I am confused lol
Emphasis on the word 'your.'
Eh, I'm looking to homogonize a resource, like any manager is. Think about it from my side. I'm negotiating with my investors and talking to the people to get the needed equipment and IT for my main projects - For me, everything is a series of numbers and logistics that result in a cash flow.
You're a resource. I can't say it's necessarily childish, but more unprofessional that you folks seem to assume you're special snowflakes when the moment a company that actually has a foothold waves a check in your face you'll be "Yes, sir!" about anything they want built.
That's how business works. You either make it yourself or you're working for the guy who's making it.
McLeary Enterprises is a new company developing in Western Canada; Currently it's main source of business lies in networking technology, research and development and cloud gaming cafes.
I am personally the owner of this company, and my plans for the future not only include expanding on our limited portfolio, but I would like to one day head up a video game development studio and/or publishing company of some kind.
I will be playing the director role. I'm going to get that out of the way now - I only have a small amount of any digital art skills, some sound engineering skills, general knowledge of gameplay mechanics... I know just a small amount about some things, and a bit more about others. None of the topics I genuinely studied make me qualified in any way to be personally developing video games.
Where you come in is simple: If I can find the needed personnel to develop a demo based around my concepts, as I will begin development of a game design document only if my efforts to find these personnel show interest, we will build a demo together - Perhaps even an alpha build in general, depending on people's commitment, availability, etc.
Then the usual methods will be followed to make it into a full game: Indiegogo, kickstarter, possibly even direct funding from other developers or publishers to see the project finished and released.
Unfortunately, at this stage in the company's development (we're only in consulting and running our cloud gaming business), I cannot promise anyone immediate compensation for their efforts - But here's the important part.
Anyone who decides to sign on to this project will sign contracts with me and my company. These contracts will assure...
- A mutual security of information - You will be legally obligated not to give away information I share with you about my concepts, game design information, intellectual property, etc. and I will give you the same; I will be legally obligated not to take things that you share with me in regards to how you would apply your skills to implementing my ideas as components to the game and run off with them.
- Definite payment for stage 2 development, provided the success of the demo - As in, once the initial go at game material is complete enough to present, and if it successfully receives funding, a section of the funding will be allotted as payment for your continued work on the project. In regards to this point I should mention that one of the areas I have actual expertise in is salesmanship and marketing - A strong product and a good pitchman can go anywhere.
-Possible opportunities for long term employment, depending on your interest, within a game development sector of the company - Assuming the first steps are completed successful, we will have at this point >sold< the game as an actual release of some kind, and that money can then be used to establish the needed resources to employ the people who come on for this project as developers for the company, which will then lead to further development.
This is a lot riding on only my ideas, but one thing I want to do in life is establish a game developing entity that keeps the ideal of making games with a unified concept behind them, games which genuinely try to provide a good experience instead of being made for the sole purpose of profit, alive.

No concepts will be shared in this public forum, however, because deleting this is beyond my control, this can stand as a reference for everything I'm offering; Once people see this, I can't just back out or try to stiff you, I genuinely want this for my company.
In addition, I am also unlikely to pay much attention to this forum as I only logged on for the sake of spreading the word about this.
So, in order to talk to me about this, simply email me.
So I'm running a d20 Modern campaign with some friends and I'd like to have a decently good animator make a music video based on it. Yep. Willing to offer some cash, but I'm on a fixed income. Message me for details, do what needs to be done to keep this threat noticed if you don't mind, I guess.
I have a d20 Modern campaign I'm playing with some friends and we found a perfect song for the general feel of the campaign - Since everyone knows how their character looks and acts and I'm the DM that knows how the world looks, I really wanna find an animator that might be willing to help make a music video.
I do intend to direct myself but of course that's not the majority part of the work - I'm on a fixed income so while I am willing to offer some kind of compensation for the effort and time, I could only offer so much. Truth be told, I have enough artistic talent and experience with certain softwares to do coloring of frames myself; Soooo, all I really need is a line-art style animated thing.
Send me a message.
Seriously. Anyone notice how ridden this site is with beefy uber-men who AREN'T artist's renditions of staff members?
Anyone else get the feeling that one of the higher ups has latent homosexual desires?
I'm uber nerdcore. So are most of my friends. We're currently running a DND group in which we've made probably the most in-depth characters we've ever played with.
I seek to hire one or two animators to work on a non-colored animation which basically has all the characters kicking ass to music.
I'm not looking for "professionals" who will charge me professional rates for their frames, I'm on a fixed income - I'm looking for a talented artist who knows how to made decently fluid animation... Some one with a gritty style or who does a lot of sketching would probably be the best bet.
Rate will be negotiated during the discussion of other things, throw me a PM or email me (as I check to make sure this account is attached to my currently active email...)
