I am eagerly anticipating the critique from the judges. Is it weird that the suspense that I'm feeling is still being ratcheted upwards? Is this what all contestants feel waiting for the results in every contest?

Hokum and crow, man! Forget the reviews! Get safe!
Woot! I moved up from where I was in VAC 8! Improvement!
Eeek! The anticipation is palpable!

That's the sound my nerves are making. The anticipation is like a crescendo of cymbals in my head.

I worked at Six Flags once.
I once looked into the eyes of somebody who was working the rides at a Six Flags theme park. It filled me with this deep, existential dread. This was a man who had stared into the abyss for too long. His eyes met mine, and I saw nothing behind them. He seemed to look through me, and it was like hearing a far away scream at night and worrying that you were walking towards it instead of away.
I do hope that you made it out with your sanity.

Jeez! Sounds like they were running some kind of fly-by-night scam. I almost worked for a guy who would move to a different building whenever his sales reps would try to pick up their paychecks. I say almost, because I noticed that his company's logo was a snake oil salesman (which was the frontier con man), and that the sign declaring what company occupied the building was taped to the door. I said no to his job offer, and found out later that it was a good decision.

Sounds like that was two bad "jobs" at the same time! Double Entendre Joke!

The wife really disliked me for some reason. One day she made me clean the maggot-ridden dumpster with no gloves or tools. She was a very unlikable human. All of the employees hated her and I found out the husband divorced her.
Could've reported them I guess but being in Junior High I just quit... Then told my dad who promptly drove up there and confronted her.
That's revolting! But, it could've been worse. She could've told you, "Any pizza you find in there, you can keep."
Quiz time!
Totally related to the topic: What's the worst job you've ever held?
I'll start off with one that may be comparatively tame.
One summer I was hired through a temp agency to go work at a paperboard box making factory. One of their rooftop hoppers which they used to vacuum scrap paper from around the factory had sprung a leak, and paper was filling the field around the building. The Environmental Protection Agency was fining them and making them clean up the mess. My job was this: I had to walk around on the roof for eight hours a day in Texas in July, cleaning up all of the scrap paper that had gotten between the rocks on the roof. Clearly this had been going on for some time, as some of the pieces of paper were baked onto the surface of the roof. I could empathize with those pieces of paper. Worst sunburn of my life!
Now... you go!

So don't worry, it will change!
The Audio player is playing the updated version, now. So, you were right, Ultraconsole. My worrying was for naught. And now, I shall wipe my brow in relief... Ahhh...
I've been trying to update my entry, but the NG Audio Player keeps on playing back the original version, not the updated version. I uploaded the new version on the Projects page, I published the changes, and the file info on the Audio's page even shows how long the new version is, but it just isn't playing the new and improved model. It's maddening, I tells ya! Maddening!

Yesss... all I must do is follow JashinYa's suggestions, and next time, I will see my name at the top of the ladder. My ingenious plan is coming to fruition! Muhahaha!
