Anyway, Gaming Rig down the bottom.

Lmao. I dunno if anyone else found this funny, but poof is a slang term for homosexual where I come from. I haven't heard it used much now though...

Anyway, I wish I was back in Canberra so I could have a go at this Mods Vs Scum of the BBS get-together. Unfortunately, I'm back in country NSW with craptastic internet. I'm getting pretty awful pings on even some local servers, so international ones are out of the question.

Ah, the good old nipple, or 'Touch Point' as I think the laptop I've got calls it. You hardly ever see them anymore, mostly it's always with the touchpads now.

Anyway OP, the eraser trick will probably work, though buying a cheap USB mouse will be much better to be honest.

What's wrong is that IW shouldn't be lowering standards for everyone, instead of trying to raise them. UT3 has shown that mods can work on consoles, and anyone who tries to argue that a dedicated server is worse than a p2p connection will be fighting a losing battle.

If anything, IW should have given console owners the opportunity to play on dedicated servers as well, rather than take it out of the PC version (where Dedicated servers have been a staple of the scene for years).

Either way, I'll remember that code. Here's Red-Magic's sig again (sorry) with that coloured background.

Welcome to the world of the 4th Generation my friend, along with the wonders of the Physical/Special split.

Also, I was wondering, do we have enough people with an active Wifi connection that we could try and organise a sort of mini-tournament? This type of thing has failed (spectacularly I might add) in the past, but if enough people can be online, maybe we could give it a go.

I just want to add something when dealing with the more robust classes - JUMP, and get so close that they think you're a closet homosexual.

This is especially useful when dealing with lone Heavies, since they can't rely on splash damage to take care of you. Jump close, fire your Scattergun as quickly as possible, and jump like crazy. It's exceptionally difficult to hit a Scout at point-blank range with the minigun, so use that fact to your advantage. I've done this many a time to the lone heavy, and it hardly ever fails. Be wary of Natascha-wielding heavies though, but the basic principal will work the same. You can't kill what you can't hit, after all.

Just downloaded the L4D2 demo. It's pretty awesome, I must say. I especially love throwing Boomer Bile at Tanks... You can basically just sit back and shoot away while the Common Infected distract him for you - much more effective than a molotov :P

Also did the gore fix for the censored Aussie version... it's unbelievable how much more fun it is with it on... and also - RIOT POLICE ZOMGSUDFTSFDSHGDCFSHMD

If you have a high enough Sneak, it's not a huge issue. Also, it's much easier if you go for light stuff - Gold is pretty easy to nab, since it's pretty much weightless.

Why would a soldier have a molotov? Molotov's are home-made weapons, and a soldier would have much better.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have any type of grenade-like object. The team removed grenades for a reason, and the game is much better for it.

RTV is rock the vote, if enough people want it, they can take a new vote on what map you're playing. RTD is Roll the Dice, where random 'powerups' are given to someone who rolls.

And the Scout with Sniper rifles isn't a randomisation mod, it's this crazy gamemode that we played once. Everyone is forced Scout, and they all have Sniper Rifles that shoot lasers beams, and instagib in one hit. Also, team attack is on... Hectic fun, to say the least. And low gravity is a must as well.
