If it this was about Russia invading, i can say this confidently, but: can you imagine that this will end up being a peaceful ending if China ever wins. If China was ever going to invade the US, its not going to because we did something wrong; invasion - retaliative reasons = conquest; conquest = death of conquered country. If we get screwed over, why not go out w/ a bang and the last word?
I'm not sure if everyone in the US agrees w/ me on this, but at least they would agree on the fact that they wouldn't like living under a regime that is 20th century that likes to clamp down of security, ahem Beijing Olympics, whenever they like.

Russia's involvement in Georgia is a blatant attempt by Putin to try and strong-arm his way to regain the 'motherland's' former glory. Like what Gunter said, Georgia was about to become a NATO member. Had Georgia not been invaded by Russia and had its NATO application halted, the NATO (pretty much all of W aka more powerful Europe + US) would have joined into the fight. Russia simply cannot allow that. The usage of such tactics is called (from what i learned in AP mod Euro) realpolitik and harkens back to the old days of Kaiser William, Nicholas II, Stalin, Hitler fighting large, bloody wars *shudders*. Now, Putin, although not the president of Russia anymore, still has the current president under his influence, and thus still makes him the leader. Another attempt, but this time at domestic power. Compounding on that, because of Putin's regime, free speech has once again been brushed aside. Even a dissident, Alexander Litvineko was assassinated, at England!

Russia supposedly had no involvement in this, even though the polonium seemed to have come from their reactors...
It implies that homo sapiens as a species will inevitable be screwed over.
This may be only one view, but medicine and technology does come at a price, but without it, we'd be worse off than those during the middle ages...
Isreal invading Gaza is totally legit. Hell, I'd even support them, but only if they do no go further and take over Egypt. That would be not legit and uncalled for.
About the 13 yr old being killed 'is' Hamas' fault. Think about this for a bit: They use human shields, like what Donnie said. Now, first off, a thirteen year old girl is not about to give her life up for anything. Unless she is one of those religius fanatics that you stereotypicly hear yelling 'Allah akbar!', then she would most likely have been kidnapped. Having said that, being kidnapped means that those who took her to be used as a human shields are kidnappers, and kidnappers usually take people w/o consent. That puts the blame of the death of that girl on the kidnapper.
If the girl was a person willing to give up her life, then fine, whatever. Now, what do you think is more cowardly, hiding behind a thirteen year old girl, or hiding behind a wall?

Ha China take us over? I think not! I'm chinese myself, but I will still fight for the US to the death if a single chinese soldier lands on our soil. There goes to show the determination to defend ourselves. If we ever take the fight to China (I'll join only if they had first strike), we'll beat them down so hard they'll be the shell of a country that they used to be. (You guys should've seen me beat down my friend in a game of Supremacy, no mercy).
Anyhow, I don't think that the US will fall like Comrade whats-his-face said. Here's what this person thought
