Embed html in flash Posted April 19th, 2009 in Game Development

Hey all,
I want to have a full flash interface, but theres a part where I want to use a computer screen made with flash and within that screen have an html page. Is this possible?
I see all kinds of how to's on embedding flash into html, but not html into flash. Im trying to keep a general theme on a flash site, but want it to seem as if the html page is pulled up within a computer screen directly rather than opening in a new page.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Response to: please help on my collaboration Posted February 13th, 2009 in Game Development

Bump for late nighters. More people should really get involved with this collab.
Anyone want to share which old school cartoon they are going to do?
I was thinking something like possibly the Gobots or something REALLY old school like Felix the Cat.

Response to: Increase Brush Size In Flash Cs4 Posted February 12th, 2009 in Game Development

stroke size is a setting for your pencil tool. You need to select the tool that looks like a paint brush. Then you should have the options for the brush shape and size.

Response to: please help on my collaboration Posted February 12th, 2009 in Game Development

Dude, im on the lazer collab with you and saw your post linking to this.
THIS IS AWESOME!! It has to be done!!
Me and my brother will do something for this, seriously. We may even do 2 parts a piece. Let me see if I can pull a few strings as well and maybe get a well known NG icon or 2 in here as well.
Great collab idea. Lets rock this shit.

Response to: The Lazer Collab Recharged Posted February 12th, 2009 in Game Development

Sorry to hear this Fluff. Thats a terrible way to have to live, and die. If there is another place after this, I hope he is there and free of all his earthly ailments.
I mourn your loss and will keep you in my thoughts.

Script, Story Board, Or Wing It? Posted February 4th, 2009 in Game Development

So, I was working out a script for a new cartoon and I saw this dvd tutorial on story boarding. I went ahead and bought it and watched it and it was pretty interesting. It got me wondering tho how many artist/animators here actually use either a script, a story board or just go full speed ahead with no idea what you are going to make?
I personally used to just write mine out like a script, but im seeing where making a story board can be more beneficial for seeing what shots will work and actually setting up the character situations. It also seems to help practice my art and form drawing. The guy in the tutorial used photoshop, but I prefer flash still personally.
Please respond if you have any input on this or are willing to describe your workflow when it comes to preparing for an animation.
Thanks!

Ok, I got that intro part I was talking about in that PM I sent you done (for the most part). I need to try and slim it down a bit file size wise. I dont have a preloader on it so you may need to have it go thru a few times before everything catches up.
Tell me what you think:
LAZOR!!

Sorry, I meant SupaPeeves, not Cameron. Hes doing the crotch kick collab. My bad.

That would be an awesome inside joke for our collab. Also, we may just make him a pop culture phenom.
lol

Thank you :) I'm getting motivated now.

So I made another one, and found out the space shuttle thing had irrelevant specs, so here's my two parts 'till now:
Mark Space Shuttle Lazer
Mark Lazer Drinking

Whaddaya think?
Hey, guys! I made a part, it's about Nothing In My Way. I don't know if it's fitting...
Tommy NIMW Lazer
Is it cool?

Markus and Tommy,
Loved the animations and LMAO as well. I really like the art style you guys use.
The collab has def. stepped it up a notch!
Whats the next project you guys are working on?

Response to: The Lazer Collab Recharged Posted February 2nd, 2009 in Game Development

Thanks man. I think im going to leave the text the way it is since I spent a fair amount of time breaking it apart and animating it exploding away. Its more symbolic or some crap like that..heh.
Im working on another part as well, so I better get to cracking on that. Its a bit less graphic intensive than this one.
YAY!

Improved lazer graphics, improved charge graphics, ship graphics, and added a preloader to prevent lag.
There is also a little sidejoke in there now.

Looks great man! I think that will make a fine addition to the collab.

Response to: Crotch kick collab Posted January 29th, 2009 in Game Development

Cameron,
Im working on mine still, as well is my brother, but I have a question.
The one Im working on it a little longer than I planned and leans alot towards blasphemy. Do you have any problems with religion being brought into the collab?

Response to: Crotch kick collab Posted January 26th, 2009 in Game Development

Thats gross looking (in a good way), lol.
I like that style of art. Its kinda like the old car magazines with the rat driving the muscle cars.
That seems like it will be hard to animate tho?

Response to: The Lazer Collab Recharged Posted January 24th, 2009 in Game Development

Hey guys,
Me and my brother want to get in on this. We will have something to show asap. We both plan on doing a part.
Thanks!!
