It also depends on what kind of graphics you've got going on in your flash. Using a lot of fancy stuff ( gradients, filters, etc) will cause a lot of lag when zooming, otherwise, V-Cam is the way to go.

Yup. Turns out that's exactly the problem.
I got filter happy and didn't realize that it tanks performance.
Got rid of all the fancy stuff and now everything works just fine.
Thanks for your help everyone. :]

I'm sure it's not my computer, she's top-notch, but I'll try taking a look at the other stuff.
Thanks for your help everyone, I really appreciate it.

Well, I added a preloader. Still no difference. :/
Any other suggestions?

I'll add a preloader and see if that helps.
Thanks, I didn't think of that. :]

I don't know where else to go with this, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out.
I'm working on a flash with the V-cam, and it works fine - Until it comes to zooming in and out. When I test the movie, everything moves at the normal speed, but when the V-Cam starts to change size, everything gets severe lag and plays at about 2fps.
Can anyone help me out with this problem? Thanks.
