Topic: What's with Canada Dry???

Posted: 11/21/09 09:06 PM

Forum: General

I remember my first time drinking Canada Dry. The nose was oh so fresh, and it crackled like freshly uncorked champagne. The taste was something of legends, the sweet and spicy notes that yelled out at me, and the subtle fresh notes that came after made this drink worthy of only being drank out of champagne flutes. Anyone who doesn't drink it out of flutes is obviously lower class and should not be allowed to embellish in such a godly liquid.

What's with Canada Dry???

Oh yes.

Now now, we're not trying to kill her, I don't know if she'd be able to handle the stuff. I think our tap water has about the same alcohol content as American beer, we'll just let her try that first.

So Mori, have you even done your first drink yet or is it still a ways away?

Brought some bourbon to a buddy's house after work and got all the guys to do a shot. Almost made my boss hurl lmao. I'm disappointed, it was the good stuff too, like $50 a bottle good stuff. I'll just have to bring my root beer vodka next time, less old manish.

One reason. Because they have no fuckin idea what they are talking about. The people who deny the halocaust are either phycopaths or grew up being told that.

A two way street goes both ways. To deny that the opposite can't exist means you're as brain washed as the rest of the world who gets told what to think. Me, along with plenty of other people DON'T DENY that 6 million Jews died, but we realize that there is the fact that not everybody is accounted for and that the numbers are grossly over-estimated. That's what estimated means after all, guessed.

The only people who could possibly know what went on were the SS and they haven't caught very many of them.

Well then Belgium is more enlightened than any other country so far. On this topic at least.

Two words that carry some weight when discussing any topic "Prove it". Give me some kind of source, anything, CNN, BBC, MSNBC, even Faux News. Before you go accusing me of the same thing, Larry King is on CNN, and there are tons of youtube videos documenting the interviews.

It's a known fact that history is written by the winning side, WWII would have a very different story if the Nazis had won. Canadian history would have a very different story had the French won, not that the battles had been different, but the way they had been told would have.

That's what I said.

One Ahmadinejad come to mind, very intelligent man, even smart by non-American standards. Hell, I'd agree with him on Israel the way he presented it and the reporter (I think Larry King) failed to call him on his accusation. Larry King has my utmost respect, he's interviewed more people who have declined interviews than any other network I can think of, even anti-semitics.

I'm in.

Who wouldn't be set for life? I'd switch the Sambuca for Bourbon though, which ironically almost made 5 people puke tonight...pussies.

Indeed, if you had Guinness every day, you would most likely become a fatty. One bottle of Guinness Special Export (special Guinness of 8%ABV brewed for Belgium and Holland) contains over 800 calories, I once read on the bottle. That's like, almost a whole meal?

Anyway welcome to the club :D

That reminds me of what my supervisor said about our deep fried wings, 200 calories a piece and there's about 10-12 wings per pound. I love the salt and pepper wings, but one of the waitresses picks away at any vegetarian thing I can deep fry. God help me I like the attention and she has huge tits, fake, but huge :P. I've also learned that I'm a cheese fiend, Mozza sticks, cheese toast, grilled cheese sandwich, I wonder if it's my body telling me something.

Well that sucks, but the wages must be a lot better than over here. For the most part bartenders and waitresses make minimum wage and rely on their tips as their main source of income, which actually works pretty well since we only have to pay 10% income tax in tips compared to 30% on a regular wage. It's nice when it's busy, my personal record is $260 which was during rodeo, made almost $700 in three days lol. It really sucks when we don't get anybody though, my low on a weekend night was like $20, good thing I have a boss who actually gives a crap about his employees and pays a decent wage (for our profession at least).
