Okay the top link didnt work but I found it. I remember being really harsh with that on the alphas because to tell you the truth that is rubbish and doesnt really show anything other then some walls
yeah, you also wrote "hope you die" for some reason, which is cool, because now I know to ignore anything else that comes from your general direction. next time maybe i'll ask your permission to upload a work in progress to ng alphas, considering you run the place and are a wise and successful leader.

You will need to add buttons so you can choose which direction to turn.

I don't know how you intend to do movement, but whenever I've played a game of that sort I've found that having two or three in-between frames to depict the movement from one location to the next is much less confusing than an instant jump. Of course with so many possible variations it would takes ages to render the neccessary frames and get that working and the filesize would shoot up tremendously... :/
Forget I said anything.
hrm. yes, i had considered doing something like that. something similar to what you see in Lands of Lore, if you've played it.. But at the moment I think i'll just focus on getting it to run as a square by square movement kind of thing.. Surprisingly, adding custom maps to the thing instead of just random room generation is proving to be straightforward. I'll post updates later.
Thanks all for the criticism and constructive comments.
