Shrooms, if you're looking for a trip, tend to be much safer than other hallucinogens such as LSD, since it's not synthetic. The danger is either going on a bad trip (shouldn't mess with hallucinogens if you're not in a sound state of mind) or picking the wrong mushrooms and getting the shits for a week. To physically overdose on shrooms you would need to eat about half your bodyweight, and by that time you would be out of your fucking mind anyway. Mentally it's a lot easier to OD, but you should know your limits when experimenting with such things.

I've never really been socially inhibited, only ocasionally where I've felt my life was stuck in a rut. I prescribe exercise and healthy eating. Getting in shape really ups your confidence, and sharpens your mind. It's hard work but it's worth it, and I've personally found it gets rid of that feeling of being horribly self aware in social situations.
