Straight up Doom Metal would be your Reverend Bizarre's and Candlemass's. Very Sabbathy.

Folk Metal.... They have a folk influence. And the EP 'The White' is folk. Very nice folk. But I would have to say that Agalloch is a combination of post-rock and black metal.

I know stoner metal is... stoner metal :P
Stoner Metal is stuff like Kyuss and Fu Manchu, isn't it? Stoner Doom is just Doom with extra psychedelia.

Er. Stoner ROCK is stuff like Kyuss and Fu Manchu. Bands I both fucking adore. And stoner doom is taking the blues influence from early Sabbath. Stoner metal is all about the blues.

Speaking of stoner rock, you should listen to my beautiful voice Nev:

I'm positive.
I just pretend I'm gay to get guys.

Speaking of gayness, I'm pretty sure the next album I get will be a Queen album. Was listening to them the other day whilst stoned and pretty sure they kick ass, but I don't have their music on my computer.

Aenima, then get Undertow, then Lateralus or however you spell that, and I havn't really given 10,000 Days a good listen yet. Opiate is cool.

I think Tool are a great great greatly amazing awesome band.

Riverside - YOU ALL NEED TO LISTEN TO THESE GUYS, seriously everyone in this club who likes either A.) Progressive Metal, B.) Ambiance or C.) Music that induces Revelation needs to buy all four of there studio albums.

You guys havn't missed me at all have you? Bollocks.

Well I've spent the last couple of nights at a nice lady's house. And she liked Sonata Arctica and we did things togeher while listening to them. Metal? Not really. Yes Metal Hell, I still find power metal made of fail.

Actually, I read somewhere that playing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon while fucking is really good, so I tried that. It's quite nice but nothing to write home about. I also sampled Porcupine Tree's The Incident as background sex music. I made her cum while playing it :D Friday night while incredibly drunk I took this girl from behind while playing Slough Feg's Traveller :D:D:D

What music have you guys listened to whilst boning?

More news. After a couple of stoned recording sessions I'm working on three of my stoner rock band's songs and I'll probably upload them here soon. I think we're going to call ourselves Nothing Done. Because we can't do fuck all when we're high except play music and sit on a couch and laugh at shit.

I dunno about The Morningside. Hope they're not boring.

And interestingly, I want to become an audio engineer and record bands and shit. I like the production of Nattens Madrigal because it is about the music, the raw energy and anger. Xasthur probably needs a modern production. The guy is slower and less innovative than Ulver. Atleast with a modern production the music becomes cool to listen to. And keys sound shite unless everything is recorded nice and slick.

Been listening to Mastodon's Crack the Skye. I think it's great. I much prefer it to the old 'Blood and Thunder' style I first heard from them.

You don't see art on it? Like Machine Head is art?

The only deathcore band where I notice the bass is Suicide Silence, which suck, is just a mix of Emperor and Marduk in Deathcore

You're a douche.

Actually, At the Gates is one of the groups core bands rip off.

It just so happens that Trivium stole riffs from Blinded By Fear.

The whole metalcore genre is a big rip off of At the Gates. But metalcore lost it's edge a while ago, everyone loves deathcore now. Atleast it's a tad more original. And brutal for that matter.
