Response to: "official" Atheism Vs. Theism Topic Posted August 8th, 2013 in Politics

At 8/8/13 08:06 PM, NightmareWitch wrote: Atheism means putting yourself as the god of your own life. Most religions put something other than yourself as god. If you are your own god, then you'll be more self-centered than someone who believes in a higher cause. You make your own laws for yourself and there are no absolutes..

Why do you care what I think? Sounds like you're trying to defend atheists as a group and that's what shouldn't matter if you're a true atheist.. there is no group cause or position. Some no-name witch oversees shouldn't bother you enough to try to change her opinion.

1. Atheists have no "god", by definition. A negates the theism, or God-worship. It has no further meaning, no implication that the individual, group, or activity holds any further philosophical position.
2. Therefore, the self cannot be the "god", as there is no god.
3. Therefore, the atheist is free to excercise any of the myriad of human emotions and actions. Altruism, greed, anger, joy, moral action, willful ignorance, the list is endless. Selfishness isn't mandated, but it is possible.
4. Religious people are selfish. Take Pat Robertson, for example.
5. And immoral. Take any pedophilic priest as an example.
6. There can be absolutes. Religion is entirely mental, and I guarantee you that a person who lives within the law or any set of moral guidelines outside of religion will be just as emphatic about their own code of ethics.
7. Being an atheist doesn't suddenly mean that you're immoral, disinterested in other people, or antisocial. Maybe he's looking for ideas to improve his own philosophy. Maybe he's giving you a few of his own. That's what we do here.

Exactly. What shut-ins want you to believe:

A guy googled hiking equipment and pressure cookers, the NSA tapped his phones and busted his door down.

………

What actually happened:

A guy got fired for having his wife hang out at his workplace. He used the computer to search for backpacks, She used his computer to search for pressure cookers. The employee was released, the Boss noticed suspicious searches, and he decided to call the police. The local police's CID showed up at their door to get paid overtime for a bullshit lead, spent as much time there as possible, and then left.

Response to: I heard... Posted August 8th, 2013 in General

No, there was a news story this past week about someone googling "backpacks" and "pressure cookers" and having a visit by a three letter agency. It turned out the guy googled it at work and his boss was snooping around, called the cops, and that's the end of it.

What is with white crime? Posted July 31st, 2013 in Politics

I mean, take a gander at the Huntington Beach riots. Most of the businesses destroyed in the riots were owned by white people. I think it's stupid, why trash your own neighborhood? They say it's a rational expression of rage, but I think calling a riot a rational expression of rage is such a cop-out.

Chris Hayes recently made some very good points on the subject of white crime. Nearly 90% of white murders are perpetrated by white people. Whites live in a culture of drug and alcoholism, and the mainstream media simply refuses to look at million, billion, trillion dollar scandals on Wall Street for what they really are--a poisonous mob of whites who (maybe genetically, I'm no expert) refuse to abide by the laws of society.

Sounds like the sort of result you would get from dumping a trillion dollars into making public education better. I.E. the standard of interactions increases to a point where it's impossible to be deceptive.

If every citizen makes perfect decisions because they have access to a perfect education, then why do you even need a government?

Really? George Zimmerman gets a free moral pass for stalking and killing a minor who was committing no crime just because he's going about his life doing things that everybody does? Give me a break.

He's also wildly misinterpreting Obama's speech. It's candidly obvious that he (a) sucks at English in general and (b) didn't listen to the entire thing.

Are you familiar with the term disinform? It's what an intelligence or marketing agency does to distract people from deep inspection of their product.

In this case, the product was to persuade radical Muslims in the Middle East to carry out an attack on US Soil to build the support for a war with Iraq. The disinformation was the attempt to create and control absurd conspiracies within the online conspiracy theory counterculture, making the average person less likely to take actual conspiracies seriously.

The result is the average American laughs off the idea of 9/11 being an inside job as some sort of conspiracy theory. The reality is that many independent investigators who are trusted by the public on other matters are ignored whèn they say the Bush/Cheney administration had prior knowledge of the plot and let it happen in order to increase the military budget, alter the energy market, and destabilize the region which will eventually be made a part of Israel.

And if he's dressed in a hoodie with the hood up while it's raining, a normal person would ignore him, strike up conversation to find out what's up, or even offer him a ride.

Not call the cops, chase him down, confront him, and shoot him.

I've held the opinion that race intelligence studies are Christmas facts. You don't tell a child Santa Claus isn't real, you don't tell him Jesus was born on a different day, you don't tell him Christianity is a lie, and you don't tell him the world's religions are at war with each other. You just do your best to make his life better until he's old enough to understand that life isn't fair.
