Only a nation of idiots would elect an idiot president, twice no less.
And I suppose Obama isn't making us really that much smarter.
Probably why I'm voting Libertarian next election.

Persian immortal v.s. Celt-Wrong. Bullshit wrong. My Irish homeboy had 2 up close weapons and he still lost.
It makes me wonder how the immortal won, even if the celts didn't have any armor, all the Persian weaponry couldn't stop the 300 spartans until they lost around 200,000 or so men. I know that may be a little myopic, considering they did conquer the Middle East at the time, but still...
So i am currently 3-5. Not a good season this year.
I'm hoping the CIA wins against the KGB, time to get some payback!
I'm so fuckin' English, everytime Manchester United or Arsenal loses, we start a riot in the stands after having around six or seven pints of lager.
Not to mention, having a history of treating Scots and especially the Irish like shite. No wonder William Wallace kicked some English ass, and 700 years later, the IRA did the exact same thing too.
But, you did spread the English lanugage and free markets all over the known world, so I guess those sorta cancels out soccer riots and mistreatment of the Scottish and Irish.

I'll agree on that, although the only ones I played was 2, 3, and 4.
Then came Final Fantasy 7, and now the games are about angsty teens who are destined to kill some armored emo that wants to engulf the world in a cloud of darkness because he's evil.
Totally, especially with FF7, where they are milking it like there's no tommorow.
I think we all know what happens,
Cloud arrives in Midgar
Cloud joins with a eco-terrorist group, AVALANCHE {sp?}
He meets Aeris
Sephiroth comes in and kills Aeris
Cloud gets pissy, kills Sephiroth and puts Aeris in the sea, The end!
I basically summed up FF7 in 6 sentances, so why in the holy hell is there a movie, a CGI and even an anime adaptation to this crazy crap? I may be a captialist at heart, but even I know when something is milked beyond its worth, and FF7 is public enemy number one when it comes to milking.
The only RPGs I liked from Square are FF 2, 3, 4, Chrono Trigger and Xenogears, And last time I checked, there was no anime or CGI adaptations for them, {besides the anime clips in the games from CT and Xeno.} Which IMO is really a shame, considering they do have better storylines and characters than 7. But, then again, everyone seems to like a cheesy-ass love triangle between a spiky haired emo/weirdo with a giant stick, a white haired pretty boy with issues, and a flower girl caught up in the middle, so to speak.
The blame is shared by both Obama and BP.
BP: They took this long for them to do anything, and now they are the public pariah, and Obama hasn't reacted fast enough to this disaster. I don't know why would people continue to support BP, especially when they should have monitored one of their oil rigs for damage beforehand. I'm sure that scientist in the BP commerical is vomiting with rage right now.
Obama: This is an easy call right here, he's done jack shit until it was too late. You would think he would do something when it first mentioned, but then again, Bush didn't really do anything about Katrina until it was too late, but these are 2 different situations.
And speaking of Bush, {and Cheney}, I'll bet that they are gushing with joy when they saw the gulf turn into oil.

Not where I lived, In my school they were around 10 or 20 guys out of 600 or so, who knew what anime was, much less watch it as much as I do, and I generally stood away far away as possible from them, considering all they really talk about is Naruto.
Sega should stick to be a 3rd party developer and not enter into this "motion control" crap like everyone else seems to be doing now.
It's already oversaturated enough as is, do we really need another one that badly?

They are, but if you compare the teams, The '85 Bears is considered to have the best defense in History, {I expect Ravens fans to disagree} and one of, if not the best RB in history in Walter Payton. And yes, I am aware that Emmitt Smith broke Payton's rushing record in '96 or '97 {don't really remember}, but Walter Payton meant more to his team than Emmitt, considering the Cowboys did have Aikman and Irvin too.
Speaking of elite QBs and WRs, Joe Montana has 4 Super Bowls, 3 SB MVPS, and 2 RS MVPs to his credit, along with the greatest WR by far in Jerry Rice, and with Steve Young on the team, waiting in the wings when Montana left for KC. Not to mention, having an underrated defense led by Ronnie Lott, they basically curbstomped Miami in '85, Denver in '89 and San Diego in '94, and barely squeaked by my Bengals twice in the 80s.
Long story short, The Cowboys of the 90s were great teams, but if you compare them to the '85 Bears or especially the 49ers of the 80s and '94, The Cowboys can't really hold a candle to them IMO. Plus they beat on the Bills which pretty much gave up once they started to fall apart in SB 27 and 28, thus giving them the infamous name of:
Boy
I
Love
Losing
Super bowls
Sorry if I just poured more salt into the proverbial wound.
The only one I got to try was Typhoon flavor, and I thought it was pretty good, but the aftertaste was pretty bitter in a fruit punch kind of way.

I'm sure the '85 Bears and the Niners in the 80s would disagree.
I don't blame them for losing, but I still resent the fact.
What makes it worse for the Bills is that they still have never really recovered from this. 1 Divisional title after '95 {1999} and no winning season since, not to mention, no wins against the Patriots since 2003 and QBs who are utter crap, and so on.
But, as Herm Edwards once said, "You play to win to the game." It isn't enough to get there, you gotta win it.

