Hey bro, welcome to video encoding. This thing does an amazing job converting at the pace it does.

Couldn't agree more. This is most likely the best free swf converter on the web.

Works beautifully, but it takes alot of time and uses alot of cpu to convert them and I can't seem to get a proper audio output either on the video files either, but the video output looks amazing! Definitely in pair with swf quality. Hopefully Mike will get some of these issues sorted out and also add some more video output formats (f4v, mkv, 3gp)
Until then, I'm sticking with my original swf converter.

Great job, Mike

or maybe can you tell me which converter you guys use or some converter you know is good?

Tx

I use this software to convert swf to video format.
Conversion takes about 5min or less. (Depending on the movies length, of course)
Doesn't mess with vcam either.

Never heard of using As3 to get quality gif animations. I think there's probably some good 'swf to gif' conversion software out there for this, though.
I have had no luck finding such software for free.
The png idea sounds fine and I know I can export the current frame I'm on as a png but not the whole movie as a sequence of pngs. Do you know if this can be done in CS3?

Response to: Help converting .swf to .mov Posted August 2nd, 2012 in Animation

I would recommend getting Winavi's 'All-In-One' Converter
(Google it)

It can convert swf to any format (avi,mp4,mov,etc) without any vcam problems. There's a free trial on their website, I think.

Works great for me. Give it a shot.

Response to: Motion Tween problem Posted July 29th, 2012 in Animation

At 7/29/12 09:25 AM, Nitro24 wrote: I'm trying to animate a skeleton type character using motion tweening but I've got one big problem standing in my way. Let's say I'm animating the arm of a character by creating keyframes in the motion tween and it's been going well for 200+ frames. On frame 230 I create one more keyframe and move the arm once more but this time the whole animation gets messed up and when I play the whole thing I notice that the arm is now moving on a totally random path. Does anyone know how to prevent my one keyframe from ruining the whole animation?

Hopefully this makes sense to other Flash users out there.

Go check if there is more than one symbol on the frame. If there's more than one symbol, Flash will create a new symbol, and flash can't tween two different symbols.
