No. The problem is: the colors don't change at all. Motion tween doesn't work PERIOD. I'm looking for some other method, or if someone can correct me if I not doing something obvious.

cool color fade effects Posted December 14th, 2006 in Game Development

I want to make some of my stuff in flash make cool color fades like the * in weebl's "bonjour"

I thought a motion tween between two objects of different colors would do it, but I'm wrong. Help please, thank you.

Obama is a good choice. It's time black people had a chance to run this country after how badly white people fucked up Iraq, the environment, social security, national security, the US-Mexico border, anti-child abuse legislation, the national debt...

Oh.

The n-word is never going to stop being used. It may go under for a while but it will always go on between other black people and racist co-workers. Simple as that.

I don't have any serious advice. Wait until she's matured, when and if that happens. Shut off all communication in the meantime.

Whatever. It's a PR thing by Nintendo to get older people to play games.

But, I still think the Wii is the best, so... whatever.

Watch Super Mario Bros Z Ep. 3 and look for when Mecha Sonic is about to hit Yoshi in mid-air and two beams of light come out of Mecha Sonic's eyeball. THAT'S the sound I'm looking for.

Response to: The lack of dbz sfx on the net >:( Posted December 12th, 2006 in Game Development

I've tried flashkit. They don't have what I want. I could try reproducing the sound myself, but in my animation, the beam of light thingie is unmistakable. I'd end up using my voice, and I just want the real thing.

Goddamnit, I can't find them! They're nonexistent! Where the hell do all these flash artists get their dbz sound effects?! Jesus H. Christ!

>:(

Angry faic eases the pain...

Anyways, there is a point to this topic. Can anyone recommend a video game (perferably in rom form), youtube video, soundboard, or other flash movie where I can sample dbz sounds? I'm using WireTap for this (can you tell I'm using a mac?). The sound I'm looking for is when the two beams of light come out of a fighters eye or arm before they hit someone. This is used a lot in Sonic's Quest for Power and Super Mario Brothers Z, but I want something where there's no music in the background.

Peace.

Good advice, I'll try that. How do you put flash movies on Myspace profiles, then? Is it the <embed> html tag, or is it more complicated?

How do you get streaming sound to cross over into multiple scenes? I have 6 scenes in my movie because shit changes really fast and its easier to work with a blank canvas every time. Should I find a way to cross over my music to other scenes, or should I compile all my animation into one big scene?

I guess I'll go for it, maybe today.

Response to: Why doesn't race matter? Posted November 9th, 2006 in Politics

People who don't acknowledge race as a part of life and living it are in a fantasy world. Some people just don't want to hear it, and continue living in some raceless utopia that doesn't exist. I think we need to be aware of and celebrate our own individual race and culture. We're all part of the same human family, but we are all unique with our own histories and customs. Shouldn't that be a part of American culture? Some people are just retarted and want the problem of having to think to go away.

Response to: Smoking, some questions Posted November 9th, 2006 in Politics

As an American citizen I'll tell you 1) it's because the government told them to, there's not much the tobacco industry can do against the laws of the United States. Politicans need to keep their constituents happy, and demonizing the tobacco industry for brainwashing the youth is a good way to score some points. 2) Consider that parents who are smokers usually raise smokers. The same thing with non-smokers and smoker-haters. A kid's environment is more or less the determining factor in whether they smoke or not. 3) I want mary jane to be legal (and that day can't come soon enough), and I don't care how the tobacco industry is treated. If all tobacco companies were abolished and the sale and trade of tobacco had to be controlled by lots of independent factions, I wouldn't give a shit. However I would give a shit if tobacco were outlawed, because I enjoy a good cigar.

Does that answer everything?

That might work. As an experiment, maybe I could resubmit my movie with low quality. Then again, I remember trying to set the movie quality to low while it was on NG and it didn't have much of an effect.

I need more ideas, and more help.

Response to: Why do movies lag in the portal? Posted November 8th, 2006 in Game Development

Well, what else are my options? I already know the movie won't work on Newgrounds. When you say the movie is streaming, it's not, because the preloader loads everything before the movie starts. Or maybe that's not the purpose of the preloader. I don't know.

I really want to find a way to fix the movie now without having to reduce the fps or anything.

Goddamn this pisses me off.

Why do movies lag in the portal? Posted November 8th, 2006 in Game Development

I tried to submit a flash movie today. It's 500 by 500 pixels large, runs at 24 frames per second, and it works fine on my computer in both .fla and .swf formats. Then I try to submit the movie to the portal, and it lags behind like a son of a bitch. It's a music video, and none of the music matches up with the visuals.

Don't bother looking for it, because the NG community gave it a swift death. It's under today's obits as "Suck My Ass It Smells".

Why did my movie lag behind? I want to share my movie with NG, and it doesn't work in the portal!

I've tried contacting Tom Fulp for help, but maybe you guys can help me too. I want to resubmit my movie, but I need to do something to it so it works in the portal. Any help is appriciated.

Try VH-1. They got Camp Chaos their own TV show, Ill-ustrated, so they're not closed off to the idea.

btw, HBO already had an animated series, Spawn (lasted 3 seasons), so they're familar with the idea themselves.

Du-Bullets: Killing Our Own Boys Posted October 5th, 2003 in Politics

In the Iraqi War, soldiers are using Depleted Uranium Bullets (or DU bullets) to penertrate tanks. The advantage of this is that du bullets sharpen on impact, rather than flaten like lead. The military claims that because it's depleted, the uranium will not cause cancer. Oh, silly U.S. military! It's a different story when it gets in your bloodstream.

U.S. soldiers in Iraq are getting cancer and so are the people of Iraq. Uranium will not get out of your body once it gets in. If anyone gets hit with friendly fire by du bullets, chances are it's time for cancer. Hell, people can breathe it in when the uranium melts from impact and gets in tank fumes.

So... why are we still using these?
