In massive, how do you make the pitch of just white noise go up?

Also, how do you get slides in piano roll to work for massive?

Cheers people :]

I've found that selecting a bright noise and using a slow rising LFO on the color it provides a nice sound, the only problem is you may also have to use a filter to control the volume of the lower end.

It would be amazing if you could fit my track 'Dirty Dawg' or 'Chipbreaker!' in!

Cheers!

Hello, Ladies and Gents!

My name is Jake Walker, also known under the alias of Preyfour.
Just saying hi to the forums as I spent a lot of time on this site during my childhood discovering new artists and musicians, and I'm quite happy to have finally joined them.
I'm a dubstep artist with retro chiptune elements, and I'm simply here to share my music with people who are also into heavy tunes, and to meet other artists and users who would like to use my music in their animations etc. I started a new thread with the post in a few seconds ago, and got it locked due to not posting it here. I didn't know that I had to post it in here, as I didn't see anything about it in the rules, so therefore I apologise!

For anyone interested, you can listen to my tracks here!

Feedback is always both welcome and appreciated!

Much love!

When I make music (which isn't that often, I always have giant writers blocks) I never seem to improve, and sometimes I think I get worse in terms of producing ability.
Now to get to the point. How exactly can I improve in my musical ability? Should I stick to one genre? Try to make music more often? Follow a set of rules? etc;

If you could find some time to reply to this and help me out, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Try and find your definitive sound by emulating other artists for a while, and producing different genres of tracks. If your basically starting out you just need to have fun with what you're doing for while, even if what you're producing is terrible. Produce when you want to, it's not a case of following a load of rules and hoping you'll get better, each individual has a different learning curve and for some it comes easier to others. You'll get there eventually my friend! Just don't get yourself down about it!
