You do know that NG is not supposed to be an uptight kind of place, whereas you try to ruin the fun of others just because your nostalgia blinds your judgement. Granted, there are some assholes in NG, {I won't name any}, but almost any forum will have trollers and asswipes that stir up bullshit for the lulz, what did you really expect?

*Potential Spoiler Alert*
You would think so, but Mao could read his mind and before he could press down on the switch, Mao would have more than likely iced both Lelouch and Nunnally with a bullet and a bomb, respectfully.
Speaking of spoilers, I may have mention a spoiler in my previous post, so I apologize in advance if I did spoil anything around the middle of R2.
Back to the subject at hand, I am currently watching more 70's, 80s, and early 90s anime, trying to understand the roots of modern anime and so on. Though from time to time, I do watch some of today's anime when I get the chance, I have seen Kurokami, and I thought was disappointing, considering a lot of my friends recommended it. I haven't seen DtB, but I suppose I should now that someone spilled the beans, so to speak.

Anyway, was reading some info on Darren McFadden and why he runs like such a little girl when there is contact involved....apparently he averaged the 2nd-most YPC after first contact (3.4, along with Jamaal Charles of KC), but dropped into the 38th spot (out of 61 backs) at 2.4 YPC after contact.
I will never back down front my assessment of him as a quality satellite/C-O-P back in the mold of a smaller Reggie Bush, and it seems to just be becoming more and more obvious to everyone but those within the Raiders' front office.
Just give Michael Bush the fucking ball on 1st and 2nd downs and let Run DMC take 3rd downs, and there would be no problems. Bush is the better back in our system, he's stronger, can take a hit better, can block better....*sigh*
In theory, that would work for the Raiders, but knowing them over the last few years, they generally do things that make a lot of people scratching their heads, although everyone probably knew that by now.
Looking in their division, the Chargers are far and away the best team, but the Raiders are catching up with them, and it is possible for them to finish with a winning record, and even have an outside shot of getting a wild card berth, though that certainly is a stretch.
The NFL is the biggest sports league by far, but it always helps them to have the Raiders in contention, because they are that polarizing force where people like them for their tough, outside the norm ways of doing things, or hate them because of whatever reason.

whatever helps you sleep at night,
I didn't like the fact that a lot of people were horribly mutated and all that, but IMO, it had to be done. Sometimes, people have to do bad things to other men, so that we can sleep peacefully at night.
Reality check here, the u.s. dropped two bombs killing hundreds of thousands of people, and causing defects and mutations in later generations as well . This is not a defensible action , and to defend this in any way is to encourage further crimes against humanity.
Back in 1945, people didn't know that mutations would affect the Japanese at all. Surely, if they would see the mutations before the bomb dropped, they would have at least thought about it.
As I have stated in a previous post, the "rules" of warfare was pretty much thrown out the window, therefore, the atomic bombing was the only realistic option. I don't like as much as you do, thedo12, but the Japanese more than likely weren't going to surrender, and we had to end the most destructive war in human history ASAP.
There is no real age limit on NG, so 12 and 13 year olds can generally do he/she wants. Of course maturity of a lot of them is a whole different story, considering they like to cuss like a sailor, and clog the forums with random misspelled posts in an act of trying to be funny.

I agree big time, although by R2, It felt like Charles was trying too hard to be Kratos, what with "killing God" and all that. Not to mention, It seemed like everyone was armed with super-powerful knightmares, which really diluted some of the tactics into borderline abuse of upgrades, and saved at the last second moments.
It had interesting characters and enough depth to work your brain without being overbearing.
Sometimes, you kinda feel sorry for most of the characters on the rebel side and even on the Britannian side as well, considering oppression and war is everywhere for the Japanese, and a maniac leading the Brits.
It's an anime that manages to make the protagonist actually smart without being unlikable.
:I agree with that also, Lelouch is good guy, even if he is a smug jerk, and everyone wanted him dead by the end.
Plus the mech combat is really good
It really should have been the Lancelot, Guren mkII, and maybe the Shinkiro in the case of the advanced knightmares. As I said before, it sorta diluted the tactics to who has the biggest gun or the best upgrades on the mech. It felt like the other guys in the other knightmares were either target practice or borderline kamakaze pilots.
Still loved the show, though.
I remembered someone named Jake "The Fake" Seesholtz. He got that nickname because he talked a lot of shit about having a lot of girlfriends and being smarter than Einstein, when in reality he never had a date in his life and his best GPA was around 1.75. He also claimed he was a martial artist and he was going to the UFC after high school, even though he never heard of UFC until his senior year.

