I agree with alot you say up until this point. I will not vote Obama because he may cause a resurgence in more freemarket/conservative politics if he fails miserably during his term.
Also, I will not vote for McCain, especially his push for the bailout, and probable continued excessive spending on some of the policies The Bush Administration has started, which are contrary to most libertarian ideals.
I will vote for who I believe the best nominee suited to be president is, a third party canidate, Libertarian Bob Barr.
Many people will say Barr has no chance of winning this election, and they are right, but things will never change unless we show politicians, with our votes, that we want change. We have to stand up and vote for what we believe in, not "the lesser of two evils" or in your statement, "the greater of two evils" (side note: I'm just using a phrase that is being tossed around lately, I don't believe McCain or Obama are evil).
There was a poster in a classroom once when I was in school. It read "Stand up for what you believe in, even if you stand alone." If we both agree that we like neither canidate, then why don't you go ahead and stand with me, so I don't have to do so alone?
I believe your stated stance, sir, in the long run, is counter-productive to what you want to induce.
