You got to learn to love and appreciate low polygon and low res textures, they have a nice aesthetic to enjoy. It's great to see the artists make use of what they had available and create interesting solutions to them.

I wouldn't bother putting up sketches and stuff, just the things you want people to see. The things that you think are nice, no point just presenting so many simple images that it drowns out your better ones.

Woah nelly someone needs to try out this lurking business for a bit.

Halo has really only been good for me at a mates house where we can just dick about with it on the Xbox. I don't really care for it otherwise.

The final boss fight in Psychonauts.
Prior to it I was about to go smash my controller in rage at how stupidly frustrating the obstacle course could be and then I expect it to have been there to warm me up. Fully pumped and all to take on this bad mofo and all he ends up being one of the easiest segments of the game.

I render a transparent PNG for every frame and then just compile them in Flash. Rather tedious and can bring forth a large file size but it works out pretty good with smaller projects.

I hope that adobe brings back the stuff that makes you feel acomplished when you make a movie. Like, oh I don't know... animation?Hard work? I already miss feeling special for making a good animation.

You know making motion does not mean you feel accomplished. You can easily put hours into a form of motion with frame by frame and realise it is shit. These tools just make the job easier, get over it. Animation is about skill not the tools given, any animator worth their weight in salt can produce something with frames, tweens, bones and physics. The physics do not do it all for you and I must say that in software physics engines are not the most reliable things.

Same considering its banned in australia. Damn Classification thing. it got banned in australia for its dismember ment and decapitation...umm excuse me look at God of war 3! You kill gods! and decapitate many many things.Hopefully i can get a copy

As I say in every second thread, that issue is irrelevant. L4D2 has been allowed classification in Australia, it is no longer banned. It's just toned down and apparently Gabe has plans to release a patch that unlocks the gore.

Uniforms do not really make a difference if you ask me. Fitting in socially is not about clothes, it is about your character. They do not change your study habits either, you wear clothes and that's just about that.

Decompilers are alright. I use them from time to time to look at how an animator works and to see their setup.
It's interesting. I don't actually steal from decompiled flashes, just use them as a reference.

Like I said, it can aid heavily with colonisation.
Along with this it can help with the understanding of the universe. I mean that is the job of a scientist.

If you are implying that NASA is under the impression that blowing up something on the moon will magically create water then you are a fool.
They are making a crater within the moon that will release any possible deposits of water.

A bomb creates an explosion of fire and for fire to exist, there needs to be oxygen. If I'm not mistaken, there's no oxygen on the moon.

I don't know, I'm probably completely wrong on this subject.

Bombs are not about fire, they are about force. You can blow up a bomb under water which in essence has no ready to use oxygen for the fire.

At 10/10/09 01:54 AM, Hawdcore wrote: I still dont get why the hell we even need more water

And I dont even get how the hell there going to collect the water

Well it is not that we need water but in the even we wanted to colonise the moon that water would be nice to have available?
It also means that materials such as concrete can be made using the rescources that exist upon the moon, this saves a lot of time, energy and resources that would otherwise be used to send water to the moon.
And it's quite obvious that they would have a satellite collect the samples that follow the blast, otherwise it would just be silly.

Sweet. What'll it be about?

I find it hard to explain what the actual content will be.
They are both going to be set to songs.
One is more of my reaction and interpretation of the song In Heat by HEALTH.
The other is a bit of a story I've come up with that just so happens to go incredibly well with the song Festival by Sigur Ros.
So I'm trying to focus on getting timing and pacing done good here along with the mood and actions/motions of the characters within the animations.
