Actually, fact is, 40% of the world is Christian. Only about 20-30% are Islamic. And also, Christianity started out as the Catholic Church. Then as time went on, different people saw problems with it, like Martin Luther. Therefore, he broke off and created what we call, the Lutheran Church. Moving on, the Anglican Church was made in England later on, I believe in the Middle Ages. Then, when the people set sail to America they had the Anglican Church over there as well. Later on, in the 1700s when the Americans finally broke off from England, they wanted to purify the Anglican Church of all ties that made it look at all like the Catholic Church, so for a time they were called Puritans. If you are smart enough, you'll notice how "pure" is in there. Later on they changed their church into the Episcopal Church, which is what I am. In terms of churches like the Baptist Church, those are basically just people, who made it how they want it and it will not change. They are the people in the Bible Belt.aka..... the Bush Lovers. And they are most likely, along with non-denominational, super religious Christians, and sometimes also, Catholics, those are the most often to be very open about their religion. In terms of what you've said about the stores and what not. Not all Christians are like that, so don't blame all of us. And back to things like, the Jews in the Holocaust.....the starving people in Africa?
Well, who do you think saved the Jews, mainly Christians from other countries, including America.
Africa? Well, you know, theres a whole slew of Episcopals, Lutherans, Catholics, and alot of other denominations that are there, helping them out. My old youth minister and his wife just went to the Sudan last December to help out there, so basically man.