I highly doubt it, considering the vast majority of NGers are barely teenagers and most of the time, they are generally the ones that spread random bullshit to anyone famous.
2. Are you a bit more respectful towards 4Chan due to doing something for a good cause?
4chan is so full of crap, although some of their stuff is pretty funny. If there is anything negative in the media, chances are they're going to make a retarded joke out of it.
From what I've seen, it's basically feels like a similar rehash to Inyuasha, but without the "WIND SCAR" and other stupid shit like that. Just what Adult swim needs, another dragged out shonen with mystical powers and a 2-bit "guy is a stalker, and a showoff" storyline, I would like for them to get something new, and not just another shonen anime.
Generally, that majority of young people and teenagers don't really give a damn about politics, it's not like they are talking about tax management and trade issues with their friends, rather they talk about American Idol, or their tricked out whips, etc.
Personally, I would have raised the voting age to 21 and the drinking age to 18, but hell no, that makes too much sense for our government, by and by, that shit won't fly. And don't give the old "our veterans fight and die for your right to vote" excuse, if I remember correctly, our veterans also fought and died to keep our government from being corrupt and all too powerful, but I digress.
Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!
Apprently the NCC is trying their hardest to limit our freedom of speech in one of the most ironic ways, by spreading their words into our heads and mouths.

The problem with the Wii is the 3rd party games, are total shit, with the exceptions of Capcom, Sega and Suda 51. The motion control has potential, but it won't replace the controller anytime soon.
If Nintendo want to be back on top like they did in the 80s and early 90s, they should remember the Seal of Quality sticker, and not slap that thing on shovelware, but on something decent for a change.
If not, then stick with the DS and work from there.
LOL at your little pissant article. You should actully be proud that the Flyers made it as far as they did, considering they were the worst team early in the season, and then turned it around and got to the playoffs on the last day and on a shootout goal, no less.
And besides, you still have the 2008 Phillies world title to enjoy, and just be glad you're not a Cleveland sports fan, possibly the most delusional, and retarded group of 17 fans in the history of sport.

Awesome, I haven't watched Hnk in a long time, and I didn't particularly cared for the Streamline dub that I watched last time.
As for the game, It sucks that it's a PS3 exclusive in the US, considering I have a 360. And speaking of the 360, why are their no anime games for the 360, {besides Naruto and Gundam}? I know the 360 is an American game system, but still, we need some anime games for the 360, a general change of pace from a marathon of playing GOW and SSF4.

If another country had the same problem, the US would be damn sure they'd fix the problem first.Which begs the question, should Central America intercede on the grounds that they rely on the Gulf as well?
A lot of the Central American countries are quite a distance from the spill, But I'll bet that Mexico would have a lot to say about this. And I'm sure a lot of other countries in Central America would too, but the most they would have to give would be a few cleanup teams, considering most of that region is poor compared to Mexico.
If the oil spill spreads to the Atlantic, like many people are predicting, It would make logical sense
that The Bahamas and even Cuba to intercede in some small way, considering it could spread to their beaches too, and no one likes oily crude tar on a pristene beach.
The guys at BP are probably thinking, why the hell do we have that sign posted there?, They should have put it on our rigs beforehand.
BP+Gulf Coast=Epic Facepalm.
He isn't as bad as the last one, but Obama isn't really wowing me over here. A lot of his policies are either not working or never got off the ground, even with a democratic supermajority in the House and Senate.
He would probably fare better as a sports analyst on ESPN or FSN, than leading a country that is barely recovering from its Bushy tailspin.

Politics.
Politicians have a habit of making things illegal just so they can look like they're fighting for something. They try to make people believe they made such and such illegal because it created a lot of crimes and because if it is legal the US will turn into Sodom and Gomorrah.
That is exactly what I was thinking of, a war against something taboo like drugs or porn really does help mask political bullshit, until it turns out to be an even bigger failure.
Take the War on Drugs for example, In 1971, a crazy motherfucker named Richard Nixon declared another war to cover up the bullshit of the Vietnam War. Things really picked up in the 1980's when Nancy Reagan declared a holy war against drugs, with her "Just say no" and celebs making tools of themselves saying drugs are bad and what not. And instead of spending money on defending ourselves from Brezhnev and Khomeini and repairing our infrastucture, billions and billons of our taxpayer dollars are used to arrest and dehumanize Johnny Cokehead and Petie Potsmoker just for doing drugs and nothing else.
America seems to love a war, wheather it's thousands of miles away in a 3rd world nation, or right in the middle of downtown Chicago.
Hokuto No Ken>Dragon Ball Z>Naruto.
Any Questions?
I also recommend Code Geass, Outlaw Star, Tokyo Godfathers and Eyeshield 21.

