People, I don't think it's a photoshop. Look at the picture of the PSP in the frying pan. It looks like it has been severely damaged (See the huge dent in the face of it? I bet the screen doesn't work after that).
What better way to get rid of a broken PSP by making it in to an omelette and actually selling it, huh?

You COULD, but because the monitors are different sizes, it's not really possible. The larger monitor has much more of the screen (Basically, it's just the two put together, read my previous posts)
At 10/18/06 10:35 PM, Gnarly wrote: How does your mouse work, can you just scroll from screen to screen or what?
That's exactly how it works. Off one screen, on to the other. If you drag a window halfway across, you see half of the window on each screen ;)

That ... would be so ... fucking cool
It's cool enough with the [relatively] small addition. Having another LARGE monitor would be orgasmic.

Yes, you can. I have a rather huge old CRT monitor (I think it has a res of 1600 x 1200). I could use it, but it's simply too massive to do so =)

Nice monitors and is that program Reason you are using?
It's actually FL Studio, but I do indeed use reason as well. (One on one monitor, one on the other)

Another user expressed the same concern, but rest assured that the monitor is indeed in a stable position
Half of these comments and questions would have been asnwered if people read the whole thread, but I guess that could be a little time consuming =]
Well, you're not the only one that noticed. It's official!. My recent thread totally got plagued by them.
One said to stop sucking up to me because I was a mod. Since when do people suck up to review/audio mods on the BBS?
At 10/18/06 06:58 PM, CementSocks wrote: Is that FLstudio you have open in the background?
What else?
(By the way, having FL studio on one monitor linked to Reason on the other is quite awesome)

It may not look like it in the picture, but that second monitor is quite steady. I can give it a good smack and it won't budge (it's quite heavy for its size) and the speaker is pretty deep. I'm not worried about it at all =)

Yea, I knew that your 24' and other moniter would have a bigger resolution.
But, I can do things like this and have it mostly not anoying. Although, the crosshair for CS:S is on the line making it damn near imposable to play.
But still, I can!
You can solve that problem by getting a 30" monitor if you have thousands of dollars burning a hole in your pocket...

I was actually wondering what tools there are that would allow me to do those things. Many, many thanks for the reference. It'll come in handy for sure when I get my second 24" baby =)

^17 inch 19 inch^
My 24" monitor alone almost has as much space as your two monitors =p
1280*1024 + 1280*1024 = 1310720 + 1310720 = 2621440 pixels
1920*1200 + 1024*768 = 2304000 + 786432 = 3090432 pixels
So!
Mine > Yours. Pretty close, though, and your setup IS nice in the fact that both monitors are the same size. =]
At 10/18/06 06:06 PM, andymc1989 wrote: Do you just move the mouse up to that monitor?
That's basically how it works. The monitor on the left is literally an extension of the bigger one. When I move my mouse up to the top left corner, my cursor just continues in to the next monitor. This is the same with dragging windows, etc. The picture below shows it.

Actually, the largest part of my money is saved for my college.
I am majoring in Digital Art and Music Technology, both of which require a good machine and plenty of workspace. I can't tell you how much of a godsend this setup is when I have some work to do.
At 10/18/06 05:57 PM, Black-Flame wrote: Thats pretty cool!
Dont bother getting another bigger screen because yu wont have enough space for it.
Actually I did the measurements and my desk is big enough. But God.. ! I can't wait until I have two big ones =)
The only issue is playing older games that don't support the aspect ratio of my bigger monitor. (16:10). If I'm not able to play the game in a window, I can just play it on the other monitor (by switching which monitor is the "primary")

This equipment didn't pay for itself =)
I was just messing around having a boring time last night, when I got an idea.
"I have an awesome video card (Radeon X1900GT) that supports two monitors. I have an older LCD monitor sitting around. Maybe I could use that too..."
So I pulled out this older LCD monitor I have had in the closet (It has been there since I replaced it with a monster 24" LCD), and put it on top of my left speaker, facing me. I then configured my vid card settings to extend my window's desktop with this monitor.
I have got to tell you. This kicks ass! I can have any application open (such as photoshop or my music software) in my big monitor's full 1920x1200 resolution and have a second monitor for something else (Like browsing the BBS =])
I've always been planning on buying TWO 24" LCDs. Just having this small LCD (at 1024x768) kicks ass enough. Having two 24 inchers would be heaven.
What do you think, eh?

