Flash that shows my smoothness in action.

A little rough Sketch of the Sarge

Wow thats pretty damn good. You are good with camera angles and simplistic yet working backgrounds. If your interested in helping please contact me.

Response to: Attention Artists! Posted September 5th, 2005 in Game Development

I'd have to see more animation work. Considering there will probably be alot of action sort of scenes you need to be good with effect and making character movement somewhat smooth.

Response to: Attention Artists! Posted September 5th, 2005 in Game Development

haha yeah thats kinda what I was going for as far as the sarge goes. hehe

Attention Artists! Posted September 5th, 2005 in Game Development

Alright. I know I will probably just get shot down. But it is worth a shot.

Ok so me a friend of mine have had this idea for a while to make a series(?) of cartoons about two cops. The series will be called Russell and Croeback (the officers names). We have already figured out all the details of the first episode and several expectionally funny (if I do say so myself) other plotlines. It is very hard for me to demonstrate the kind of humor with only writing so upon request maybe I could record some dialogue?

The flash is set in the 80's. Russell and Croeback are two young cops with attitude. They live together in their suburban house. There will be alot of dialogue done on patrol or in the cop car. They will go to the station and get assignments from 'The Sarge' who is your cliche fat bald police sargent with a mustache. Every episode the team will be stripped of their badge and guns for some obscure reason. But they will always get it back at the end. Were looking to make fun of as many 'buddy-buddy cop show' cliches as possible. I, myself, have been watching old "S.W.A.T." and "Starsky and Hutch" episodes from the 70's as research.

We will do all the voices, I have a lineup of a couple different people to play all the characters. We will also do the intro music, backgrounds music ect. I have a professional microphone connected through a mixer that goes into my soundcard. I will even help with lipsyncing or anything else I can do. I just would like someone to help me animate the characters or at very least do some backgrounds. This person should be dedicated and consistent. I do expect to be making more than one of these. If the series does grow to the point where we need web hosting I will provide this along with a domain name.

I understand this is a rather odd request, this being newgrounds and the flash forum you would think I could atleast animate my own flash for christ sakes. but alas I cannot. So all flaming aside. If any of you talented artists arent busy or have room to take up one more project we would love for you to join the team.

If your interested don't be afraid to drop me a line.

Im so proud to own a Zen. And thanks for the link.

I dont know if this will directly affect ipod owners. It will probably just be settled out of court with apple having to pay creative a large sum of money. On a different note, are zens better than ipods?

I'm not mad about it. I dont particularly like apple or creative. I just think that it's stupid. Theres absolutely no reason to disagree. If your going to sit here and tell me that the way that apple organized songs/artists was creative or revolutionary in any way then you are nuts.

Why patents are stupid. Posted September 2nd, 2005 in General

Patents are stupid because companys patent extremely general ideas so they can sue any and everybody who ends up accidently using the same idea because of the overall vagueness of the patent. The end.

My biggest suggestion would be practice. Submit your movies or post them up here. Take advice from people. Make more movies. Its just a big cycle. Nobody here is going to do work for you. Keep at it.

Sprites come from video games you do realize this right? There has not been an Aqua Teen Hunger force video game so therefore theres no sprites.

As far as I know there is no way to control anything inside the browser. You can open a new browser but not refresh. Why dont you just reset all your variables and have it go to the beginning?

Theoretically yes. But why? it's pointless.

Response to: Hey, we're new flash-animators Posted August 27th, 2005 in Game Development

Despite many of the other posts. I believe 'Writ-Works' to be one of the greatest flash authors of our time. Although his animation skills are not the best. He surely makes up for it in the other areas. Let me start off by saying.. the way he rotated that loading button was sheer genius. Who would have thought to rotate it? AND CLOCKWISE AT THAT! Secondly, let's turn our attention to the hilarious and brilliant comedy. Did you see when the stick figure fell over the rock? I mean.. Come on are we even watching the same trailer here? He FUCKING FELL. I think I laughed straight for like 4 hours. Maybe I didnt laugh at all but it felt like 4 hours. In conclusion, 'Writ-Works' aka jesus will probably be the author of the next big flash hit on the portal. If he keeps it up at this rate he will be making prowly-like animation in no time at all.
