Code understanding suffers. (less styles of code you read, less code you understand)
Technical background will suffer. (you may not know the common terminology in the field)
Prone to use specific data structures (you may grow a habit of only using one or two data structures for all programs)

Now. Your cons in this list, it is possible to learn on these things without education yes. It is just much harder.

Mmm. The admission's result is officially announced and I will be Freshman in Computer Engineering within 2 month.

The curriculum I admitted have a subject called Computer Programming 1 and Computer Programming 2 and 5 subject under "Software Technology and Method" group. So the university wouldn't leave me as clueless as I am now, and my aunt might teach me some of it so I would have more than basic about it for sure :D (One of my con would be underestimate it's difficulty)

Roughly speaking, Computer Engineers work with hardware. Do you like building your own computers and looking at hardware specs? Do you like the idea of learning about how CPUs, memory, storage, etc work?

Computer Science is usually a degree that prepares you to be a programmer. Do you like writing flash games or other software? Do you like discrete mathematics?

My ComEngineer aunt tells (I rewrite in my way) that I can learn coding while or after I am learning about building computer but it won't be so easy in another way around, and imagine how awesome it is for any employer (including yourself) that he have someone who can code from the computer he built? :D (I recall my mother that my aunt can solve the problem that two (software and hardware) conflicting professional can't)

I decided to enroll in CE because my parent and relative said that "Engineer" is sound good and other "Computer Engineer" here would raise the eyebrow if they know "Computer Scientist" will be their boss. I personally prefer coding and trail-and-error'ing instead of assemble something.

Despite decades of research , there is no proven link between video game violence and real-world violence. This is obviously a result of bad parenting, who would gives a gun to an irresponsible kid with mental disorder? I've been playing video games since I was 8 and guess what? I didn't turn into a murderer; the kid obviously had a problem before he even touched the controller for a first time. Furthermore video games are being used to improve lives of sick children in hospital and as a form of physical therapy and it works, a world is a better place with video games.

Did you know there are "good" video game out there? I mean the video game where you are helping simulated people or simulating build something, or the video game who there are no killing?

In topic. I born and live as a Thai. So Thai is my mother tongue. English is my second language which I accustomed with since all video game I played are in English. (but I am not good in grammar)

I have small knowledge in Japanese language. I am eager to know many language which is Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, Arabic, German, Mandarin Chinese and Latin, and if I know all of the language mentioned, I would learn others. :D
