First of all, I'm not a religious freak and do not read any holy books. Secondly, simply said, all those lovely quotes are bullshit. If the jewish holy book is so horrible towards the non-jews, why would christians base their holy book on it? There are tons of sites out there which take the Torah and translate it into English and have put it up on the internet. Please find me one, from a credible source, which shows these quotes.

I don't think it was right to try the kid as an adult because a 12 or 14-year-old is NOT an adult.

So if drugs are declared harmful, they are illegal. Not that I agree with that argument, but you can see now where it comes from.

Same thing goes for guns... if the majority concluded that guns are harmful, they'd be outlawed. But they're not, it's people who misuse guns. And 'the right to bare arms' is everyone's right to defend themselves.

I think 'Under god' has no business being in the pledge. I also think that 'In god we trust' has no business being on our currency. And separation of church and state should've eliminated those two issues. Yet, the majority of the population (sheep, all sheep!!) are religious in one way or another and believe there's nothing wrong with these things.

I don't think it's a huge deal, because those who don't want to say 'under god' don't have to say it. But how do you think it makes a kid feel when everyone else is saying it and he/she isn't? You can be damn sure that the child is ostracized from the rest at that point. So now we have a person who is persecuted for religious differences.