Forget the Bruins, the damn choke artists. Though I don't really care about the Bruins in the first place since I am a Red Wings fan.
I'm sure all of the New York fans are giddy with happiness now considering Boston sports{except the Celtics} are going down the crapper, and New York teams are in championship contention.
2007 Giants vs. Pats in SB 42
2009 Jets making it to the Conference Finals, {A rare achievement in Jets history}
2009 Yankess winning it all {Wheather or not they buy championships is debateable}
BTW, The Blackhawks are going to win the Stanley Cup this year, considering the Wingers are out of it.
As I have stated before, there was no way Japan was going to surrender before the bombs dropped, even though they have no navy, very little, if any aircraft and an army that are war weary and poorly equipped. They had too much pride in themselves to give up, and even if the Allies did invade Japan, the Japanese were more than likely to throw everything and the kitchen sink at them so to speak, and if that failed, they were ready for mass suicides, wiping out the popluation from the so called "American Hordes" according to Tojo.
In a weird way, the A-bombs saved the Japanese people from themsevles, for if not for the bombing, we more than likely not be able to recognise them they way we do today.

It wouldn't be so bad if the pacing is so goddamn slow. In Episode 2, Kaito is debating on why he should kill an alien that chopped up 4 or 5 people and is just standing there like some deadhead. The little standoff took so long, I'd went out, made some sandwiches, and when I came back, Kaito was crying a river and the alien was still standing there, doing nothing.
The manga is clearly superior, the anime is a gory, boob-filled train wreck.

The 2008 Celtics would have something to say about that, or maybe the Bruins.
People have different meanings for mainstream, there are no real universal scale of mainstream, nor is mainstream is as bad as a lot of people complain about. Although a lot of it is generally crap, some of it is really not that bad, especially when a lot of Newgrounders are fans of a "mainstream" band, movie, show, etc.
A martial arts/combat themed channel would be nice.
MMA in the morning
Extreme Wrestling around noon
Martial Arts themed anime around evening
and Deathwatch after dark.
And if there is any time left, air reruns of Deadliest Warrior or boxing matches with Mike Tyson.

I have virtually no knowledge of either of them, so this is literally for me, a toss up. If I had to choose one, it would be the Jaguar over the Zande.
As for the Capone vs. James fight, Although I said Capone would win, I never really expected that Capone's only gun is the Thompson, while Jesse James had the Winchester and the revolvers. All and all, I wasn't really surprised James won, but I expected Capone to win because of the automatic guns.

I'm torn on this issue, part of me says that this guy isn't worth the trouble, considering what he did in the past, And adding another player with a team of questionable reputations makes me concerned. On the other side of the coin, Teams like the Raiders of the past, and the Cowboys took a lot of chances on players who were talented, but not always on the straight and narrow path, so to speak, and they turn out pretty good for themselves.
At least I'm glad that Mike Brown is at least spending time and money on potential free agents, whereas in the past, he would do no such thing.

It's produced by Microsoft Game Studios, so it will be on the 360, and possibly on the PC. If you want to play the GOW series, better get a 360.
As for the game, it looks awesome, though it seems to remind me somewhat of Fallout 3. Hopefully the single-player will be longer than the last 2 campaigns.
Considering how long the war was, Truman did not wanted to carry on the fight much longer, especially when Germany already surrendered in May 1945. Japan , even in a crippled state they were in, were still in the fight and not ready to give up. Many people in Truman's inner circle were convincing him to use the bomb against Japan and end the war, or risk impeachment.
The atomic was certainly justified, because a land invasion would have taken millions of lives on both sides, and a few years to fully end the war. Not to mention, the Soviets would've gotten a piece of war-ravaged Japan and split them up like they did with Germany. Not only the bombs ended Japan's rampage, it showed the Soviets that we were serious in the international political field.
If Nazi Germany or even if Tojo completed their nuclear device earlier, they would have certainly used it against us, and the war would've turned out differently.
And to those that think that it was cold-blooded to kill civilians in the A-bomb, forgot to remember this is war, the rulebook was tossed out the proverbial window when Nazi Germany went through Poland in '39 and Japan sucker punched the U.S. two years later, which also killed civilians. in WW2, everyone was fair game, including civilians.

