I do both voices and TeamTamago captured all the sound, and the reason why we didnt add any background sounds or music was simply to allow the animators freedom to pick and choose any effects they wished, for a far more broader spectrum of options for things like location... It wouldnt do too good to have the sound of seagulls and a beach when youre wanting something indoors, like a bar, would it?

I heard that the collab was so good that they had to bury it under a huge monolithic rock while chanting haiku to an overly obese-looking construction worker from jersey. When the task was complete, they placed the obese construction worker on top of the rock and let the collab incubate for several months... Maybe thats's why it's taking so long.

It'd be funny if they lost all the animation footage. Like, the project was massive, and their comp for puting it all together couldnt handle it all. It crashed and wiped all the submissions. It's be terrible, but funny. Right?

And yea, im aware that there's an age rating and content descriptor prior to viewing, but that descriptor doesnt describe everyone's entries to the collab. If i see an animation thats highly rated and it was done by an individual, and the description, say for example was 'excessive nudity, mature themes' at least I know thats what I know is all the way through it. But for something that say 100 people have contributed to, the descriptor is only rating the high end of what to expect, instead of what it contains as a whole.

I'm also not saying describe absolutely everyone's entry though, that would just be silly and a huge waste of time.

Anyway, I appreciate all your input on the subject, It's been very rewarding.

The reason I'm so interested in the collab and newgrounds though, isnt because of the variety of talent, its just because I like flash animation. But I suppose it has something for everyone, if you're into that sort of thing. That could be classed as something positive or something negative depending on the individual's moral standpoint. I - personally - find pornography distatsteful, but I know that I'm unable to stop it from appearing.

I hope I don't come accross as some sort of jerk: "ohh, you dirty, filthy people." If I do, I apologise, my intention wasnt to judge the individuals or the masses here. But it was something that was nagging at me from the last collab that I felt strongly about. I'm just glad Shadowii2 let me know there was a way to skip the scenes.

I found what you said quite hard to read, but i think i understand what you mean.

I'm not judging the technical proficiency of the submissions, I'm just speaking in regards to the moral standpoint. I know this site is pretty much a haven for 'leave your morality at the door, next to the coats.' but its still something that essentially should appear on the age restricted 'mature' section of the site. That's specifically there for that type of content, isn't it?

Or even a button that 'switches off' the fleshy, explicit content before u even start watching would be A-OK by me.

like I said tho, its enough to know that there IS a way to skip them, now that I know I'll make use of it.

It's not that my tastes are high brow, its just the fact that humor shouldnt need to include pornography in order to be halfway decent. And thats essentially all you see of stamper in the collabs, for example. And he goes way overboard with it and doesn't even stick to the time constraint of the collab half the time. (No beef with you, stamper, I'm just using your work as one example that stood out of many others)

I'll admit there were some very good jokes in the MGS collab that didnt resort to it, and now that I know you can skip the scenes I'll make use of that feature. It'd just be amazing to comfortably watch something without having to rest my finger on the left and right arrows. Peace of mind is what im referring to here.

The ability to watch something and KNOW that its clean, for me would make the collab that much better, personally.

Anyway, I don't want to argue about it, so lets just leave it at that. Thanks for the tip about skipping scenes Shadowii, I'll keep it in mind.

Yeah, but its not like theyre animating all the parts themselves... Like I said earlier all this time consuming animation is over and done with. All theyre doing is compiling it together. Grab the file, put it into its own scene. doing that 87 times shouldnt take 2 months. You could maybe stretch that out to a week if you had to.

theres no excuse to take 2 months on something if all the hard work for it is done. Unless their computers went into full meltdown 8 weeks in a row and had to start again. Ahh well, still lookin forward to it, albeit the sparkle has worn off tremendously. Get it over with already, so we can move on to the next collab that we wont get for months.

It wouldn't be so bad if they were doing all the animation themselves. But the lengthy, difficult part is done, all the people submitting have seen to that... All they need to do is make a menu screen, choose which entries to place in there, create a new scene for each entry and paste the stuff in.

(Obviously, if theres something specific i'm not seeing that they do that takes ages, I retract my statement, but thats really all I see them needing to do.)

I would say thats because 300, watchmen and batman are all graphic novels and comics. theres far far more source material to draw from. Dragonball, first and foremost is japanese. theres always gonna be that loss of translation for a western (and far wider) audience, second of all, most people will be comparing the movie to the anime and not give much thought on the manga. I understand what youre saying, but no matter what happens, theres always gonna be some loss when changing a piece of entertainment from one medium to another. Mostly because the original's the reason why people go see the spin off or sequel. I never have high expectations for anything made thats based on a different medium, that way I'm not disappointed. And occasionally, I'm impressed.

You dont need funding. Its meant to be a bad movie. The less of a budget there is the higher the chances of it being a total flop. Thats not to say all big-budget films are great and all small budget films are crap though.

He screams and everyone around him laughs, then he's crying with laughter as he taunts again. Goku in the tv show is saiyan (He's an alien, Anime doesn't necessarily mean asian) and second of all, dont you think Dragonball Z ruined Dragonball Z all on its own?

I mean like 7 thousand seasons of the same stuff over and over. It was a good show but there was never anything original, considering its length. Each season copied the previous season's storyline pretty much exactly, but with a different antagonist. And the filler eps of characters just charing power or talking... come on.
