Is Java still a good idea? Posted July 9th, 2014 in Programming

Despite all the hate that flies around the community, my favorite programming language is Java, maybe just because it's the one I work the best with.
I was OK with this preference of mine till recently I heard that Chrome is no longer supporting the Java plugin(security issues and so on), and then I started wondering if this may be the beginning of an era, a Java boycott era, I mean.

So, long story short, do you believe it is worthy to stick with Java or is it no longer a good path to be followed?

Sacros, check out these figures and how much 'dumber' than his idea this game is. So my answer to your question is 'I guess so'. There's audience for everything.

But my suggestion would be not using the 'Digi' signature. First of all, I'm afraid this could cause you later copyright complications if your game eventually stands out and, second, it would probably keep the 'non-fans' of the franchise away.
Overall, I think it has potential, I'm not up for the position you are offering, just came here to give my counter-opinion. ;)