The key in this argument is that this is alleged, though they seem to get more incriminating with every day. That said, if the Saints win a lot of games, everything will be forgotten. That's the way it works in NFL, or in any other league for that matter.

but that's something for a different thread.Anyway, I think the DS is better because of its large library of games.
While it's true the DS has a huge library of games, if you look at the games however, nearly 80% of the games are considered shovelware. And it seems in the American DS library of games, we got the short end of the stick compared to Japan.
Many of which are very good, dont crash if you tap the back, and doesn't take forever to load, since they're not discs.
The main reason why it takes a long time to load on the PSP is because they have a lot more things on the UMDs than a DS cartrige. As for the crashing thing, I don't really remember ever my PSP crashing when I tapped on the back.
I don't totally hate the PSP though, I like the PSP's design and LittleBigPlanet PSP, even though it's a broken piece of shit, is a better game than all the other shit on the PSP.
Now this is were I have to disagree here, a lot of the games on the PSP are reviewed higher than DS games, Examples are:
God of War: Chains of Olympus
Resistance: Retrubution
Metal Gear Ac!d 1 and 2
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite etc.
Granted, a large amount of these games are either PS family exclusives or are ports of successful PS2 and PS3 titles, but you seemed to generalized the PSP as a overpowered system with bad games and useless bells and whistles. And yes, I am well aware that the DS has some good games too, just not as many as the PSP IMO.
Considering Pokemon is from Japan, I would have guessed more into the lines of Pikachus stuffed with bombs, yell Banzai!!!, and blow themselves up on an enemy warship or something like that; and maybe Jigglypuffs with bayonets charging at someone, also yelling Banzai!!!
Christianity is the biggest religion in the U.S, and since there is freedom of speech in this country, that means anything can be used for satire/parodies. there's plenty of good developers, these just aren't any of them
Clearly you're either a failure as a troll, or are Bobby Kotick's ginger cousin. In either circumstance, I will stick to the high road from now on and address the gaming companies as is.
Activision: The are currently the worst because now Bobby Kotick {or kock dick if you prefer}, screwed around with IW for too long and now, Jason West and Vince Zampella [sp?] are now rumored to work with either EA or and independant game company, and are currently sueing Activision.
Bethesda: A pretty good company, the only thing I have against them is Rouge Warrior, and I rather not go into more detail about that train wreck of a game.
Bioware: EA's RPG team. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are awesome games, even though i'm not big on RPG's to begin with.
Blizzard: The only game I enjoyed from them is Rock and Roll Racing from the SNES/Genesis days, other than that, I don't give two shits and a fuck about WoW.
Capcom: Not really much to say, their track record speaks for itself.
EA: They used to be the most hated game company, now they're not so bad. The Madden series seems to piss a lot of people off for little reason other than the fact that it's released every year with roster updates and cosmetic changes. Instead of blaming this all on EA, people should notice that the NFL handed them the license to make a football game with the team names, players, etc.
Konami: Haven't heard much from them, but like Capcom, their track record can speak for itself.
Lucasarts: Basically they are the Star Wars development team, some of them were good, others were crap.
Namco: It's Namco Bandai now in case you were wondering. Like Lucasarts, they best known work {besides Tekken}, is the Gundam series, and like the Star wars games, some of them are great, others were average to crap.
Rockstar: Maybe my favorite American game company, other than THQ. The GTA series doesn't really need any explanation in the annals of modern videogames, although GTA4 was a bit of a dissapointment compared to San Andreas or even Vice City.
Ubisoft: They're okay, Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 were beastly, and the Sam Fisher series kicks ass, but they seem to love Naruto a lot, {ay yi yi.} To be fair, the games are pretty good, but I dont' really care for Naruto that much.
Valve: Left 4 Dead, Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike, basically you either love them or hate them.
Their is one company that is worse than any of them, and that is Crave entertainment. Every game they have made, It is generally shit. I would be surprised if they still in business, considering they had the UFC license early on, and their games were so godawful, no one would even sell the damn games.

The Shaolins modern day training is just the same as it was way back when.
Can't really disagree with that, although the chinese government certainly use them as a tourist trap than anything else.
The Maoris training suffered from lack of war
Not really, they fought among themselves all the time, but when the British Empire came in the 1900s, they had bolt-action rifles, early machine guns and the like, and the Maoris didn't have a chance in Hell.
Moving on, on the next show, who is going to win, Capone or Jesse James? I got Capone winning easily.