I'm certain that all of the endless hours spent re-designing the site will show brilliantly upon its release. I'm looking forword to it, as everyone else ;)
I agree with the author of that flash when he/she says it's a TOY, not a game. It's hardly even fun, the line editor lacks an immense amount of functionality, and there are many bugs when you "ride the line" that ruin many potentially fun feats you could accomplish.
It has great potential, however. I can imagine many awesome games that could be built out of the sort of engine.
By the way, I had a game like this on my macintosh over 10 years ago. The idea isn't necessarily new ;)

Well, congrats to both of us ;)
Hah! Those were great.
Makes you think about all the possibilities... Heck. If all those were wrapped up in to one game, I'd get it! (The Hitler one was hilarious)
Looks like a great keyboard!
I probably wouldn't replace it considering I have a Prodikeys DM, though (Great for music people)

Whoops, correcting an error there. I did have one class at my high school like the rest of my post says (Although for two years of my high school, I had no actual classes there, this wasn't one of them)
The test IS incredibly stupid, though. You're probably going to feel insulted at having to take it.
It's pretty cool running in to NG fans. I occasionally wear my NG hat to school and get compliments on it from other NG fans. I think I'll get an NG shirt as well. I think Tom gave them to all the mods at one point but I forgot to respond to his e-mail, and that was a little while ago.
I also once ran across someone who was wearing an oldschool NG shirt =]

That story's actually hilarious. I have been in the same situation many times.
My girlfriend isn't really involved with NG at all, but she has covered for me many times. I guess it's the second best thing I could ask for aside from her being an NG fan ;)
The word "Asvab" it self sounds pretty dull.
Evidently I was required to take this too, but I wasn't actually taking any classes at my high school. I was attending all classes at college.
When I came back to high school for the one period that I had there, hall monitors began to bug out, saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE HALLWAYS??". I told them I was there to take my class, but they told me people were currently taking the ASVAB test. The testing was over two days, and evidently I had missed the first, but still need to take it.
So I go to my high school early the next day, even though I don't have any class, and let them know what's going on. Things go normally and I get assigned to a classroom to start taking the test. Right as we're about to start, someone comes in to our classroom and asks for me. They escort me outside of the classroom and tell me not to bother taking the test.
So I went home until I had my college classes. Of course, I got TONS of crap on my way out from people telling me "WTF YOU SHOULDN'T BE IN THE HALLWAYS", and had to wait 15 minutes for someone to "clear" me before I could exit.
And that, my friends, is how I didn't take the ASVAB.
One thing that has pissed me off about IE for a while is that very error window.
It'll say that IE has encountered an error, needs to be shut down, and that "they apologize for the inconvenience". The great part is that IE would still be working. I'd drag the error message down in to a corner (since pressing OK on it would shut IE down), and continue using IE as if nothing happened. When I was done, I'd just press okay on the error message and let it shut itself down.
I just barely read about a suicide at a school?
Is this it?

Crazy.
Wade,
I'm already a Review, Audio, and Icon moderator. I feel that throughout my NG "career", I have been respected by the community and trusted with many priveledges and abilities. If you are looking for additional help regulating the BBS, and are having some troubles locating additional users for this, I'm willing and able to lend you guys a hand =)
I am solidly active on NG throughout the week. I already spend chunks of time each day helping out with the audio and review lists.
I am currently working a college schedule that allows me to visit NG at almost any part of the day. I also don't have classes on a couple days of the week. If you want detailed information on my schedule, feel free to send me an AIM.
Why do I feel I would be a good BBS mod?
-I don't post as frequently as many users, but float around in the BBS for much of the day.
-I have experience of account administration outside of NG.
-A large percentage of my posts could be considered helpful and informative. I would never be ashamed of my post history.
-I am already trusted with the review, audio, and icon moderator positions.
-I am already active on NG through these positions.
-My times of availibility allow me to visit NG with little restriction.
-I feel that banning a user is not an opportunity to insult or belittle them, but simply to inform them of what rule they broke. A fair ban time usually doesn't leave the user feeling abused.
-I am well acquainted with other NG moderators of all kinds and am confident that they would support me.
-I am well acquainted with the administrators of NG, have on many occasions had friendly conversations with them, and am also confident that they would support me in holding such a position.
Again, I am open to giving you more details and answering any questions that you may have. Feel free to contact me =]
So how are regulars exempt from such damage?
At 10/16/06 10:38 PM, HouseMasta wrote: i dont have any weird borders....
That's because the difference between the BBS's appearance between IE and FF is so small. They're still there, though.
I see the same thing when I compare the two browsers, but I don't consider it a problem at all. Either forget it's there, or start thinking that it looks cooler than IE's version =)
The insert key. The only thing it does is screw me up occasionally when I accidentally hit it.
Sure there's a lot of talk going on here, but is anyone here man enough to make things happen?
From my perspective as an audio mod, nothing seems to be wrong with your account. You're not on the list of users waiting to be approved.
The admin you contacted probably took care of it, and surely they let you know =)
Wade said it's fixed now. Give your submission another try