If they are, I think they chose the correct path with not giving anybody accents. I hate 'English with an accent' as a tool for showing people are speaking in a foreign language.
It's just really annoying.
If people are speaking their own language, they should be speaking in their own accent. They aren't speaking it with a foreign accent. So if it's translated into English, it should be spoken with an accent native to an English speaker.
You do have some points, but if you look at some of the other dubs like Hellsing, Black Lagoon or Baccano, many of the VAs do have an accent to their respective characters, {i.e Alexander Anderson has a Scots-Irish accent, or the mobsters in Baccano having a New York accent} which for me makes it a little more believable and a little more accurate to the story and setting. Obviously in Japan, they would be in Japanese with no foriegn accents, now correct me if I am wrong here, but I haven't heard anyone speak Japanese with a British, Irish or any other accent, with the probable exception of a Korean accent.
The main reason for this is, is because English is spoked in a large amount of the world, whereas Japanese is only widely spoken in Japan, and a few other places. Because of this, there are a lot of dialects to the English language, and if the character in an anime is from a country other than Japan or America, It would just seem more natural for them to have an accent than have one with none. {that's not to say a Japanese accent hasn't been done before, but a lot of directors don't really consider it.}
At the end of the day, it is really up to the original directors of the anime to choose the best VAs for the characters, And granted, some of them who try to speak with a foriegn accent isn't exactly the best sounding, but as I have said before, it makes it more natural and believable to a character, than say if a Japanese character having a Boston accent in an English dub.
The episodes with the Star Wars refernces I thought was okay, other than those, It was generally shite. What makes it worse is, I have to watch this crap with my nephews, instead of something halfway decent.

This better be good, I'd rather not watch some pretentious garbage.
You can't really go wrong with this one, although in the dub, it seems like everyone is able to speak English without a German or even a Czech accent, it just feels weird to me, considering it does take place in Germany and Czechslovakia. Then again, in the original {Japanese} dub, there was no visable accent with any of the characters, so they wanted to be like that in the english dub.
As for the manga, I haven't read it yet, but you should probably read it first before watching the anime.

You are on the wrong thread here, This is about the oil spill in the gulf, not about Isreal's little boat fuckup.
Back to the subject at hand, President Obama is currently making his 3rd trip to the gulf and seeing the damage firsthand, again. At least he did see the disaster on foot, compared to Bush who was riding in a helicopter high above New Orleans. Granted, these are two different types of disasters in the gulf, but still, it shows that Obama still has some people's hearts and minds, even if he is only talking tough.
Right now, BP has put a cap on the cracked well and so far, it's working, but it is not really enough. Maybe they should use the money they made over the past few years to plug up the rest of the cracks.
Speaking of Bush, I wonder what he would be thinking about right now, seeing an ocean of oil off the coast?

NG isn't exactly a perfect think tank, if at all. You do have some points about 13 yr olds trying to sound like they been around politics all their lives, but as I said, This is not a professional think tank website here, especially when 95% of the community are smartasses and the other 5% know what they are talking about.
2. This place is fucking stuck in a death spiral of partisan squabble. Where the fuck did the middle ground go? Whenever someone gives their opinion on an issue it seems to always be a left leaning one or a right leaning one with maybe a few blatantly ignored middle ground guys because the left and right always love arguing with each other. It's like a old western shootout of jackassery with the moderates becoming collateral damage. Even worse is, it doesn't matter if its from anyone on the political spectrum, someone proves psychology right and refuses to believe a dead on fact because it doesn't conform to your current spin.
The ones who post in the political section of the forums are roughly around the ages of 12-25, and most of them tend to go left a lot of times because they want to sound cool and act all "libertarian" when most of them don't know what the fuck it means nor do they know any of different groups of libertarians. Though, you do see some more right wing thinkers nowadays, and some of their points I would agree with, but like the left-winger youth, there are a lot of jackassery around them too. Combine the politically ignorant youth with spewed out opinions, excessive cursing, and overall dumbassery, generally does not end well, more often than not.
3. Tired old topics and debates that provide literally nothing new. Go ahead and skim through the first three pages of Politics. Notice something? Yeah, most of them are boorish and redundant. How many China topics can you have before we get that they are evil commie bastards. The debate has turned into only what some people think are clever, but the topic is far from that. Yeah, I like current event stuff, but I also would enjoy some more high style debate like the further polarization of American politics or asking why do people of same political and religious beliefs flock to each other? Intellectual debate is shoved aside for, "The government sucks because of this..."
Calling China Communist is like saying the Browns will win the Super Bowl next year, so to speak, they may appear commie, but they love our money, and they are growing faster than weeds on steroids. As I stated before, the politically ignorant youth hop to conclusions on politics, and then they go here in a glorified pissing contest to see who is right, wheather or not they use facts and logic or just flavors of the month. {i.e Tea Party, Obama, France etc.}
I'd like to point out that I'm not targeting anyone specifically and everyone on here has been guilty of this at some point or another.
Granted, everyone makes dumbass posts once upon a time, we live and leard from that.
Know that I'm just trying to point out issues that I think could make this forum better, but in no way do I see shit actually changing because people are stuck in the old way of, "I'm right and you are not here is why," style of argument.
If your expecting a formal debate here on NG, you are really in a pipe dream, when you open the floodgates for the politically idiotic and ignorant, there is generally no going back, As NOFX sang about once, the idiots are taking over.
I've said what I have to say. Feel free to throw stones at me.
From the looks of your little rant, it isn't stones, it's fucking raining boulders now.
