It's TDP is also 220w, which is fucking insane. To compare, most Intel Core i7 Extreme processors TDP is 130w.
Also, you should try to get the 4670k. Spend some cash to get less TDP, less pwoer consumption, better IPC. The only real advantage the FX has now is 8 "cores" that help with multitasking (though if you need 8 cores to multitask, shit...) and multithreaded apps.
No matter how much people deny it, it is closer to happening than most of us think. I mean, if you consider that you can put i7s and GTX 680s in mITX cases, then surely the desktop is going to have miniturization.

I got a lot of bang for my buck for Minecraft, considering how I have only paid 22 bucks for it. Sure singleplayer survival gets boring quick, but multiplayer can be a fucking blast. Most people think Minecraft has a shit community, but all of kids and the immature ones are usually avoided by playing a server where the whitelist requires some effort.
You have creative freebuilds, survival freebuilds, PvP servers (Heavily modified or not), prison, drug/thug life servers, and so on. You can also do a MindCrack/ForgeCraft like server and just play with a few friends. Its really hard to get bored from multiplayer if you know how to look for servers.
Then there are always mods, which can be enjoyed on singleplayer or multiplayer. Playing them on multiplayer adds a ton to the fun value. FTB/Tekkit servers are really popular nowadays.

The Pentium can be bumped up to an FX6300 or the GPU can go up to an 7770 easily for the $500 price range.
The TFLOP output of the Xbox One (1.23) is much closer to an underclocked 7770 (1.28 normally) or an overclocked 7750 (.819 normally).

Its only really an 7770, and saying that its an 7790 is really a misnomer (that I only just caught. Shame on me). But then again, the name of the 7790 is a misnomer too because it implies better performance when it just has extra memory.
The 7790 came out March of last year. The 7770 was released in February 2012.
Funny you say that. I know the 7770 came out around then, but I read up on an article that stated that the 7790 only really came out because the XBOX 1 "has" it.

PS4's hardware advantage.
The XBOX 1 has better graphics bandwidth than the PS4, which closes the gap by a little. It's no lie that the PS4 is faster, but the real question is if that transfers to a graphics advantage that is noticeable. I can recall reading from somewhere that the speed difference is around 7%. In that case, the PS4 can only really afford texture details that is marginally better than the XBOX 1's. I doubt that it will be like the PS4 would run BF3 as if it was on Ultra, MSAA x4 and AF x8 and the XBOX 1 being on High, MSAA x2 and AF at x8 (all on 1080p btw).
