Audio problems in flash Posted July 12th, 2010 in Animation

I'm a beginner and I've having trouble adding audio to my video.

Basically, I'm just trying to add the audio to a video I recorded on a second layer. The first problem is that whenever i hit play the audio starts and keeps playing even after I hit stop.

The second problem might be unrelated but basically when i go to Control--> Test Movie the movie does not play.

Response to: My First Remix Posted March 5th, 2009 in Audio

well ive been producing for like 3 years now.. but that was my first remix.

Response to: My First Remix Posted March 5th, 2009 in Audio

sorry about that.. im just excited that i finished it. I have a lot more down the pipeline. I really think its an interesting project. Because most remixes are just electronica remixes are top-40 songs. I have less mainstream and more edgy remixes coming out of artists such as Korn and Red hotchilli Peppers/ So if anyone is interested in the sound.. I could use the support to get this project out to people. Everysong will sound different! alexrecording@gmail.com
Sorry about the SSI (shameless self-indulgenge)
good-night

My First Remix Posted March 4th, 2009 in Audio

Just wanted to share my first remix. An uptempo hiphop/pop re-imagining of Misery Business. Expect more remixes from classic songs to be released often. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7RAPeXlR IM

Remixx! Posted February 24th, 2009 in Audio

I've heard of taking the accapella of popular top 40 songs and importing into your sessions and making your own beats to em. I really want to try this and have some songs in mind already. Does anybody know any good resources for this type of thing? Are there places with pre-made tempo mapped accapella with the the intent on doing a remix. Any help would be appreciated!

Sound FX Advice?!? Posted December 31st, 2008 in Audio

OK. Basically, what I am trying to do is build up a "break" sound fx collection. In other words, dropping or rising sound fx right before big part in a track; usually the chorus. You hear it all the time in pop/top49 songs. Some wierd futuristic sound that shoots right up to the chorus.. bridge what ever. If you don't know what I'm talking about. here is an [example] So I have tried looking for that on the internet but its kind of difficult. Does anybody have information on this. Like what to search?? where to look. I really need some to spice up my tracks.
Thank you in advance HAHA

Response to: Windows/vst Host Feature Needed... Posted December 4th, 2008 in Audio

cubase sx3 does not do it. because the way it works is you have a vst window where you can load VSTi's (virtual instruments) and thetracks get assigned to them. In Cubase 4 you can create intrument tracks and save them.. but cubase4 is not free.
Does anyone use Reaper?!?

Windows/vst Host Feature Needed... Posted December 3rd, 2008 in Audio

This is a tough question but I've been looking hard and haven't found much. If anyone is familiar with Logic Pro you have the ability to create a channel (track) choose a plugin, choose a preset and ad effects and then save that setting as a channel strip. This goes to a list on the right window and when ever you are working on a new project you can click one of the channel strip settings and it brings up that setting without going through the rigamore every time you want a particular sound. Ive been using logic for a few month and this is incredibly convenient. However, I am now on a windows based system and I have to find a new DAW to use. So My Question is; does anyone know of any decent daw/sequencers with VST support that has this feature??

I appreciate the hlp

Looking for Business Partners Posted March 9th, 2008 in Audio

I'm looking for talent out there. Music Producers, engineers and artists.

Basically one of the main goals to Phloston Records (soon to be Phloston Entertainment) is to license musical ideas and talent throughout a legal blanket to bring some revenue into this here game. I know a lot of you out there have innovative new ideas and the skills to back it up but are making no money. I want to sign producers and engineers to this entertainment company and license their work.

There is plenty more to come, I promise, but for now just contact me at

phlostonrecords@hotmail.com

Here is the biginning of what could be a profitable organization.

Response to: Aint saxophone cool anymore? Posted February 18th, 2008 in Audio

Its seems that the whole saxophone issue has unearthed some topic about contemporary music and what people think about it. Guitars have dominated the Western scene since the 1950's like a European in Native America. I don't know why but our culture just responds to the twang of a guitar. In India, its the Tablas. That is the sound of modern Rock and so many other form s of music. You can't expect a saxophone to take that spot whether it should or it shouldn't.

Response to: Standards lowered for Music? Posted February 17th, 2008 in Audio

About the sampling question before.

I have never used a sample; small or large.
However, samples can be an incidence for creativity.
Look at Kanye West.

P.s.
I have started with a sample to get creativity started. Made the track, then dooped the sample.
:D

Looking for a new DAW Posted February 12th, 2008 in Audio

I'm looking for a new DAW for overall production, mostly electronic with a guitar or vox every now and again. I run pro tools for my studio professional but I'm looking for a much more lightweight VST compatible, Digidesign interfaces, and decent fast midi capabilities. When I say digidesign, I mean the 002 series. I'm going to be getting a 002 (possibly 003) very soon and probably gonna be using that as my interface for quite a while. Also, I am foremost a beatmaker, not rap but all genres (think BT meats Timbaland) so what program ensures the most seemless creative enviroment while also being lightweight and fast and did I mention windows. Anyway, any help is appreciated.

A lot of Reasons plain synths like the sawtooth, and sine wave in the subtractor sound like nintendo instruments. That and some good commodore samples :d

Whats a good midi controller? for.. Posted February 10th, 2008 in Audio

Live. I got into a top forty band and a lot of the more modern music demands a wide range of synths. So I figured I'd road it with my laptop and reason. But whats a small durable midi controller thats geared for band usage?
