTS reference is priceless when you actually GO INTO Nightopia and Sonic flies past Nights. OPEN YOUR HEAAART!!!
A touching story.
Thumbs up for you, your brother, and your friends man. My congrats go to all of you.
You know, I hate to sound like the immature weasel in this, but I'm intrigued and I hope it tempts others.
Where are Tom and Wade on this? Or are there lives over Newgrounds Offices too busy to deal with "customer services" anymore?
You know when I think about it, the funny thing is that apart from me moving my life away from this site, and even during the time I've been here, I don't get banned a lot. Honestly, the mods don't seem that harsh, not like I remember at least. I see a thread titled "negros get out" and bam its gone the next time I open the page. I see "catholics fuck off" and wham, the thread starter is deleted for posting "hate dem jews". Of course, there's obviously been a LOT of new mods coming in and out since I was last a regular here, what with BB and Maus gone and probably a few couple of others I forgot about too.
The real problem would be like what you said, getting a mod for every time zone in case of spam.
Well, the Gravity Gun, Portal Gun, Big Fuckin' Gun, and Solar Gun from Half-Life, Portal, Doom, and MGS4 are all some of the best examples.
Geez, I always forget we have one now. Erm...mods...if you please?
HOO-YEAH!
The first actual storyline trailer.
Like it, hate it. I absolutely love this game. Fun, violent, sexy. Engaging, gutbusting, and utterly destructive. That's how all video games made by Suda51 should be. And the sequel is looking like all those things wrapped in a moist towelette.
Only thing that's urking me is that when Travis cuts his enemies towards the end, there doesn't appear to be any blood, I'm guessing that this is just because its beta footage or perhaps a part of the the "tougher = fatter enemies" stereotype .
