Well since Glastonbury (sp) was cancelled a whole load of tickets where sold to the English.Which means if England win the world cup I might just commit suicide.

If you are looking to strenghten any part of your back/shoulders the excerise to do are pull ups.Buy yourself a chin up bar. These are amazing. They are cheap and eay to use and have worked wonders for me.

You can't lose weight in a specific area.To lose weight you must lower your body fat %, and this is done by doing cardio.Cardio doesn't target specific areas, only your whole body.

You can target specific areas to gain muscle on though.

Ok problem 1:

You're putting too much pressure on yourself.Don't expect miracles after 1 month.Working out is a long process and patience is necessary.

2.

You'll need to do more cardio.40 minutes four days a week isn't enough.Get out everyday and play sports/run/walk anything.

3.

You aren't doing weights. If you run a lot without weights you will lose weight BUT a lot of this weight will be muscle. And then you'll just have no definition.A weight routine will firm up your figure and this is important: Muscle burns calories 25 times faster then fat.So if you have more muscle its easier to lose weight.

4.

Your diet: First stay away from McDonalds.Your so called "healthy option" Asian Salad has:

370 calories
17g of fat

That's more then a cheeseburger!

Anyway, you have to exam closely your diet.Obviously stay away from crisps, chocolate, pizza etc.Instead eat lots of fruit/veg/nuts/lean meats/and if you eat bread stay away from white bread.Instead eat brown or wholewheat bread.

Yeah,so thats pretty much it.I'm 5'7 an 147 lbs so you ain't fat.Just undefined,I reccommend you hit the weights along with more cardio. If you wants a weight routine just ask.

hey whats the healthiest restaurant/ fast food place in ur opinion?
Uhh... my house, where I know exactly what goes into my food and I prepare it all myself according to my own standards.

However, it's really not where you go, it's what you eat there. Generally it's hard to eat healthy at any fast food place, so I just don't go. Just try to avoid things that have been soaked in fat, have your meal have a larger portion of vegetables and such, things like that.

I'd say the safest fast food place is a sandwich bar. There you can get yourself a nice healthy option. You can also get a huge fatty sandwich too, buts that's where a little discipline comes in. :)

By the way, another health tip, potatoes are really healthy for you, especially baked potatoes, but the problem with baked potatoes is that most people smother them in sour cream and butter, which destroys the nutrient:calorie ratio. There's a way around this though, just put salsa on your baked potato. It's delicious, it's low in fat and high in vegetable content. A baked potato with salsa is preposterously healthy.

ha, I'm Irish and eat spuds 6 days a week.Boil um', mash um' putter' Ina stew.

Anyway I started my new diet yesterday. Its called the Abs Diet.I don't plan to lose any weight with this diet,in fact I'll probably gain weight since muscle weighs more then fat.But the plan is to become really ripped in a month and a half. That isn't a long time but I'm the kinda guy who when he sets his goals really tries to achieve them.

My current body status is that my shoulders, lats, back, chest and whole torso are quite broad. The abs are defined but not as much as I'd like. However its my arms that are the problem.Although my arms definitely aren't skinny they are out of perportion with my much larger torso.Thats because I neglected them when I begun doing weights and any bicep excerise I did my form was bad.

Yeh the workout was cool. I found that the hammer curl seemed to make my arms tired faster than say the dumbell curve. And when doing the ab things, when I reached around 15 m y abs were burning

Thats a good indication your doing them right.

And I have been taking my time for the ab excercises. Like holding the position for a second or 2. But I didnt really take my time doing the arm exercises. I will in future though.

When you do the concentration curl especially hold for 1 or 2 seconds at the top of the movement. This will develop that 'peaked' bicep look.

Yeh swimming is fun. I should get back into it. How often you go swimming?

Whenever i'm in the gym when it isn't too full. I'm lucky my town has a savage gym. http://www.jackieskellyfitness.com/ I have that gym 10 minutes down the road which is handy!

Hectic. Thats a heavy session. I don't think Id last that long. Good luck with your exams.

cheers boss

Then I also done Workout B. Im figure Im going to be doing A on Monday, B on Wednesday and C on Friday. I feel pretty good actually. A little tired but Im expecting that.

How'd the workout go? Remember to take your time with each rep to maximize the excerise. Was every excerise alright for you?

And I also found out just by dressing differently I feel more active lol. Im wearing shorts and a wifebeater round the house and it physocologically makes me feel like being more active. Weird.

Yeh deffo. You feel way more fit and active when your in the shorts and t-shirt then in the jeans.

Anyway i'm just back from the gym.My workout include.

Cycled to the gym.
Did 15 minutes and the cross-trainer and burned 230 calories.Hard shit!
Various ab excerises.
Various bicep excerises, with dumbells, curl bar and on the cable machine.
Various back/shoulder excerises.
25 lenghts of the pool.

It was kinda shit though cause the place was jammers so I had to keep on stopping to wait for a machine or even a poxy bench which was a pain in the hole. The swimming was great though. Its my second favourite cardio activity, and is the best for you.

All in all I did a two and half hour workout which was great because of exams recently i've done fuck all.

Lie face down on the floor. Place your hands palms down on each side of your body. Keeping your legs and torso in a straight line push yourself up and support your upper body on your arms.

Slowly lower yourself until your chest is about an inch from the floor. Hold this stretched position for a second. Push yourself back up to the starting position. Repeat.

This is a good exercise to use either as a warm up to your chest exercises or as a finishing exercise to really pump up your chest.
