I think there are less regulars than you have in that list. can't say why..but if that many people were regularly posting, this place would be a bit more lively (the forum, not just this topic)

Some of us choose to lurk in the shadows, thankyouverymuch.

President - Best overall poster in the Politics Forum

JMHX

Because he isn't here to vote for himself.

Secretary of defense - Most knowledgeable on matters of the military, war and conflict etc

TheMason

Same vote as last year, I believe. Seems to still be valid.

Secretary of State - Most knowledgeable on issues surrounding foreign affairs or international politics

lapis

He seems quite indepth with regards to understanding other cultures and religions, which I see as a
virtue for this position.

Secretary of the treasury - Most knowledgeable on issues regarding economics

Elfer

I don't know.

Secretary of Homeland Security - Most knowledgeable on issues regarding security such as terrorism, immigration, etc.

JoS

He seems to post exceptionally well when it comes to these matters.

Secretary of the Interior - Most knowledgeable on domestic issues.

Imperator

Eh, I haven't seen too many posters I would elect to this position, but Imperator seems to be a fine choice.

Attorney General - Most knowledgeable on legal topics.

poxpower

I didn't know who to put here.

Lewis Libby award for perjury - This award is for whoever makes up the most bullshit.

Memorize

There was an internal debate over this one, but Memorize probably wants it, and he has provided me with too much entertainment for me not to vote for him.

Robert Novak award for integrity - This is the worst poster award.

tony4morony

At times I like him, at other times, not so much. Beyond that, he's one of the few user names that jumped out in my mind when I read this. Also, I want to vote for a liberal troll JUST ONCE.

Captain Science - Test tubes and whatnot.

Elfer

Cocks.

Mr. Sexy Awesome - Best lurker / idling reg.

Me

Obviously.

Awesome. Just be careful not to cut yourself on some of the unfinished metal surfaces (ie, when some of it feels like it really needs a good shove, make sure your hand isn't going to slip and get gashed), and ground yourself by touching the metal frame of the system before touching the circuitry, and you should do just fine. Good luck. :D

Hate was just a legend,
And war was never known;
The people worked together,
They lifted many stones;
They carried them to the flatlands,
And they died along the way;
But they built up with their bare-hands what we still can't do today.

I know she's living there,
She loves me to this day;
I just can't remember
How or when I lost my waaaaaaaaay

He came dancin' across the water;
Cortez, Cortez;
What a killer.

Mmm, Gov't Mule cover.

Oh, and also I might be experiencing a change of venue in the near future. Weeeeeee

That's actually sounds good. You know, funny thing is: I prefer higher-grain bread now that I've been eating it for a few years, and pretty much anything else with a lot of grain in it. I don't know what it is, but I love the flavour. Food that's good for you sometimes tastes good, too.

It's a shame that everything that tastes good, is cheap, and is easy to make is bad for you.

At 10/24/07 01:05 PM, Malachy wrote: Have you ever actually used vista?

No. That's why I didn't say "I dislike Vista."

I wanted to just get a new XP machine...but they stopped selling XP with new computers at the big stores that carry PCs.

Apparently you can downgrade back to XP if you buy a certain version of Vista, but I would just install the OS myself. Meh.

It's not too bad really, it's basically xp with some extra bells and whistles is all.

Expensive ones. =/

Home Premium and above's system requirements are:

* 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
* 1 GB of system memory
* 40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
* Support for DirectX 9 graphics with:
o WDDM Driver
o 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)
o Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware
o 32 bits per pixel
* DVD-ROM drive
* Audio Output
* Internet access (fees may apply)

In contrast, Windows XP Professional's requirements:

%u2022 PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233 MHz minimum required (single or dual processor system);* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended
%u2022 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
%u2022 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space*
%u2022 Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
%u2022 CD-ROM or DVD drive
%u2022 Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Too many of those bells and whistles aren't worth the resources, in my opinion. That's not to say nobody should use Vista, it just isn't for me. The negative hype is misleading, but it's still riddled with flaws, as it's immature.
