I think you should start using CGI combined with one of those non-free database systems (I forgot how they're called though).

Why use CGI? PHP isn't limited to mySQL, so if they were going to switch database software (which I doubt since it means $$ for both the software and the server cluster,) why not just leave the scripts exactly as they are and rewrite the database class?

Although, as unlikely as it may be in the near future, I assume that they'd be looking at commercial level db software for the future. mySQL has it's limits and NG is already pushing them. NG isn't getting any smaller, and mySQL certainly isn't in any hurry to get much better.

I fucked my shoulder last Wednesday night. When I woke on thursday it wasn't too painful unless I moved it, but whenever I did it was agony. I didn't go to the doctor because I figured there wasn't much that could be done for it. So now it's more of a consistent dull ache in my shoulder, and a nasty pain in the side of my neck. And I still can't really move my shoulder.

ugh. Don't you get it? How many more times must I explain it? I didn't make my site for others. I made it for MYSELF, for coding practise, for experience. I don't give a toss if people get "a unique experience." I personally got a unique experience out of coding it. My website plays second fiddle to my flash, and always will. Flash Is my passion, and I put everything into my work. When I work on my site, It's usually because I need a break from flash.

And for the record, of the three major features that are unique to NG that I "stole" being: Experience points (which works differently), the color coded movies and under judgment movies, I was the one who suggested hiding of scores to NG! I fought for the idea when everyone took Wade's initial stance and hated it. Now it's considered one of NG's unique features.
