He wanted to be an artist, but his enrollment in whatever academy he had his eyes set on rejected him, so he turned to public office.

The film "The Rise Of Evil" is a semi-decent insight into Hitler's early life, leading up to and into the Nazi Reich.

Eventually, after gaining some strength in the Nazi party he surrounded a pub with Germany's leaders inside an announced himself as the new leader of Germany. They laughed, and he was arrested; I think he got like a year in prison or something where he wrote Mein Kampf.

He did surround a pub, but it wasn't with Germany's leaders. I think it was just the leaders of Bavaria that he attempted to bring round to his point of view before he began the Munich Putsch (Protest type thing). The leaders of Bavaria had only agreed to support him so he'd leave them alone, so the protest failed and Hitler was arrested, he wrote "Mein Kampf" while he was in prison.

After a while he began to gain more political support as he was convincing people to blame the Jews and other minorities for all of Germany's problems, until he became powerful enough that he could get away with anything and eventually grew to the point where he could control whatever he wanted.

The lower social classes in particular were persuaded by his anti-Semitic propaganda. After years of attempting to gain majority power in the Reichstag, as Hitler planned to destroy the Weimar Republic from the inside out, he finally gained the majority of seats and took power.

Yesterday, I was out with my girlfriend and her red-headed friend and as I was walking with them to my girlfriend's house, we saw a can of spray paint. My girlfriend wanted to get back at some other girl who had angered her, so she got a lighter and made a makeshift flame-thrower with the lighter and the can of spray paint and used it on this other girl's car. She then spray painted "(The girl's name) is a bitchy whore, heart SOS" (SomeOne Special).

Suddenly, I stepped on a board with a nail in it, which stabs me in the foot causing me to yell "Fuck!"; I sat down to take my shoe off and check if I was bleeding, but I'm not. So, I kiss my girlfriend goodbye and give her red-headed friend a hug, then I limped home and smoked a "Kools XL" cigarette.

When my parents got home, I told them I couldn't go to school tomorrow and showed them my foot. I went to sleep later that day and when I woke up in the morning, my heel was swollen like a tennis ball; I'm not soaking my foot in hydrogen peroxide and using crutches until about 75 minutes from now, when I'll be going to the doctor's to see if I'll need surgery, casts or some other treatment.

I'm feeling like shit and would like you to please post your opinions on these events.

Translated into understandable language.

However, I'm looking at new computers now with 4-6GB Ram and 2.7GHZ processors. When I'm looking for a computer to run games really good I know the games now need 1-2GB of ram, and obviously these computers meet that. So do i want to have a high processor or will 2.6-2.9 due?
Most of those computers that say 2.7ghz are dual core, which means that it's more like 5.4ghz. Not exactly, but it will still be way faster than your old PC.

Although, you don't need more than 6gb of ram for anything. Just get 4gb at 1066mhz FSB, and it will max out any game with a proper graphics card.

Silly, silly person. A 2.7Ghz dual core is NOT like a 5.4Ghz single core. It just means you can process two process threads at the same time, one per core, at a speed of 2.7Ghz

Also, RAM speed is not that important, I believe. However, a 32-bit PC (most common kind) can only handle 4Gb maximum, though it will only use around 3.5Gb. A 64-bit PC (less common) can use more than 4Gb RAM, but unless you are regularly doing RAM intensive things like video editing, etc, you won't need more than 2-3Gb at most.

I wear jeans, t-shirts and shorts almost exclusively.

My T-shirts are generally white, black, blue, grey, cream or green.
My jeans are generally blue (duh!).
My shorts are kind of like Bermuda shorts and are a similar colour, beige-y. Unless they're swimming shorts, I've got a lot of colours of them including black, blue, green and with various designs on them.

At first it was all great, easy to set up, a lot of money saved, etc. until I started using it on Xbox Live. I am constantly disconnecting at least once every 2-3 games, and the modem itself will reset multiple times a day (BT would do this once every few days).

Anyone else on TalkTalk having similar problems?

TalkTalk is perfectly fine for me. Maybe it's just your location.

I can have my brother and dad playing on their Xboxes and still play CSS on my PC with no lag whatsoever. My brother and dad get minor lag if I start uploading and downloading stuff from my clan servers via FTP, but it's not enough to force them to drop out of the game.

I had a couple of days without a constant connection a few weeks ago, but I think it was just due to maintenance and I haven't had any problems before, or since then.

Topic: Someone explain processor speed.

Posted: 11/25/09 02:08 PM

Forum: General

2.5Ghz is the clock speed of the core. This means the processor performs 2,500,000,000 (2 billion, 500 million) clock cycles per second.

However, a 2.5Ghz dual core processor does not function the same as a 5Ghz single core processor. You can still only process items at 2.5Ghz, but the second core means you are able to run two process threads at once. You can set affinity for processes through Window Task Manager, by going to your process list and click "Set Affinity", then choosing the processors that process can run on.

This means that if you were to run a program on only a single core and another program on the second core, then if one core was to halt, the other program would not be similarly halted and your computer would still function.

TL;DR - You can't process faster, you can just process two (or more, depending on how many processor cores you have) things at once.

At home in England, I tend to just drink tap water. I buy six packs of bottled water every month or so, which I refill after I've drunk them and just re-use them over the course of the month.

However, my house in Spain is up in the mountains and the tap water out there isn't too great. It has a kind of metallic taste and is sometimes grey-ish to brown-ish, so we buy the big 4L bottles of water so we have clean water to drink.

Yeaaahhh not really. Especially if you have lots of different genres in the mix. Better off making a playlist or several of a few dozen songs each. I have 'only' 7400 songs in my library, and when I use shuffle I end up skipping lots of songs cuz I'm not in that type of mood. I can't imagine how many unhappy people you'd have in a party with 85,000+ songs on random.

Well, I'll often only open up half, for that reason, but my laptop sits on the side with Winamp open and I don't mind if anyone uses it to change a song. Happens quite a bit, in fact.

I mean, I've got 500 or so songs I listen to personally, which is just over a day in total, but having a huge variety makes it good for any and every occasion.
