I didn't really listen to music as a kid.

The only times I would hear music were when I watched TV, played GBC games, or when my mom would play the radio in the car.

In the past there have been points when I have had life-affirming realizations and when they occured I felt a rare sense of utter jubilation and then when I talked to someone else to share my jubilant mood, they always asked something along the lines of "What the fuck is wrong with you? Why are you so happy? Nobody is that happy." and then I return to the emotional state I was in just before I had the realization, except it wouldn't happen a second time.

The people who brandish their atheism like a sign of intellectual superiority created that portion of youtube, so it's to be expected that most videos reek of the haughtiness that a lot of atheists seem to possess.

I suspect Christianity is thrown under the bus so often because it's far more popular in the western world than Islam or Buddhism. Even so, the atheist community still shits on Islam on a regular basis, so don't think they cherry pick religions to hate. However, I've never seen anyone openly hate Buddhism.

People aren't mean for no reason. This isn't 4chan. You weren't ostracized for no reason, so you must've been a sub-par poster with generally uninteresting contributions by means of threads and posts.

Quite frankly, there are a lot of people like that on General, so I don't know why you're taking it so personally, let alone publicly declaring that you're leaving after hardly contributing anything at all.
