Serious thread
Long story short, a woman I have a sour relationship with announced she would kill her mother and sister for their life insurance. Somewhere around $500,000 combined.
Normally I wouldn't care, as heroism isn't a strong force in me, but I decided to put a cork in her bottle of joy.
Now, problems :
The police are unreliable. Obviously I have both physical and electronic evidence of her premeditation, which the court will discard.
Who would possibly want to persecute a poor housewife, mother of three? Who she happens to abuse and torture.
Nobody will believe me, and I refuse to openly testify. Because then I'll have to run for it.
I refuse to take the law into my own hands as well. No vigilante for me.
So basically this means the only option I have is to wait for the act and somehow get the investigators to look deeper. I can pull strings for that, but not for a prosecution.
The two people are very unhealthy and likely to expire soon, making a natural death look realistic.
I'm in a bind for my next move. Or should I just forget it?
