trust me, i don't know you, but i bet a hundred dollars that you never even heard of the ramones prior to joey's death several years ago, or the clash either, it was then that people began to recognize what should have been seen a long time ago. Anyway, the way i see it we are re-entering an early-60's era rend of music, mindless, souless pop that appeals to "rebelious" youths and record company execs. However, there is hope, i forcast that in the next 5-10 years, we'll be seeing more originality, and artistry in music. It will arive first in underground bars, singular artists making home recordings, a new beat generation giving way to a new love/freak scene. I can't prove it, but history repeats itself.
